It would be nice if there were a way to set the resolution limit for videos in Media Encoder, specifically the vertical dimension, and create a preset to handle this automatically. For example, I have footage that is either 3840 x 2160 or 4096 x 2160 (or maybe another horizontal resolution x 2160). It would be nice to set the resolution limit for the vertical dimension to 1080, and the horizontal dimension would automatically adjust to maintain the original aspect ratio. For this example, the result would be 1920 x 1080 and 2048 x 1080. Handbrake has this capability, but queueing a bunch of videos isn't the easiest.
Don't know if it's a bug or Adobe devs just forgot to think it through. There's a video here with the incorrect horizon line:So I rotate this video via the rotation parameter untill the horizon is correct and naturally black (empty) spaces appear in the corners:I then press the Fill icon in the Properties panel and get the rotation parameter reset back to null.So the Fill icon in the properties panel acts exactly like the main Fill found in the mouse context menu. What it should do is fill up the screen with the image removing the empty space no matter how the clip\layer was changed via the other parameters. If it wasn't thought through then, please, fix it. If it's so "by design", well...
Quality of life request. The Graph Editor resizes function curves if I press the back tick (tilde) key and ENLARGE the viewing area. Problem is, it DOESN’T restore the function curve to fit back down within the window when I press back tick again and make the Graph Editor smaller. The timeline and curve just get cropped. Please make it so it resizes the timeline and function curve when the window is made smaller again.
I tried using the AI audio feature again, and unlike the beta version it made my audio much worse. Although the enhanced audio shows as a separate tab there is no way to undo it or delete it. I had to delete the whole clip and replace it with the original to revert. I saw suggestions in the forum to get out of the program and start deleting folders but I don't like messing around under the covers. The Enhanced Audio feature needs an undo/delete since it is far from perfect in my experience.
Please add an option to import and export keyboard shortcut presets with ease. So I can quickly import my shortcuts to other Premiere versions, like Beta, and my secondary Premiere copy on my laptop. Could it be synced with an Adobe profile at least? Thanks.
It would be perfect if you can add the ability to specify an default export folder for exporting to iOS Photos.
Hi everyone,I saw this post about how could you "allow one track to be soloed at a time". And unfortunately it seems that it doesn't exist. As the author said, this is a common feature in audio software. The "latch" solo allows you to solo multiples tracks, and the "XOR" solo cancels previews solos to enable the only one you clicked.Someone in his comment was wondering why this feature was "something that a lot of users like and/or wanted". The answer is very easy :This is the best way to compare a sound. By quickly switching from one sound to another without cutting.I try to see if there was some hidden shortkey like Alt + Left Clic on the solo button to change his behaviour, but the only thing I found is Shift + Left Clic on the solo button which enable all tracks on solo. (This is not extremely usefull, but it is convenient if we want to shut all solo buttons that has been activated.)So I though it would be such a great thing to implement a similar feature, but with "Alt + Left Clic" on the solo button for exemple, to make the solo "XOR" mode, and let the "Latch" mode by default. That way all solos work the same as usual, but if we want to compare sounds, we just have to press Alt while clicking on the solo button. I would greatly appreciate your upvotes or comments, to increase the chances of getting an update for this.
I can't match speech or a beat to what's inside a NEST. It would be useful to have markers to show where clips inside start.
Complete newbie to PS CC here. I take multiple exposures of the night sky and stack them in software to make dim, Deep Sky Objects (DSOs) like nebulae and galaxies visible. This method is very popular among astrophotographers. The format of choice both for acquisition and stacking appears to be FITS files. Currently I can't find a way to open FITS files in PS. I have to convert my FITS files into something PS opens natively. I know of 2 old standalone freeware packages which can do this but I wondered if anyone knew of a way to do it from within PS.
When copying a NEST in the project panel and there are NESTs inside it, the inside ones don't get duplicated SO you end up changing that element elsewhere in the project without realising it.When coping a NEST, all NESTS inside should also become a new instance so you can edit it without breaking other parts of your sequence.
I can never see what is selected when adjusting a mask. A simple update would be to make selected handles on a mask red for easy identification.
I think it would be good to have the option to block a panel horizontally or/and vertically. Some occasions rescale a panel means breaking the proportion of others (especially when they are not responsive), In case of being able to block them, they would move from place without losing their proportion.
Sorry to miss the prerelease webinar, I am really interested in Artboards. I use them constanly in my work as I create different layouts of the same artwork within one project. I would like to see these three artboard settings available on Adobe Illustrator Desktop: 1. Add plus icons on each side of an artboard, only when selecting the Artboard Tool. That way we can make a new artboard on any side of our current artboard. A. When the new artboard is created, make it the same size as the current artboard, automatically. B. When adding an artboard on Illustrator on the iPad, you can choose the size you want the new artboard to be. That's awesome! 2. Name of the artboard and the size of the artboard above the top left corner so we can recognize the artboard at a glance. The name is visible on Illustrator on the iPad. I like that! 3. Comparable sizing in artboard measurements. Some artboards sizes are pixels and others are in inches, but the pixel boards look huge compared to inches. Why? Can we make the sizes consistent please? Why are 1920 pixels equal 26 inches? Is 6inches less than 1920 pixels? Why? If this is the wrong forum, then please let me know. Thank you! DTM
If I click on the Description field of a folder, a box temptingly appears, but it's impossible to type anything into it. I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to add a description to folders/bins in the Project Panel (exactly as I can add a description to anything else in PPro's Project panel). It's been impossible to add a description to a folder for many (all?) versions of PPro. Maybe it's "as designed", but it's not logical or useful. It's exactly the same if I show the "Comment" column: I cannot add a comment to a folder/bin. Let's have describable* bins, please! *To be pronounced in the style of "capable": https://youtu.be/3MWpHQQ-wQg?si=QtdESkhgp7faqjT1&t=28
Similar to "Reveal in Project" or "Reveal in Finder/Explorer" it would be nice to have an additional "Reveal in Media Browser" option that opens the chosen file in Media Browser, including showing the folder path in the left hand column. One of the common uses of "Reveal in Finder" is to quickly find other takes from the same card/folder that have not yet been imported. Because some file types can not be natively previewed in Finder or Explorer (eg RedRaw, or ProRes on a Windows machine), it would be much easier to reveal the files directly in the Media Browser so that the other media can be previewed and imported from there.
Hi dear After Effects Team. I love the customizability within the keyboard shortcuts menu, however it puzzles me that there are quite a few keys that "may not be reassigned". Please remove this and let us change all keybinds, you could replace the hard lock with a warning if the user is absolutely certain that they want to change this key, but I can't comprehend why you would let people completely customize their experience, yet lock a few essential keys..
It would be really useful if there was an 'export all graphs' or 'export selected graphs' option. If I have a substance file with a bunch of graphs that I need to batch export, I'd like to select them all and do export selected, or something similar. I don't see any way of doing this and you need to run through them all one by one exporting, as it currently stands.
When exporting textures the export window stays open afterwards, and the program will not take any more inputs until it is manually closed. I do not see the point, it's just an extra bunch of clicking for no reason. Can we have an option to make the window disappear after you've exported and you can carry on. This might not seem like a big deal but with no option to batch export graphs you find yourself having to constantly close the window and it's just redundant clicking.
Hi Adobe, I am a bit pissed that in 2025 I have to spend such a long time manually removing my round edges to make mockups. Is there no way that after I create a smart object and it free transforms into my mockup, I have the option to round the edges? Why do I have to spend so much time doing manually masked round edges? When I create rectangular shape for a mockup, it immediately gives option for rounding the edges but as soon as I need to move to smart object, it looses it. Wouldn't itHi Adobe,I'm frustrated that in 2025 I still have to spend a lot of time manually removing round edges for my mockups. Is there no way to keep the option to round the edges after I create a smart object and transform it into my mockup? When I create a rectangular shape for a mockup, I can easily round the edges. However, once I convert it into a smart object, that option disappears. Wouldn't it be more efficient if the option to round the edges remained available throughout the entire project?Thank you for considering this improvement.be easier if this option is available until the end of the project?
I rendered out a 4K deliverable of a short film that is due for a Sundance today and Premiere Pro/Media Endcoder rendered out the Warp Stabilizer warning banner. I'm just wondering why it would do this as it has ruined the film for one scene of the entire film. There is no option to turn off the rendering of warning banners globally but I didn't worry about it as I never thought it would render it. I would have checked through the project and pre-rendered it but there wasn't enough time to do everything. All I did was add a dip to black which triggered the warning banner but I knew there wasn't going to be an issue as the tracking data was still the same, hence ignoring the banners. Please consider not rendering warning banners for future releases or at least giving the option to switch it off globally for rendering. Thanks, Chris
This is an idea that we've had to correct a couple times, and while we appreciate the 'missing media' alert, an 'un-analyzed clips' alert would be just as useful, if not more useful. Perhaps a different color bar over clips that have a stabilizer on them or? Thank you! Michael
I edit a lot of big, long projects in Premiere. Weddings that are hours long, etc... Often times, I use a lot of warp stabilizer filters. Then when I close the project and come back to it another day to export it, the filters will have unanalyzed, leaving the blue banner across the footage. Since I don't have time to go through and scan the entire timeline myself in order to check for these before export, I often either don't notice it until I've already published the DVD and given it to a client and THEY notice it (obviously not good), or while I'm authoring the DVD and skimming through in order to add chapter marks (still not good, as I now have to waste time going back to premiere and re-analyzing, then wait hours for it to re-export). Is there any feature in Premiere that allows me to simply check whether there are any unrendered or un-analyzed filters in the timeline? Similar to the feature in Encore where you can "Check project" and it lets you know if there are any problems with the project? And if not, can Adobe please add a feature like this?Either that, or PLEASE make the filters and rendering in Premire more stable, so that closing projects or the program DOESN'T undo them all the time? It's quite the frustrating thing to have happen all the time. And it does happen all the time. Please and thank-you.
