I got a new camera and now Lightroom Classic wont name files properly when I export them. I constantly get the warning that the name is a duplicate even though the file number is different. I have selected "custom text-original file name". [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. A ‘bug’ is not just another word for any problem with software!]
I am one of the many people having problems with Denoise AI changing the colors of my photo. I have updated my GPU driver to the latest version, restarted everything, and the problem continues. I can even see color changes in the Enhance Preview window when I hold down the mouse button to supposedly show the unenhanced version in the preview. I have included below a screenshot with an example of the problem, and my system information from Lightroom Classic. Lightroom Classic version: 13.5 [ 202408062022-6258095b ] License: Creative Cloud Language setting: en Operating system: Windows 11 - Home Premium Edition Version: 11.0.22631 Application architecture: x64 System architecture: x64 Logical processor count: 32 Processor speed: 2.9GHz SqLite Version: 3.36.0 CPU Utilisation: 0.0% Power Source: Plugged In Built-in memory: 65309.7 MB Dedicated GPU memory used by Lightroom: 2634.8MB / 11996.0MB (21%) Real memory available to Lightroom: 65309.7 MB Real memory used by Li
Description of the Issue:When I select an image in the Library module and switch to the Develop module to edit it, Lightroom sometimes opens the wrong image for editing. This same issue occurs during export: the wrong image is exported. Troubleshooting:After troubleshooting with a support agent over chat and Bomgar, we identified that the issue seems to be related to file suffixes. For example, an image named _NL39617.ARW in the Library module opens the wrong image _NL39617-2.ARW in the Develop module. It appears that Lightroom is not properly cataloging images with identical names that have different suffixes, or those without a suffix. Additional Observations:I've attached screenshots that illustrate the problem. One image shows a subset of images in the Library, and the other shows the export results. Notice that the singer in the exported image is from a different set, and the bassist appears alone in the Library module. These mismatched images also show up incorrectly in
Sometimes I can't upload to Flickr from Lightroom classic. What I tried nut did not help:Latest version which is Lightroom 13.5Authenticating my account againAnd finally restating the PC, and then attempting to upload two times, first time it did not work, then it worked the second time. There's isn't a issue with Flickr, as I can upload to flickr.Any ideas what it can be? the issue seems to be with LIghtroom.I dodn't know why it works now, nor why it didn't work and why rebooting and trying two times made it work, or if that actually helped, or if something else solved it.

I use a Macbook and have been using Lightroom for a while. I have a silly issue. How can I move files from one hard drive to another, at root level? Each time I do this change, I seem to have to put the files into another subfolder rather than the root and then they are stuck into the wrong subfolder! Here I would like the 2024-08-11 Corse 2024 folder to be at the same level as the 2024-01-14 Appartement Neuilly and I dont know how to do that...Help welcome ! thanks!
Haven't used Portfoilio for a while. Tried to load a new album to create a portfoliio but lightroon says that there is an error connecting the album . Portfoilio /integrations say that "You don't have any Lightroom albums associated with your Adobe ID. Please visit lightroom.adobe.com to get started." I did in the past beacause I created these https://philipwilliams.myportfolio.com/ During some update to Lightroom classic all he sync links seems to have dissapeared. What has gone wrong?
Help with collections - I tried to post this once. I switched to a new computer. All my images are on an external drive so everything is fine there. All my presets came over fine. My collections names came over. But none of the images inside the collections. Any ideas? I still have my old computer with everything on it. Mark - Seattle Wa
Can anyone help me? For some reason I am not able to create virtual copies in Lightroom. This function seems not to be working, when it alway has previously. Any ideas to fix this would be much appreciates. Nikki
I am reposting this in Bugs as no one has responded when it was posted in Discussions. I hope it is OK to repost it. My computer is running Windows 11, Version 22H2, build 22621.3593. My version of LrC is 13.3.1. For the past 2 or 3 months, without warning LrC will simply close and I have to restart it. I have not been able to associate its closing with anything I am doing. I do not receive any error message at all when this happens. When I do restart, LrC never displays the image I was working on when it closed and similarly it never opens up to the same folder in my catalog. I have uninstalled and reinstalled LrC using the CC app, but that has not solved the problem. I assume that this behavior is due to some sort of bug. I have also noticed that LrC is using far more memory than it did in the past. Right now Task Manager is reporting that LrC is using 6,883.2 Mb of memory; right now I'm working on an image from my Canon R5 (51.2 Mb)
Hi! I have used Lightroom for quite some years now and have never had this problem before. I always organize my photos in folders on my laptop. The ones that I will edit I put in a 'favorites' folder. So in lightroom I import them as usual by selecting the folder and the photos. And now I noticed that the original photos disappeared from the 'favorites' folder on the laptop. In lightroom it doesn't show that the original photos are missing from the folder and all is fine, but I don't have the original ones anymore on my laptop and I have no idea where to find them. It was completely fine 3 months ago when I did it all the same way.
I own lightroom 3. It used to work well and view and edit all of my pictures without a problem. However, we recently got a new computer. When I loaded lightroom onto the new computer the program will not view the RAW images from my Canon 7D camera. Is there a plug in I need to download or is there an option like that that will allow lightroom to view my RAW images?
When I print from Lightroom Classic the print comes out demonstrobly darker than the screen OR than if I print using Canon Professional Print & Layout Manager. The print on the left is correct and from Canon Professional Print & Layout, the one on the right is printing from Lightroom.Anyone elase with this challenge? Thank you.
For years, when I've exported a RAW file to a jpg, if I were to go back and make some tweaks the that image in Lightroom and then export it again, I'd get the popup asking if I want to overwrite it, skip, or use a unique name. I'd hit "overwrite", and it would simply replace that jpg in the folder. Now, it's suddenly sending the old one to the trash, and writing the new one to the folder. How can I turn this off? I regularly go back and make adjustments and then overwrite. I don't want my Trash being filled up with dozens of images all the time.
I have LRC V13-3 For the last two days, when I try and go into develop mode and move between each section, LRC starts to flicker and wont let me do anything. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the sam thing happens. I have to force quit to get out of the program. Has anyone had this issue and how do I fix it? Thanks in advance 🙂 [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
Lieben Dank!
I've been using Lightroom Classic on a Mac consistently for as long as I can remember and only today am I having issues with being able to import photos. Apple M1 MacBook Air OS 13.2.1 (updated today in an attempt to fix the problem)Lightroom Classic Version 12.2.1 Camera Raw 15.2 (also updated today in an attempt to fix the problem).Portable HD Seagate USB External Physical Volume • ExFAT I typically drop my RAW files (NEF for Nikon, DNG for Ricoh GRIII) onto a portable hard drive, rename the files using Finder's 'Rename' feature, and then ADD them to Lightroom. My Catalog is stored in my MacBook Air as are the Previews. I can select the source folder, view the images in the grid, and LightRoom is letting me know which files are new and pre-selects them. I then select ADD, it appears to be loading the import, and then I get a message that there are "No Photos in Current Import." I have reviewed the threads to ensure that Lightroom Classic has Priva
o I was importing into LR Classic from a micro-SD GoPro card - and I changed the Sort file type to FileType - (to be easily able to import .gpr from .mp4) - and NOW sadly when I put in Sony A7C2 or RX12 cards - the raw files cannot be seen. This is not due to security permissions for seeing removable drives - I can also copy the .arw files to my hard drive and they can't be seen either. So it's something "busted" with filters or something. 😞 [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]
I have noticed that my photos are importing fine, then when I click on them they will randomly appear with colored lines through them. This isn't happening when I import the same photos into Nikon's editing software. I have also tried using a different connector in case the cord had been damaged.
Thought I had this issue resolved. Two weeks ago I, Uninstalled Photoshop Beta, Photoshop, and Lightroom Classic. Threw away their preferences and reinstalled Photoshop and Lightroom Classic. Painful but after reconstructing my workspaces, I was back to normal Lightroom opening without issue. This was two weeks ago. Today, as I was about to start a major Post-Production job for a client, Lightroom will not open. My trick of opening LRC from the catalog, didn't work. Lightroom will start working as shown in the Task Manager, but will not open on the montiors. After a few minutes, it just stops, as shown in the Task Manager. Photoshop opens without a problem. Over the past two weeks, Lightroom would arbitarily shut down. Annoying, but I could reopen without issue. So the bug is still present. I am running LRC 13.5, Photoshop 25.11, on a WIndows 10 Pro 64bit Version 22H2 machine. Is Adobe eve
HI!Could you tell me how to set the main export settings? I would like to deliver a good product to the end user to print. Let's say a generic export (I don't know beforehand what dimensions or media he will use). Thanks team.
I am migrating my LRC to a new computer and have the following question: On my old computer, user presets were located under "... Pictures/Lightroom/Lightroom Settings/Export Presets/User Presets." The Lightroom folder was also where my lrcat data was stored. On my new computer, most if not all info, settings, and data is stored under " ... /AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Lightroom/Lightroom Settings/Export Presets/User Presets." Is this a better file location for this data? What is the best location for the catalog?
In Lightroom Classic, when I click on “IMPORT,” I see ALL of my folders that I want to import. (see attached screenshot) The list of folders in Lightroom matches what I see in Windows Folder Explorer. So I select/click on the top-level folder, for example “2014” on the IMPORT “FROM” portion of the window to tell Lightroom where to find my import FROM folder. Then I click on “2014” on the IMPORT “TO” portion of my screen to tell Lightroom where to place my imported folder and files. Then I click on “IMPORT” at the bottom right of my screen and the IMPORT begins. After the import process is done ALL of my sub-folders that have an English name associated with the YYYY-MM-DD date format, for example, 2014-02-19 Tulip Garden”, are devoid/missing my photo files. Why is this happening? Thanx.
