Did you activate the Master Suite and Acrobat. It used to be that Acrobat activation was an extra step. In any case, when you open Acrobat does it show that it is registered. To check, log into your Adobe account and check the active software. If you bought the full product with a license key, it still has to be activated and should be listed in your account.

It would help if you could post the original and the download so we can access them through a share. Then list the exact steps you use in the combining. If we can repeat the process, then it is easier to recommend a solution.

You can change the default that you use in Acrobat (the setting of the document will override the default). The change is found under Edit>Preferences>Page Display (check the zoom setting).

When installing the product (not an upgrade), this window is found. There is no choice to ignore the previous installation (AA 9). I got around the problem by using the install file from a previous FULL download and when starting that installations I get the following screen that allowed me to ignore the AA9 and proceed with the installation. So I was successful, but pity those who do not have the extra file that I had. I then proceeded to do the updates to this older version and AA 9 is still there. I realize it will not work correctly, but in the future I will be deactivating the AA DC and AA 9 will need to be repaired and kept running.

You may have to to a repair. I think that repairing Acrobat will take care of Distiller also.

Since your AA 9 is an upgrade, you will need the license number for both the AA 9 and the AA 8 from which it was upgraded. The upgrade requires certification of the previous product in this way. The download version may not work since it is not an upgrade version.

You would have to get the key from CDW based on the sale. If you got a CD from them, it should be with the CD, typically on the jacket for the CD. Nothing will show on your Adobe ID until the software is registered with the key or other registration. Which version of Acrobat did you purchase?

AA 9 is automatically uninstalled with CS6 as I recall. There may be an option to not do the uninstall, but most folks rush through the install process and don't read such details and that may have happened to you. In any case, you will probably have to reinstall AA 9.

This sounds more like a question for the FM forum. I believe you use Export in FM and the Export is a FM feature, not Acrobat.

You may also be able to set the font properties of the settings (see the settings tab in the printer properties and edit the settings) to ignore font errors. In that case, the Courier would be used. In your case, Distiller stopped the process.

Did you upgrade WORD since it worked? If so, that is likely the problem (and you will either have to print to the Adobe PDF printer or use the WORD built-in converter). If you have not upgraded software, then open Acrobat and go to Help>Repair. That will hopefully fix the problem.

Don't worry about the application manager, just download AA X (http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html) and install it directly.

Try running http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html and remove all leftover part of the Acrobat folder under Program Files>Adobe. Then reboot and try again. Be sure you have your S/N available.

I assume the S/N was removed (never post them in a public forum). Anyway, I assume you are installing the perpetual license version (full paid version). Where did the S/N come from? Currently, most folks are getting a number that must be submitted to obtain the S/N. The number is not the S/N, but a code to retrieve the S/N. It is also possible that the installation was for an upgrade. In that case, the S/N being requested may have been for the prior version that you are upgrading from. For the upgrade you will be asked for the S/N on the prior and new versions.

Most of that software runs through the print option. That should still work with Acrobat DC. It is just PDF Maker that requires additional work. Most vendors do not pursue to working with preview versions to a large extent because the final release is often much different. If this is an excuse, maybe. But you should consider the wasted effort that has gone on in the past working with previews (betas) and then the final release requires a whole new design.

You may also have to be sure you are logged in as the administrator and have anti-virus disabled. In one case (one Win 7), I actually had to activate the Administrator account due to a permissions issue. I could probably have changed the permissions on the associated folder, but activated the Administrator account instead.

Did you use the download of AA 7 from that page too? In any case, do not expect much out of AA 7 on Win 10 even if you succeed with the install. For Win 7 it required a workaround to function. Of course, the test is if Acrobat and Distiller will open themselves after the install. If so, then there is hope the workaround will do the job. You would also want to do the updates that you can get from ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/ and install the updates in order. For Windows, specifically go to ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/7x/.

Just minimizing the RHP closing Acrobat and reopening does the job in the current version as mentioned.

The drawing tool is not that easy to use and Adobe has not addressed it. When you try to write for instance, it will often change to a selection of what you have been drawing rather than allow you to dot an "i" or cross a "t". If you find this to be a problem, the alternative for many educators is PDF Annotator. I don't like listing another product here, but it is an issue that Adobe will not address. There you can write and draw to your level of desire without this selection issue coming up. However, it can't do much more. If you are looking at purchasing Acrobat for educational needs, be sure to check out the pricing for educational use (Products). It sounds like you may have been looking at Reader and not the full Acrobat. In Acrobat, the drawing tools are under the Comments.

Do you have Acrobat installed? The printer is part of Acrobat and Acrobat is required to install the printer.

I seem to no longer get the error after the update, but that may be temporary. If you just retry the printer or PDF Maker after the error, the operation seems to work fine. The bug has been reported in the past, but it would not hurt to report it again.

You should have made a volume purchase with Adobe, that is the simplest way. If you already purchased 20 copies, you might contact Adobe about changing them to a volume license set that you control. If you continue with 20 copies, you will have to create 20 separate Adobe IDs. Unfortunately, the IDs are e-mail addresses, so you will need 20 aliases for your e-mail account if you want to maintain the control. I am not totally sure of the difference of the S/N and subscription versions in terms of registration, but both would need different IDs for registration.

Not sure of all your issues, the RHP and LHP can be closed (or minimized) using the little arrow at the center of the border of the pane. That allows you to get a full width view for a document. I am not sure what the extra window refers to. It appears that other users have replied on the speed issue and the results sound reasonable, though I have not tried it.

This forum is for users to help users, not to give feedback to Adobe. Most of us are just users and if you have an issue you need to submit either a bug report or a new feature request. DC indeed takes time to get used to. Many do not like the interface, but Adobe is going their way. As far as features, most are still there but in many cases are in different places and with different names. An example would be OCR that is difficult to find. Adobe added a tool search that is a big help in such things. If you enter OCR in the help it comes up with places the tool is located with the new name Text Recognition. The latter might be to help the non-pros who don't know what OCR is, but it words. Complain if you like, and you may get plenty of company here. However, don't expect Adobe to be listening here, and even if they were they probably will not change much, sorry.

I will only address the pages issue. If you want to order the pages and not use the Pages tool, the open the LH Pane and select the pages display there (as in the past) and order the pages using that display the same was as in the past. Also not that in the Pages tool you complained about, there is a zoom button on the lower right to adjust the page sizes. You will likely find a lot of the other features are still there, but organized differently. It takes some time to adjust to DC and that might be you biggest issue. As will all changes there will be pros and cons. There are things in DC I do not like either, but I deal with it.

To clarify a bit, the two installs are for the purpose of use by one individual, not to provide Acrobat to two folks. This is covered in the license (generally found in the Acrobat folder) or at Adobe under EULA.

I only have one comment. The white space was apparently introduced for slate users. The excess white space is a lot less than originally used in the betas. Many of us complained about the extra white space and what is currently in DC is a substantial improvement to the original. For instance the original tools screen took 3 or 4 pages, depending on your screen. It is down to about 1.5 screens. If you would like to see future changes, the best way is to submit a request on the Feature Requests sub-forum. These other sub-forums do not help in getting the requested changes to Adobe, but do provide an outlet for folks to vent.

Try taking some screen shots of your issue and posting them with the camera tool in this forum editor. Maybe we can see a bit better what you are talking about. Did you use the Searchable or the Edit versions of the OCR (Text Recognition)? It it was searchable, the view will be the same as before you did the OCR. The characters are inserted on a layer behind the graphic to allow the search.
