Lightroom Classic, Windows 11 I have had many issues with v13, especially with previews and loss of history, see my post "Thumbnails not reflecting edits; History panel blank for photos which have been edited".https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/thumbnails-not-reflecting-edits-history-panel-blank-for-photos-which-have-been-edited/m-p/14911527#M381941 We have finally found a v12 catalog dated 30 August 2023 and have tested this catalog, using LR v12.5.2.  We have successfully upgraded it to v13.5.1.  If only that had been the case in the past!  And why did our v13 catalogs keep passing integrity and optimising checks? Anyway, if we keep using this earlier version it presumably means that we have lost over a year's worth of work.  Is there any way around this? Thank you for your help.

LRc 13.5.1 on Mac OS Sequoia 15.0 running on MacBook pro M3 Max   I posted about this bug before but it has become more frequent/regular so I was able to video it just now. It was present in LRc 12 and MacOS 14 and followed me despite a clean install when I moved to the MacBook Pro M3 Max.   Basically, LRc is supposed to be on the middle screen (Eizo 27" if matters). However, any time I move the mouse to one of the other screens (Dell on left; built in laptop screen on right) and if the mouse dips down to bring up the dock (without clicking anything), LRc will jump to that screen. It will jump back (almost always) if I then move the mouse back to the center screen and intentially move the mouse to the dock.   However, there are times when LRc won't jump until I have manipulated other apps open on the center screen and/or the left/right screens and then brought the mouse down to bring up the dock.   I hope someone has an answer/fix as this drives me crazy...   T

LRc 13.5.1 on MacBook Pro running Sequoia 15.0 First time installing LRmogrify2 which I hoped could add dynamic (date) watermark and the canvas option on exporting but, after installing with Plugin Manager, I get the following errors. Trying to follow steps in the thread [https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/lrmogrify2-and-catalina-os/td-p/10742403] but fails at step d. Hold down the Ctrl key, right-click "mogrify" "magick", and do Open. With a pop up saying "magick" Not Opened - Apple could not verify "magick" is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy. Any new fixes as Apple has hardened their anti-malware? Thanks!

Bonjour, je suis sous windows 11 et je n'arrive pas a reinstaller lightroom 6.L'installation se passe bien mais quand je decide d'ouvrir, une fenetre s'ouvre et des que je ferme cette fenetre lightroom se ferme aussi...Merci d'avance pour votre aide   

Hey, the last time I used my LrC was two days ago. Today, I has stopped launching. I can find it in the Task Manager however (and stop it there).I have tried the following: removing the catalog backup from one drive and putting it on my C: drive. Deleting the lock file. New install in the creative cloud.I can open the "Lightroom Catalog" from last year when I set up the PC, but all my catalogs and presets are gone. Neither the 13.3. file nor the backups open, then the programm goes back to opening in the background. I have several thousand pictures in there from commercial shootings, so I´m  really really anxious about loosing those.

Hello I am using LR Classic (Version 13.0.1) on a Mac Mini with M2 silicon and OS Sonoma 14.1 and all the keyboard shortcuts are grayed out and do not work I have seen in older threads that this can occurs when using Smart Previews but I am not using these. Is this a bug or a settings issue. If the latter how do I fix it? I am adding some screen shots of the examples Thanks

Hello, This week i wanted to upgrade my i5 setup to a m2 mac with more ram to ingrease the performance. But as always on major changes LRC is giving me a hard time and steals a lot of my short time, but iam so much used to the workflow, otherwise i would run away from this nightmare software. So my problem is that need to tether in my photoshootings. i Have Nikon D850 connected via usb-c cable. So when i wanted to start to tether LRC says i need to restart in Rosetta Mode, no proble, ok do it. but it only shuts down and never restarts LRCC in Rosetta mode.  When i do it manually it starts again in m2 mode.  i didnt find a way to start LRC always in Rosetta mode from the begining. The checkbox ind the Program Info is not there like some others softwares has. I mean i can start sart safari in rosetta mode, but not LRC!?!?! Anybody knows what to do?  Many ThanksMarcel

Buonasera, vorrei sapere se c'è un visualizzatore foto che permetta di visualizzare le immagini create in lightroom con la funzione "Unione hdr" e che hanno estensione HDR.dng. Oppure si possono visualizzare solo ed esclusivamente all'interno di lightroom? 

Online it says YES, LR classic can edit video.   But go to Detail Panel.   I look at videos and their image of Lightroom includes a list with "Detail" in it.   And it's taken me at least 15 min to find a "community" to post in.   I'm sure this is not the right one.

Hello, I have a speed issue in the library. I am culling the photos from my last trip. I have two folders: One for the RAW files from my 6D mark II and one for the files from my R6 mark II.  I have a SSD and a HDD. Windows, Lightroom, my catalog, are on the SSD. My photos are stored on the HDD. I first started to cull when the photos were on the HDD. Advancing to the next photo in full screen in the Library module was fast, instant, very smooth. I then thought of moving my working folder to the SSD to improve the speed even more, maybe. But no. Now, advancing to the next photo full screen in the Library module is slow. Around one second to switch to the next photo. It's lagging. Right arrow key, flag, right arrow key, flag... painfully slow. I then moved the photos back to the HDD, but now the issue persists. It's not going back to fast, it's remains slow, like on the SSD. Other folders I never moved from the HDD are still super fast. T

Hi! I pray I can get answers here - I lost years of photos. Yesterday I uploaded to my lightroom classic from my card. I worked on some photos yesterday and even saw them today. As I clicked on smart collections the photos I uploaded yesterday disappeared. Then the recent downloads only showed what I had previously and the 100 I had loaded yesterday were no longer to be found. Of course I never format my card but I did it and now the images are gone from my SD card and from my lightroom. PLEASE help!

Hi Looking for some help. I have created a brush in PS that is a logo and is shown with a transparent background when I add it to the image in PS. I have taken the  same file to use as a Watermark in LRc, hower the file now has no transparrent background it is a block with the image on top.  I have tried altering the opacity but it changes the whole watermark.Photo on the top from PS;  lower photo from LRc.  I want the logo in LRc  be the same as PS.Hope this makes sense Any help appreciatted its been driving me nuts. Many Thanks

I recently upgraded to a Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Ultra with 32GB of RAM, an i5-14600 processor, and an NVIDIA T1000 GPU. Despite the significant hardware upgrade, I am experiencing frequent crashes in Lightroom Classic, especially when using GPU-accelerated features like "Adaptive: Sky." Here are the details of my setup:GPU Driver Version: 31.0.15.5309 (latest available from NVIDIA)Lightroom Classic Version: 13.5.1 (latest version)Operating System: Windows 11 (fully updated)Lenovo Vantage: No pending system updates I have tried various settings for GPU acceleration, including turning it off, setting it to Auto, and configuring it manually, but the issue persists. I'm running LrC 13.5.1 on MacOS 15.0 (24A335). In the Library module, when I click into a metadata text input field like caption it becomes white (as expected), but no text is visible. If there was text in it before, it is now gone. If I type text, it is not visible while the input field is focused. Once I press ENTER, the field is no longer focused and switches back to light gray on black, and now the text is visible. Whether it is text I just entered, or if I modified nothing, the text from before, it is now properly shown (again, in the latter case). So nothing gets lost, and changes are properly processed, the field is just not showing anything while focused. I can't remember with what version update (of either MacOS or LrC) that bug started. Obviously it is good that the input fields basically function, but having to type blindly makes entering text a lot less user-friendly.   [moved from bugs to discussions according to the community rules - Mod.]

Hi, When i import my raw photos to Lightroom Classic, they look really dull comparing to the out of cam jpeg. I tried many things but i've never found anything satisfying.By default, i use adobe color as profil. I tried all other profils. The camera matching ones are really yellowish.Is there anything i can do ? I work with really colorfull photos so it's important for me.There is an example, a photo taken on jpeg + Raw with my camera.The first one is the jpeg Out of cam, the second is the raw with adobe color profil, and the last one is the raw with camera matching standard profil.Thank you for your help.

Good morningI have the new Iphone 16 pro, I have taken some test pictures. I manage to import the images to Lightroom classic, but when I want to view them the LRC closes unexpectedly. I have deactivated in preferences in the GPU of my IMAC. Any solution? Thanks

Hello, It is not often that I post an issue, but I am helping one of my students who has a technical problem with Lightroom Classic. She is running the most current version.  She is on a new DELL All-In-One computer.  It has the Nvidia Graphics card as well as Intel Graphics.  Lightoom is choosing the Nvidia GPU.Here is the test problem.  Any time she chooses in the Develop Module, BLUR Background, the program comes back with a dialog box that says Something Went Wrong.  Then, when I go to Preferences, Performance, it shows, the GPU disabled, and says there was an error in the Nvidia Driver.  We have re-installed Lightroom Classic, Created a new Catalog, and reset the configuration file.  We also have updated the Nvidia Driver from the Nvidia Website.  That did help the performance issues but still did not resolve the technical issues with LR.  There are other issues also in the develop module that result in LR Hanging. These issues did

For the first time, I want to print a number of different photos from my LRC library onto one page.So I went to the Print module, and struggled for a while.I chose the Custom Package option since the description seemed right.I then found that in the Print module we ONLY  have access to Collections.I dragged a photo onto the page, and resized and moved it to where I wanted it.Then I clicked on another collection, and the photo currently on the page vanished.I went around in circles for a few minutes, then let Google do the searching. And it appears that the Print module ONLY works with photos that are in the filmstrip.I literally facepalmed. So I wanted to check, before I make a futile complaint to Adobe.Is that true? We can't just drag photos into the Custom Package, arrange them, and then they stay there if we move to another collection?Based on the fact that we can't directly ACCESS the rest of our Library from the Print module I suspect that's right. Am I missing

Can I retrieve User Presets (Develop Presets) from a Mac TimeMachine backup? I haf ab ilder mac ans just biught a new one. Dli sid a cowan install amd hust need my presets. Please. Can anyone help. 

My workflow is to import images on my MacBook. Then I share the previews 2ith adobe cloud. I do alot of culling (flagging photos for deletion etc) I also edit social media worth posts on my phone. If I edit a photo, it will share with the edits etc as expected. However, if I move to a different picture and go back to the previous one I editted. The edits are gone and it's back to the original unedited version. It's like when open a picture on mobile it sends a reset edit option. The pictures show with the editted thumbnail in the photo reel, but as soon as you go back it clears. There are no versions to restore or anything. Is this a bug with the mobile app? Attached a screen grab with an obvious edit so it's easy to see what's happening. I have rebooted the phone and deleted the app, cleared cache etc and reinstalled.  I have logged out and back in. Not sure what else I could do other than to reset my entire sync library which I really don't wanna do because it's 30k picture

Question for all the SDK gurus.Is there any API to "copy to clipboard"?On Mac one can copy any "static tex" in the UI and paste it but that IS NOT available to Windows.For my plug-ins I have thought about allowing to double click on a static text to "copy to clipboard" .I wish we had PDF with all the existing API and so on...like that I could search them. .
