Lightroom Classic

I want to reduce the size of the navigator window so I can see more of the menus below it while working on my laptop. It's crazy that LR doesn't support this.

I wish that lightroom galleries had the ability to only show flagged(or only ones with a certain rating) photos on the public view.  This makes it easier to keep all my raw and unused files together in the same gallery but only show the ones I want to the clients.

At today it's possible to control the Luminance Range ONLY by using the sliders.   • We should be able to enter values for the Luminance Range just like we can enter values for other settings.Here I made a UI mock-up to illustrate   .

I suggest to implement two simple right click options for existing components.   Convert to Intersect Convert to Normal   First option would allow to convert an existing component directly into a Intersection. This would be simpler and faster than the steps we have to do now.   Second option would allow to return an existing intersected component to the normal, default "add" component. This as well is simpler and faster than what we have to do now to achieve the same.

A simple change to the policy of when Windows Lightroom Classic writes out its preferences file could avoid most “corruptions" of preferences that cause so much flaky behavior experienced by users.    The current policy is: The file gets written 30 seconds after the most recent assignment to a preferences key or 60 seconds after the first assignment to a key after the file was last written, whichever comes first. Please add 'Missing Photo' Status to Grid Filter Bar and Smart Collections. Catalogs are now getting larger, as Lightroom matures and catalogs naturally expand. Also, cameras with fast frame rates are becoming the norm.   Finding Missing Photos can be an extremely useful feature, but only results in a single potentially large collection. There is no feature currently within Lr to export a list of filenames/paths of missing photos. I have tried using various Plug-Ins... but the plug-ins I use do not provide reliable lists. Also plugins were extremely slow and took up to 36 hours to generate lists based on a 700k catalog.   Please make it possible to be able to filter images based on their 'Missing Photo Status' and also create smart collections using a 'Missing Photo Status'.    Background Example. I have assisted a photographer with a catalog of 700k images.. spread over 3 x 12TB images. One of the drives failed, with a loss of 330k images. Backups were incomplete.

Blurb just announced that it will no longer support the creation of ebooks. Lightroom is already Offering output to Blurb Photo Books, PDF, or JPEG - So it will be nice to have an ebook option output from the Book module.

Adobe, please perfect hair selection in LR Classic especially if we don't have to next take the image into PS. Horse's manes, tails, forelocks are not well-selected. PLEASE work on your algorithm to enhance this capability. Thanks you!!

Request for Change   In the select Sky Mask panel, add a Refine slider.   Hoping to adjust areas that mask should have not included such as say Granite Monoliths under a pale blue sky, where mask intrudes into the blue gray rock (as an example)   For an example of a situation, See: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/select-sky-accuracy/m-p/12484630#M247938  

LRC is not able to acces pictures from the PHOTO app on my MAC.  LRC does not recognize the Photo Library.photolibrary as a source for my pictures and therefore will not import them.  I am required to move them to another location (ie:desktop) to import the pictures.  I think that if LRC plug-ins recognizes the iPhoto library which hasnt been used by Apple for a while and doesnt recognize the Photo library, perhaps a new plug-in should be written. 

Olá, acredito que essa função seria muito útil para os usuarios, exibir se aquela imagem visualizada tem algum rotulo ou classificação nela, mas ficando entre a parte superior ou no meio da tela, já que na tela inferior por vezes são varias marcações o que causa uma confusão momentanea, já caso fique no canto superior direito ou esquerdo, eu não precisaria mover os olhos da parte central da tela, facilitando minha seleção. Torço que atendam e agradeço.

Please, add the "same as previous" preset when using a watch folder with auto import. Same as previous is really useful, but it seem available only with standard Tethering, and not when using the watch folder feature. Thx

On import I always use the 2nd copy feature.  With the high burst rates of new cameras, the 2nd copies folder gets real big real quick. Every so often I clean it out of old 2nd copies.  I also create 1:1 previews.  I love the feature that deletes 1:1 previews older than 30 days or whatever.  It makes life easier.  Couldn't we have a similar feature for 2nd copies to automatically clean them out after a set time?

I'm a wedding photographer and I usually end up with over a thousand pictures after my shootings.  I wish lightroom had an auto-export option for large sessions, I have a Sony 7R III and the file sizes are huge by the time I'm done editing all of my photos I have to wait for up to 30 - 40 minutes sometimes even more time to complete my all exports.    I propose an Auto-Export Sync check box under folders, Running in the background to export photos as they have been edited. also, a percentage bar showing how many photos have been completed, if I wish to re-edit a photo an override option to update the previous edit would be a plus.     The export options bar feels like is outdated, and it's annoying every time it pops to do an export, there is no file size presets for social media like Instagram, Facebook, Google map etc.    I feel like this feature can save us, photographers, a lot of time between exports.   Another big issue I run into is w

In the PRINT module in Lightroom, you can put metadata on the margin of the photo. Then you can physically print the photo with the metadata or save it to a PDF.   I'm looking to do the same except save it to JPEG. No luck so far. Any suggestions? Feature request to Adobe?   Tanya    

Sometimes I don't want to change the tint settings and just change the temperature when copy/paste settings from a photo to a photo. It would be awesome to leave one of them on "as shot" and only change the other one.

Hi, with the advent of M1-Chip in iPads, Adobe must consider introducing LrC for iPads along with Macbooks. It is far more versatile and effective than Lightroom CC for those, who are already familiar with professional grade image processing. LrC gives also complete control over file management. With the latest iPads one can process images directly form an external SSD without the need to transfer the images to the iPad. Photoshop functions in iPads offline. Therefore, if LrC comes to iPads I can process images in LrC and finish them in Photoshop on my iPad. Furthermore, the Apple pencil assists in finer selections and touches, when and where required.   I wonder, why Adobe has not yet brought in LrC for iPads. Adobe, gimme hope!

When entering invalid export image settings, no usefull error message is produced: 1. Settings (note the resolution which is not within the acceptable range): 2. Error message: This is extremely unfortunate, as i had unintentionally changed this setting and spent hours with the support team trying to find the issue. I think it would be very easy for the dev. team to implement an error message if invalid settings are set. We were on a wild goose chase, resetting lightroom, creating new profiles, using a different windows account, until the idea struck us that maybe it was just wrong settings all allong...    Easy fix that could save the Adobe Team huge amounts of time troubleshooting such issues!

The "auto advance" feature works in the develop module so it should appear in the "Photo" menu there as well.  It is annoying to have to go back to "Library" to disable/enable it.  I know there are keyboard shortcut but my brain does not have enough free space to remember them all.  

Whenever I use the B keyboard shortcut to add or remove a photo to my quick collection, I see the pop-up status message "Add to Quick Collection" or "Remove from Quick Collection." Since the pop-up reflects what I just *did* it should say "Added..." or "Removed..." The wording seems designed for a tooltip telling me what's going to happen, but that's not what's going on.  

Despite the 7 great mask-creation tools in Lightroom (I used iPad version), yesterday I needed to create a mask that they couldn't handle, so I had to send the photo to Photoshop, where the Magic Wand created my mask with ease. I've attached the photo in question so you can try for yourself. I wanted to mask everything except the sausage and bun.   This situation does not occur frequently for me, but often enough that I'm making this request. I have over 472K files in LRC (11.3.1) about 400K were not the current process version (less than 5). It took over a week of my time to upgrade the process versions.  The issue was that LR would be going along andhit a file that had something wrong with it from LR's perspective and quit the process version upgrade.  And all the ones that it had converted on the upgrade run stayed at their original process version. Additionally LRC did not indicate which was the bad file.  This require scrolling through in grid view thousands of photos slowly becase grid view had to open the file to discover that they were bad.  All in all a very cumbersome annoying process. Desired behavior would be like Synchronize, where it continues on when there is an error, and gives a report at the end of the files that it could not convert to the current process.    Windows 11, 24cores, 128GB mem,  Catalog on SSD LRC 11.3.1

I've recently moved from a 2018 i7 Mac Mini to and Mac Studio Ultra - suffice to say I've had a bit of a smile seeing how much faster some of the optimisation has made things.   One area that doesn't appear to be optimised is exporting catalogs (specifically, exporting folders as catalogs with smart previews).   This is an area where the Mac Mini was bouncing off the limiter - sounding like it was ready to take off, and you could cook an egg on it, CPU and RAM utilisation was that high.   With the Mac Studio, the export is still painfully slow, and on the last check, CPU utilisation was 8%, and RAM utilisation was circa 20% of what was available (suggesting there is lots of available resource LR isn't optimised to use).   For those of us who use this in their workflow, I'd guarantee it'd be the biggest needle shifter in workflow time compared to any other optimisation.
