It only shows the name in the top of the screen, and then two files "blink" that ends with shm and wal. Tried all ideas from youtube, google etc.Tried to run it as an admin, uinstall, update products etc. Cant find a .lock file either. Can someone help?
No matter what changes in the performance I do, or the location of the where the data resides. Lightroom background process seems to freeze and time out after a period of time and then starts working for 5 mins normally, then spend 15 to 20 mins in the frozen/hung state. the foreground process/ activity isn't impacted as much. CPU and disk are not taxed. Is there anything in my computer config that might be causing this issue. Dear Community... I have a big work to do.... but Lightroom isn't working anymore stable. Every 1-10 minutes its crashing without a report! Just while I m switching to the next photo (in edit mode), changing the stars of a photo...or just scrolling through. What the heck is going on?! I have just made more space on my catalog SSD, optimized the catalog and now this... :'(... I have also updated now to the newest LRCC Version - but its still crashing. My System: Windows 10 AMD 5900X, AMD 6700XT with 24.4.1 (I know its not the latest, but I hadn't problems with LR in the past and had nothing changed for the GPU etc.!) 64GB Ram I feel really really alone with this... the supportpage isn't a help, no hints to a ticket system, nothing to a crash report folder etc... really bad support options for a long year payed user. The community has to help now?! "_"
I'm working in Lightroom Classic and always name my folders after the subject of the shoot when I import. The folder names (i.e. "Bob's high school graduation") are reflected correctly on my hard drive, but the Lightroom folder structure only shows dates - no folder names. The dates are not at all useful to me, and I have to believe that there is a way to get Lightroom to show me the actual folder names. Here is the view of Lightroom showing dates for folders:But then I've noticed that Lightroom seems to know the actual folder names that I want it to show when I look to import files into the catalog, as shown in this second view below:I'm thoroughly confused. Is there some setting somewhere that I'm missing where I can tell Lightroom to show me the folder names in instead of the folder dates?Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
For month now after every (!) update of LR Classic under Windows 11 the program language is set to german (the language of my OS) and I have to re-set it to English every time. Why can LR not remember such a simple settings value?
Hello Everyone, I'd like to know if you've also had the problem shown in the attached image below: Lightroom doesn't detect skies, objects or people. In other words, the Mask AI functions are not working properly. I would like to point out that the use of GPU is disabled, because if I enable it, I get the problem of noise and pixelation of the image, a problem already described by me and others at https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-bugs/p-gpu-develop-edit-view-amp-export-artifacts-after-14-4-1-update-amd-only-affects-cr-lrc-amp-lrd/idi-p/14563606. However, even with the GPU enabled, I can NOT detect the sky, objects or people. I'm using a 2019 MacBook Pro with 16GB and an I9 processor. The Graphics Processor is AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 4 GB; Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB Until last month I was using a 2014 MacBook Pro with 16GB and an I7 processor and this problem did not happen. It's regrettable...And with this older machine, despite the l
as mentionned in this page:https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/photography/discover/focus-stacking.html im trying to use the "edit in" (to go to photoshop) feature of lightroom, but it aint there.. its not in _Photo either. edit:trying in Classic now, i was using the other one..
Vielen Dank. Liebe Grüße Manuel
Lightroom Classic for Mac 13.5.1, Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1 (all current updated versions) This is an old bug, that was with us intermittently since Adobe first allowed syncing of custom .dcp profiles to mobile cloud. I believe it WAS FIXED some time in the past, I definitely remember my custom profiles working for some time, but as of now, in 13.5.1 - they are broken again (I think were broken since 13.3 when they changes something major in the sync engine again). Steps to reproduce: 1/ in LR Classic enbale cloud sync, create a synced collection and populate it with some pics with custom camera profiles (.dcp) in Develop settings. Let the sync complete. 2/ Result: despite the sync status in Lightroom reporting "all synced", if you attempt to open this pic in Lightroom mobile on your phone, or iPad, or Mac, it will report "Missing Profile" with warning that if you continue editing the profile will be reset to Adobe defaults. Please fix this bug once and for all already. I
Everytime I use the COPY button to copy my edits and paste onto another photo, the computer freezes! Have to shut down computer manually to start over. Any suggestions? Thanks!!
I moved some files from a folder to a new drive. A few of the files (~300) were moved using LR, but it became clear is was going to take many hours (>20K files), so I stopped and used Explorer to move the rest. After they all finally transferred, the folder in the original drive had a ? on it and indicated the folder was missing. I clicked the folder and selected find the missing folder, then selected the folder located in the new drive. It then alerted me to the fact that the folder already was in LrC and asked if I wanted to Merge. I said yes. I then get this error message:This is an error message that gives me no idea what is wrong. If I click OK, LrC consumes ~5% of CPU for a long time (over 30min) with no change in anything. I restarted LrC and restarted Win10, but see the same result. Does anyone have any idea what this error message means. Lightroom Classic version: 13.5.1 [ 202408271704-d15d09cd ]License: C
I used to be able to import photos from MacBook Pro photos app direct to Lightroom. Unfortunately now when I click import in Lightroom and under my hard drive I select photos and it says no photos available. I basically now have to drag the photos from my photos app on my Mac to the desktop then I can import to Lightroom. I don't know if I accidentally changed a setting, but can someone help me so I can again import photos from photo app to Lightroom.
Leaving about a 2" extra margin at the top of cut sheet printing. Printing from Photoshop is fine. Settings are all the same. Very experienced user here. Roll paper is no problem. Very baffling. Prob not many 9570 users out there yet, but getting a little desperate, already sold and moved out the p9000. Left print in attahced file is from Photoshop, right print is from Lightroom. All print settings are identical. macOS 10.15.7
In the filmstrip, where it says "Filter" towards the bottom right of the screen, it shows flags, edits, rating, color, and "kind". I ONLY want to see the flags, rating, and colors. (Not kind or edits) I've been able to fix this in other versions, but since intalling from scratch on a new computer, I can't seem to make "kind" and "edits" dissapear?? It's hogging precious space on the area of the screen that I use most often and I can't seem to figure out how to customize this. Clicking the "Filter" buttom (where the hand appears) gives an all or nothing approach, and hitting the "Filters off" toggle (with up/down arrows) only gives me flags and ratings, but no color options (where did this option go?). What am I missing? My previous LR was set up this way and it was perfect for culling images. Hoping that someone can help? I'm on a Mac OS.
Muchas gracias.
I'm a newby here & when I first started I was syncing my photos from Lightroom Classic to Lightroom Mobile....I have since turned off syncing & re organized my collections in Lightroom Classic. So, I would like to delete everything in Lightroom Mobile & only sync certain collections from Lightroom Classic. Can I do this? If I delete the photos in Lightroom Mobile will they get deleted in Lightroom Classic as well?if this can be done, can someone please explain to me how to do it without losing my Lightroom Classic photos?
Using LrC on macos (latest versions). 3/3 times now, while I'm editing a photo, my edit session exits without warning while I'm adjusting one of the effects settings such as clarity or dehaze on a linear mask I applied. I noticed that when this happens, the little sync status cloud in upper right tells me its syncing a few files (< 5). When issue occurs a different number of files are syncing.I very much doubt its the file I'm editing, but hard to know since LrC no longer tells me which file(s) are syncing after the recent update. Even if it was syncing the file I'm editing, the sync should not rip away my edit work without warning or explanation.I attached a video showing me editing a photo, then all of a sudden "poof" the image goes away. When I reopen the image, the changes I was making in the first part of the video are gone.
Hello, how can i change to a small font if i can't see the reset button, because I had just changed the size to a larger one? Thank you!
I am new to Lightroom Classic. I created a catalog with 600 pictures from my iphone. I divided them into several collections based on the date they were taken. I also want to add pictures from another iphone and also from a camera. What is the best or easiest way to do that? Will these pictures be combined with the original 600 or put into separate catalogs or collections? Will these additional photos be easy to find or locate?
I've spent a very frustrating couple of hours trying to tether this camera into LRC. YES, I downloaded and installed the required plug-in for the GFX cameras and I am running the latest version of LRC. The Fuji GFX cameras are on on Adobe's list of compatible cameras. As far as I have gotten is getting LRC to finally recognize the camera when the tethering panel is launched. But there is no live view from the camera in LRC and the capture button does nothing. ???
I need to process a photo for an exhibition I shot last April. I wanted to go back to the original file, so I tried to open the catalog it would be on, got a "corrupt" and "repairing" notification, and then it failed due to an error. I tried the backup—the same thing. I then tried multiple catalogs from the same time period dating back to 2019. The same thing happened to them all. This doesn't destroy me, but it will cost me time. It is very discouraging.
I have updated the newest version of Lightroom Classic, but as you can see on the screenshot right there is no "Generative Remove" in the Remove-Panel. I also de-installed and re-installed LrC. What can I do? Thank you!
I'm super happy that Adobe is dedicating so much effort to improving Artificial Intelligence and other resources to try to keep up with technological innovations. But, there's one question that they could focus on a little more: Is there ANY chance, even if it's tiny, of fixing the COUNTLESS bugs that exist in Lightroom or would it be easier for me to buy a computer 100% dedicated to the whims of Adobe and Lightroom Classic? Seriously, I've been facing problems for months like: computer shutting down (the infamous blue screen), software crashing, clicks being ignored, backups not being performed and others. I've already had to format the computer a few times, buy new parts (always believing that the problem was in the computer itself) and I've already made Lightroom a high priority. Is a computer with an AMD Ryzen 9 3900x processor, 32 GB of RAM and a 4 GB GeForce not enough for this "lovely" software? What do I need to buy to make Adobe's life easier, a computer w
Any idea why moving a zoomed image with the grabber hand would all of a sudden stop working in CC to move an image horizontally? It will move up/down, but not right/left/right. I noticed it first with the latest update, but even after re-installing the previous version it's still not working.
