Eyedropper and Color Sampler ImprovementsOpen for Voting

Dear Photoshop Developers I have recently started working with 32bit greyscale images, and need to make finite adjustments to greyscale values. When brightening or darkening these images, I would love to be able to monitor how I'm affecting the actual pixel values. The problem is to do with the Eyedropper sample tools using 32bit greyscale images. It occurs when using either the eyedropper or colour sampler tools. When I open a 32 bit greyscale image in photoshop; levels, curves, and exposure adjustment layers are often required to see the work which is being carried out due to the enormous DR of 32bit.The first image above is without exposure adjustment preview or layers turned on. The second image has the exposure adjustment layers turned on so I can see what I'm doing. In 26.5, I understand that I can select the adjustment layer above the base image, and it will show adjusted/original value comparison. But I need to be able to work on a duplicate of the base image with dodge and burn, rather than a layer mask of curves etc. Ideas for improvement. For this workflow, I would greatly benefit from some adjustments or additions to the colour sample tool. 1. The ability to have more than 10 color sampler points. If it's not too computationally intensive, it would be great to have significantly more sample points on screen; perhaps even 100 or more.  2. When adding a sample point, the option for the sample readout to automatically default to the value of the image's working space. E.g., if the image is 8 bit, the samples should be in 0-255. But in 32bit, they should default to be in 0-1 (preferably with more than 2 decimal places). See image below 3. The ability to see the actual values on screen next to the sample points, as well as in the panel. For example, If I could work on a duplicate of the original Layer 0 as working Layer 1, and show the 'before/after' values on screen, that would be perfect. See below 4. For the sample values can be shown independently of the adjustment layers such as curves, levels, and exposure.  Summary1- have many point or average sample spots on the workspace; perhaps up to 100?2- for the default sample value to mirror that of the document by default. E.g., 0-255 for 8 bit, 0.000-1.000 for 32bit. Perhaps have an option for more than 2 decimal place accuracy3- for these sample points to show altered values in relation to the original unaltered value. This could be referencing a selected layer(s) or a group(s).4- Independent sample reading between original and adjusted. The benefitThe benefit of these ideas is utimately to be able to make adjustments and compare the altered values with the original value on the fly.  Kindest,Jeremy

Keep playhead positionedOpen for Voting

I would like to have the playhead stay where I put it when performing edits in Premiere Pro, especially when zooming in/out. When zooming in/out the playhead always moves back to the center of the timeline regardless of where I position it, and regardless of the timeline scroll setting. (My scroll setting is set to page scroll.) For me, the expected behavior is that the playhead stays positioned and the timeline moves around it, since I manually positioned it. Ideally, the playhead position would not change with most edits or changes in view, because I want to edit where the playhead is positioned, and keep it positioned in the same place on the timeline. I can't edit as fast as I would like because I move the timeline/playhead to the left side of the timeline and when I zoom in to get a better view it scrolls the timeline so the playhead is centered, and I then have to scroll the timeline back to where I had it positioned. (Zooming out also does this, but it usually takes a few zoom out steps to become completely centered.) I edit on two 27" 4K monitors at 100% display scaling on Windows, and use both monitors to display PP panels, with the timeline on the right monitor. Because it defaults to moving the playhead to the center of the panel, I am constantly having to scroll the timeline horizontally to get the playhead back to where it's usable for me. This is probably not an issue for those with a monitor centered in front of them, but those who don't could benefit from this small change. That, or the ability to change how fast the mouse wheel scrolls the timeline without changing a system setting would be the next best thing (it's painfully slow to scroll horizontally with the mouse wheel).

Add Rec.2020 as a default colorspace option in PhotoshopOpen for Voting

The Rec2020 colorspace (aka ITU-R BT.2020) is a critical colorspace for photography and not a standard option in Photoshop. You can only install it yourself or open a file which already has it embedded, which makes things cumbersome and prone to error (there are different Rec2020 profiles on the web with different gammas, etc). Rec2020 is the preferred colorspace for HDR (and is LRC's working primaries when in HDR mode). Rec2020 is also very ideal for print-related work as it includes many printable colors which fall outside Adobe RGB / P3, and yet avoids the excess of ProPhoto (which includes many imaginary values outside the range of human vision). Request: please add default support in Photoshop for Rec.2020 colorspace (ie just as we have default support for sRGB, ProPhoto, etc). Ideally this colorspace would use a D65 white point and rec709 EOTF to faciliate SDR workflows for print. That ETOF would be most consistent for SDR editing controls in curves, color picker, etc under the roughly gamma 2.2 used most often with sRGB, AdobeRGB, and P3 (note that the EOTF would be linear by default in 32-bit mode and therefore consistent with opening an image in Rec2020 ACR). Note: If you set LR external editing colorspace for ProPhoto and then open a RAW smart object in PS, it will use Rec2020 as the closest match. So this creates a path for some Rec2020 support, but it is a confusing/hidden option and does not support SDR. Rec2020 is a better choice in SDR for many workflows. Rec2020 is an explicit and always available option in ACR, and should be in LR as well.
