why?adobe flash appears when i try to watch anything on cbs.com

I have a recording application (as3 client) that connects to my AMS instance using port 1935 by default. According to the Adobe documentation (Adobe Media Server 5.0.7 * Configure ports), if the client can't connect to the server using port 1935 then the client by itself uses port 80(rtmp and then rtmpt) to make a connection to the server.Now, if I block port 1935 on my Ubuntu machine then the request from port 1935 fails . But what's strange is that now my client can't connect using port 80 by the default mechanism that Adobe documents claims is in place. So, I have put in place my fallback mechanism in my recording AS3 client. Whenever, I get a "Netconnection.Connection.Failed" event I change the connecting url to switch over to "rtmpt" using port 80.This fallback mechanism works perfectly. But the default fallback is taking too much of time which is leading to a bad user-experience.My question is that whether we have to make some changes at the server or client end to make the defa

hi all,i had a problem with my flash builder 4.6 application that;when i leave the application ABOUT 2 minutes idle, then trying to call the netconnection for example to get the chat history or send a message or invoke a function at the serverside, it suddenly says netconnection.connect.closed after trying to call the netconnection.. while these happening, i am watching fms admin console but the client doesnt drop and seems still connected.. even i close the browser, the client is still there in the fms admin console..(normally if i use nc.close() method the client drops immediatley in the fms admin console or when i close the browser the client drops..)then still watching and after ABOUT 10 minutes, i see the client drops in the fms admin console finally but after 10 minutes..i tried the same app in the "localhost", it works fine.. net connection never closes.. i waited so long time idle and then called the netconnection.. it worked very well.. but when i try to run my app on the serv

My mac has operating system OS X Yosemite 10.10.1. Every time I try to open the file download it opens as a text document in TextEdit. I have tried to "open with" other applications but I keep getting error messages. Which application should I be using?

Anyone know how I can convert a .f4f file back a regular file such as a .mp4.  On my Adobe Server I have a live DVR functionaility setup, and in the applications\livepkgr\streams\_definst_\ path I have .f4f files that's been cached that I would like to convert back a .mp4 for archival purposes.

Problem here is,Figure 1 :Core FMS server    < -------  Edge server 1     < -------- Edge server 2Figure 2:Core FMS server  <-------  Edge server 1Core FMS server < ------- Edge server 2I need the setup should be work only as Figure 2. But , Figure 1 setup also working. I mean, Edge server1 configured as edge fms for Core fms. and Edge server2 configured as edge server for Edge server2. How is this possible ?. Somewhere I need to enable the block list.Please someone help on this.

Hi,Is it somehow possible to have more than 25 concurrent SIP connections using Adobe media gateway?Why is this limit so small, with only 25 concurrent connection a solution can never scale.(25 is still far high compared to only 5 connections in Professional license of Adobe media server)Thanks,Sahil.

To configure the AMS we followed the steps provided by the following documentation:http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonCloudFront/latest/DeveloperGuide/LiveStreamingAdobeMediaServer5.0.htmlUnfortunately the resulting installation did not fully work, since we are able to upstream the data to the server, but we are not able to get the downstream.We repeated the process and the result was always the same: no errors on logging, but the outputs of CloudFormation show an URL for the LiveHLSManifest that returns a 404 Not Found error.We need to configure JWPlayer on our websites to present live streamings, and this URL seems to be absolutely necessary for us to do that.

Hello everybody,im using Flash Media (trial developer) and i want to know how i can set my server to Public. I have a streaming site like Justin.tv and Ustream and dont wanna buy expensive hosting. i want to make my own host. i searched google hours and hours but i dont find a Tutorial to do this. I have created a server which is using my localhost (127.0.0.1) The Server is up and running but how can i make it that i can use my own server for my site. So people can stream over my server ?? i try the rtmp://myip/live but it didnt work. I hope someone can help me.Thanks and sorry for my language im german 😉

I want to broadcast my whiteboard(created using flash) activity to others using flash/adobe media server so that they can stream it on flash player. How to achieve this ?

Hi,It looks like on AMS it's not possible to make an HTTPS request at all. I tried with XML class and LoadVars class. It looks like AMS is not even trying to make any connection when the URL has HTTPS:// on it. The online references I was able to find indicate that it's not supported in AMS. If I am not wrong, Does Adobe have any plan to support this in future? Thanks-Irtiza

I am using FMS 4.5.When I open my page, sometimes the crossdomain.xml is downloaded automatically, but sometimes the GET to crossdomain.xml become pending and take something around 5 minutes to finish the request.The flash player are on another server, and call a HTTP requestMy problem is similar with that one  Crossdomain.xml request unanswered by FMS 3.5 Application

We are having issues recently on two of our servers. They both run with AMS 5.0.6 on a powerful Windows Server 2008 R2 with 40 GB of RAM and a lot of disk space. We split the overall charge of the servers by opening different instances on both servers. I've been looking into using S3FS - s3fs-fuse/s3fs-fuse · GitHub - to mount an S3 bucket containing source MP4s for JITed requests to hds-vod and hls-vod. Currently the issue seems to be a significant performance hit when generating the f4m or m3u8 manifest. I was wondering:1. Is Adobe Media Server 5 Standard capable/compatible with streaming Haivision Kulabyte encoded streams to more than 10 connections? We installed it at Haivision's recommendation. After it working on an initial stream, it stopped working altogether after a reboot. Haivision reported that Adobe said it wouldn't work and that AMS 5 Pro would be necessary. Is this indeed the case? I would like to hear it from the original source that this is or is not true.

I am using the AWS version of the flash media server and attempting to stream content however, I am getting stuck. Following the instructions at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flashmediaserver/amazonec2/WS6fc2df2b6d2ce24359910e2812c396a83eb-7ff8.2.html, it says "4. Hi Guys,I have recently installed the trial version of AMS 5.0.6 on a Windows 2008 R2 64-bit. I cannot log in at all. I tired the username and Password I had given at the time if installation and also tired the usernames once I made the changes to the Users.xml.It keeps telling me that the login attempt failed and to verify the log in details.I am trying to log into admin console from the server I have installed the AMS on. I have tried all combinations of usernames and passwords and server IP addresses including localhost. I'm trying to implement VoIP feature (connect to a SIP server/service) for our Media Server app. Unfortunately, I just realize Adobe remove AMG from AMS package replacement. I"m wondering if there is any good solution provides the similar feature of AMG? Thanks.

Hello,For a couple of months now, we are using AMS 5.0.3 to broadcast live camera feeds.Yesterday we noticed an odd behavior: the subscribers of two different live streams (A and B) were getting similar images (A)!I am wondering if somebody has already seen/heard about this situation and it's solution ?It might also come from our server/client side scripts, but we can't figure it out!Any comment or help would be appreciated,Thanks
