Lightroom Classic

Hola a todos. He querido conectar mi cámara Canon R6 MarkII al macbook M3 (Sequoia 15.1) con conexión wifi y no me ha sido posible. sin embargo lo hago con Capture One y va directo y como un tiro. ¿Alguien ha tenido este problema y ha sabido solucionarlo? No he conseguido averiguar nada a través de los manuales o ayuda online robotizada que nada aportan si no es fustración. A veces quieres mantener el software de edición con el que siempres trabajas pero la falta de soluciones o ayudas a estas incidencias hacen que te plantees finalizar con la suscripcion e iniciarla con otras opciones mas resolutivas. En fin.....

I normally have LrC set with a Raw Default based on my camera (Sony A7rV). This does a few things like set my preferred sharpening, some basic exposure settings, etc. This is all fine when I use my camera normally, i.e., take pictures and import them.But, sometimes I use tethering when I use the camera for scanning negatives for further processing with Negative Lab Pro. It's about the most efficient workflow. In that case, I don't want this preset/default applied. There is no apparent way to turn that off or apply a different preset during tether like I can do with Import. Or am I missing something? Do I really need to go to preferences and turn off specific camera raw defaults and make Global a different preset that zeroes out nearly everything? It would seem better if the tethering window had a way to override that.

LR is taking too long to make Smart Previewshey therewhen i make Smart Previews to all the raw files in the catalog  ( to taranfer them to outside editor ) LR just slow . its takes me alot of time to finish the process LR - only using 30 % CPU and 0 % GPU  my Pc is very very strong . using the AND 5900Xand RTX 3080and all the raw files are on internal SSD (sumsung 990 pro ) i got 5000 raw files in the catalog and i really think to Buy the M2 ultra just becues of that ! its just me ? 

I've now had a colored pop up come up in Lr Classic 14.01 and ask to "refine previews for HDR to use them in the Library Modue." If I click yes, it proceeds but takes forever...I see a status bar for like a half hour. This has been occurred through multiple starts over a few days since I upgraded to 14.0. I had problems with LrC crashing recently, apparently unrelated to this, but involving possible corrupt file I created today. I deleted all my previews as a consequence, but then got the popup agains. Even though there's like only about 500MB of previews currently in Previews.lrdata. But it's growing as I watch. What I wonder is whether if it finds something not "refined" for HDR if it rebuilds ALL the previews for all the files in the library. Or if I should just ignore it. I do use HDR all the time, and I like now being able to see HDR in the Library, but this is kinda nuts.

Hello.I mostly work in Bridge and Photoshop but need to use Lightroom because it has a "Map" module. Baffling that Bridge does not have this, but I digress.I am trying to figure out if there is a way in Lighroom to "Import" a group/folder of photos so that only Lightroom upon import creates a Symlink of sorts that points to the location of the group/folder without actually copying those photos. The issue I'm having is when I import using Lightroom, I end up with another "Library" that has those same images which is doubling the use of disk space. Is it possible to Import  folders/photos so that the photos are "left in place" rather than copied?  I see that the three option for import are Copy as DNG, Copy, Move, and Add.I hope I'm making this clear. Apple's Final Cut video edit app allows you to "Leave Media in Place" on Import, and this is what I'd like to do in Lightroom.Thanks Jonathan

I have been using LR Classic since version 1, but have not studied the nature of LR catalogues until now. As new versions of LR Classic appeared, new catalogues have been created automatically, and, sadly, I have been ignorant of this. I now want to merge them all into one catalogue, as per the recommendation in your help text.Presently, LR Classic catalogues and data files are located as seen in the attached document "LR-Classic_Catalogues and Data Locations.pdf".I will prefer to have the resulting single catalogue and related data located on the external harddisk, with the original picture files. This is to save space on my laptop's harddisk.I will be very happy to receive advice on how to go about this in a safe way.

It would be great to move Collections over to another catalog (and not folders associated). My goal was to move all my portfolio-potential images (in collections) over to its own Catalog.  I only see my file folders available to move. I would imagine LR could find a way for this to work. They have made so many leaps and advances, lately.  If I am mistaken and it is possible, please share. Maybe I missed something. 

I have lightroom Classic on my PC and am loading my images on to LRC which then connects to Lithroom icloud.  However Icloud is uploading all the images, including those I have rejected for LRC.  I need to find out how to change this or the correct procedure for uploading.  (As I am ending up with stored images in Lightroom icloud that I dont want stored.  What can i read or wathc to learn about this.    [moved to the correct community - Mod.]

I'm using Capture One and Lightroom Classic on the same machine. How do I prevent Lightroom from seeing and copying the raw images I have in Capture One? Both occupy the Pictures folder. Yes, Im new to Lightroom Classic. macOS Sequoia

When I try to export an image from Lightroom Classic to Photoshop or Nik Effects 7 the app will not open until I close Lightroom.  This just started happening a few days before the latest update so I updated everything hopeing that would fix the problem.  It did not.  I have not had any issues until just a few days ago.  Also Lightroom runs dog slow loading and switching images.  Any suggestions? PC UserProcessor Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10850K CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHzRam 64.0 GBSystem type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processorWindows 11 latest updateAdobe updated to current versions. 

Print function in Lightroom Classic has just suddenly stopped working. I can press print and the "Prepairing Print Job" feature lights up but the uplaod does not start. Nothing shows in the print que either and the program is frozen and has to be shut down. Restarting and hitting print starts the whole cycle over again .  I have turned bother printer, program and PC off and restarted to no avail and checked for posts on this matter but found nothing. Any assistance would be appreciated.  I have checked that I have the latest Adobe updates. My printer is an Epson SC800 and it is printing a text page correctly and working with other software. 

Lightroom classic, 14.0.1 on Mac.  I dragged and dropped my pictures (around 89,000 pictures) which are in an old external drive, into a new external drive using the finder method.  I did not do this "inside LR" as I had read this could be prone to errors. I opened lightroom, added the new drive to the folders panel in Lightroom.  How do I tell light room that the catalogue, on the computer hard drive and in the original location, needs to associate with the photos on the new drive?  Thank you in advance.

I often email photos and have been using the Lightroom email photos function which did just what I wanted - it attached jpegs to s new message in Thunderbird (on Windows 10 machine), where I added text and addrreses. Just a few days ago it was working perferctly, but yesterday it no longer worked. Everything looked fine in Lightroom, but no message was created in Tbird. I have tried rebooting etc. but the problem peersists. I am not aware of changing any settings or anything, but LR may mave updated (to 10.11). I can't think of anThere have been no other changes as far as I know,

Where has the visualize spots gone to on my LrC cc? Did I loose it or was it removed in the latest update? Need to remove some dust spots and that was my go to workflow tool. Thank you in advance.   It was so easy to click on the visualize spots and see the contrast black and white that was adjustable to see the spots easier.

Mac Sonoma LRC 14    So this only happens during a specific situation. If I import one set of photos (whether its from an SD card or an SSD) the previews generate as they should. For some reason, if I go to import another set of photos directly after (regardless whether its from an SD card or SSD) the previews take FOREVER to generate. About 10x longer than the first set. The only variable is when the photos are imported. Its always the second set. This has been a problem since LRC 14. 

I can't find visualise spots tool - it used to be where the red box is, but I can never see it despite it showing in tutorials?

I have Lr 14.0.1 (latest update) installed about 10 days ago - it now doesn't select "people" - it used to work fine. Everything else, sky, subject, etc all ok - just people. It selects people as a "subject" but that doesn't allow me to then further select face, eys, hair etc. Is this a known bug in this version?

Hi,I am experiencing some problems with keyword hierarchies. Frequently when I select a keyword to move it in the hierarchy, LR freezes for some seconds, then has a bunch of keywords selected and won't let me move the one I want to.Is there a limit to hierarchy depth?   LRC won't start up again !!!

I created a .dcp profile for my Hasselblad X2D.  It is located in User/Application Support/Adobe/Camera Raw/Camera Profiles. It is also located in the folder Lightroom Settings/Develop Presets/User Presets.However it does not show up when I have a file from the camera.  There are no camera matching presets other than Adobe Standard.  If I try to import it the import fails with the message Can't Import all presents already imported.What is going on?  Any thoughts or advice? This was created from a ColorChecker Passport and the Adobe app.Thanks
