P: Tilt-Shift & Technical Camera Lens Distortion Correction ToolOpen for Voting

I've already posted this in the Lightroom ideas, but it is equally important for ACR to have this feature.   I’d like to request a dedicated distortion correction tool for tilt-shift and technical camera lenses in Adobe Camera Raw.   Many tilt-shift and technical camera lenses do not save shift movements in metadata, making automatic correction difficult. However, some modern lenses, such as the Fujinon GF 30mm TS and 110mm TS, do record shift data, enabling software like Capture One to apply automatic corrections.   Rather than attempting to create lens profiles for every possible shift position, a more practical approach would be to calculate distortion based on the full shift range of the lens when shift metadata is available, while also providing manual correction controls for lenses that do not record shift data.   Proposed Tool Features: Automatic distortion correction for lenses that record shift metadata, using the full shift range to determine the correct portion of the image circle for distortion calculations. Manual input for X and Y shift values for lenses without metadata support. Sliders for barrel, pincushion, and complex (mustache) distortion to fine-tune corrections. An adjustable field to specify the radius (in mm) where distortion correction begins, as different lenses exhibit distortion at varying distances from the center. A second adjustable field to specify the full image circle radius, providing accurate placement of the shifted image within a larger virtual canvas that encompasses the full range of shift movements. This would allow users to properly align the image before applying distortion corrections.   Why This is Needed:Currently, correcting distortion for shifted images requires tedious manual adjustments. For example, with the Nikkor 19mm PC-E, users must manually place the image within a larger canvas and adjust distortion—an inefficient and imprecise workaround.   Given that other software already provides automatic corrections for modern lenses and supports manual distortion adjustments for older tilt-shift and technical camera lenses, Adobe should consider adding this capability to ACR.   This tool would be a valuable improvement for architectural, commercial, and fine art photographers who rely on these lenses.   Thank you for your consideration!

Improvements to Splitting and Text Import in Transcript and Caption WorkflowsOpen for Voting

1. Line breaks are ignored when importing text files [Issue] When importing a custom script (.txt file), the line breaks in the text data are completely ignored, forcing users to manually split segments all over again. [Request] Please add an option to "Split segments based on text file line breaks" when importing text files.2. Manual splits in the "Transcript" panel are reset when creating captions [Issue] Even if we manually and cleanly split segments using "Split Segment" in the Transcript panel to match the context of the speech, clicking "Create Captions" completely ignores these manual splits. The software recalculates the splits based solely on maximum character length and duration settings, ruining the adjustments made. [Request] Please add an option in the "Create Captions" preferences to "Preserve current segment splits from the Transcript panel."3. The behavior of the "Split" function in the Captions panel [Issue] When splitting a caption in the Captions panel or on the timeline, the text is not actually split at the cursor's position. Instead, the entire original text is simply duplicated into both the first and second blocks. This forces the user into an incredibly inefficient process of manually deleting the excess text from both blocks every time they split a clip. [Request] Please change the behavior so that when a caption is split, the text data is actually divided at the specified cursor position, rather than duplicated.Improving these specifications would dramatically increase the efficiency of captioning workflows and further enhance the usability of Premiere Pro. Thank you very much for considering these updates for future releases.

Multiple usage requests in the China region!Open for Voting

I am an editor based in China who primarily works on the final cut of films and TV series. I have been using Premiere Productions for many years and am very fond of it. However, Adobe faces many challenges in China. I would like to voice a common concern shared by most editors in our country and hope you can help us resolve it. We can’t even find a single place in China where we can buy genuine Adobe software; we have to go all the way to Hong Kong to purchase it. I find it unbelievable how Adobe has neglected us. In China, we are unable to access many Adobe features, such as Adobe Firefly and Frame.io. We hope you can help us gain access to these powerful tools. We hope you will introduce more practical features specifically tailored for film and TV productions. In many countries and regions, the editing software ecosystem is being dominated by DaVinci Resolve, as Resolve holds the final say over the output process. However, I still believe that Premiere’s editing capabilities and ecosystem surpass those of Resolve; yet, Premiere needs more ways to integrate with Resolve. We often face challenges when handing off projects to colorists after final cuts, as collaboration is hindered by differences in the algorithms and logic between the two software programs. We hope there will be a way to quickly import Premiere projects into Resolve for professional color grading. If the difficulty of transferring between the two software programs could be reduced, it would encourage many film and TV editors to return to Premiere. We hope you can hear our heartfelt message. Thank you very much.
