Feedback regarding changes to changing brush hardness.Open for Voting

Dear Adobe Support, I’m writing to express my concern and frustration regarding a recent change made to Photoshop CC. As a long-time user and supporter of Adobe products, I’ve always appreciated the powerful tools and capabilities your software provides. However, this recent update has significantly impacted my workflow and overall user experience. Specifically, I’m unhappy with the following: I used to be able to Alt + right mouse button drag to change the brush hardness, this has been altered to change brush opacity, something that I could already do by pressing a number key. There appears to be no way to reverse this feature or an alternative quick and easy method to change the brush hardness, so I have lost an extremely convenient feature of PSCC. I am disturbed that this feature appeared without apparent warning, and I spent a significant time trying to fix what I thought was either a fault or a corrupted preference setting. While I understand the need for innovation and evolution, many of this change feels like it was implemented without sufficient input from your user base. Photoshop is a vital part of my creative process, and it's disheartening to see it moving in a direction that feels less intuitive and more restrictive. I urge Adobe to reconsider this change, or at least offer users more flexibility in how updates are applied and features are accessed. Transparency, user choice, and performance should remain top priorities. Thank you for your time and for considering this feedback. Sincerely,Dave Stokes. email:                           <Mod: mail address removed>Customer No.:              <Mod: removed>   [Moderator] [personal information removed per policy -  https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-community-professionals/email-signatures-and-personal-information/td-p/4786467 [This is a public forum, not Adobe support, please do not post personal information]

Why After Effects’ Expression Editor Needs an UpdateOpen for Voting

After Effects’ built-in Expression Editor needs a serious update. There are several critical issues that make writing expressions frustrating:Outdated font and tooltipsThe current editor uses a dated, hard-to-read font, and its tooltips are old-school and cluttered. Simply switching to a modern monospaced font and refreshing the tooltip design would greatly improve readability and comfort.Unhelpful error messages and code completionVague, cryptic error messages leave you guessing, and the autocomplete suggestions are often off-base typing a dot after an object still frequently yields irrelevant entries that trigger errors. A smarter IntelliSense that accurately lists properties and methods after a period would save countless headaches.Suggested ImprovementsModernize UI elementsAdopt a programmer-friendly monospaced fontEnhance syntax highlighting with additional themes and user customizationEnrich tooltips with type information and links to official documentationReal-time error detectionFlag syntax and type errors as you type, with clear visual indicatorsProvide concise, meaningful messages.Advanced autocompleteOffer precise property and method suggestions immediately after typing a dotPrioritize completions based on scope analysis to surface the most relevant entriesImplementing these changes will make expression authoring in After Effects far more pleasant and efficient and will empower users to focus on creativity rather than wrestling with the editor. Please consider these updates for the next release.
