To Clarify - Running LR v8.4 - I had backup turned on but turned it off to see if that was the issue. I have a separate disk with all my photos . That's where the catalog is kept. The backups go there too, it would be nice if you could change that, but I don't see a way to do that

I am getting an error that says "This appears to be a dupicate or automatic backup of your catalog. It may not be current, sync has been disabled."
I have tried restarting several times and turned off the backup of the catalog. Any ideas? {Thread renamed by moderator}

I sent several comps to ME to render and received the following error: Export Error Error compiling movie. Render Error Render returned error. Is it possible to change multiple inputs on the mixer at one time? It would be nice to select 18 (or 32) tacks and change them to the 18 (or 32) inputs without having to do it individually. I know I can set up a template, but . . .

Yes - I finally got the app to recognize the video. Shut down, re-start, new project. However, when I select a VFR clip, I do not get the Master Clip Options. PP sees that it is a VFR. For 2 out of 3 it appears to be keeping audio in sync - the 3rd isn't holding sync though.

The release notes say that VFR video is supported, but when I try to import those files or open previous projects, the video is just ignored - the file shows only audio available. Am I doing something wrong? Video is from an apple phone, just downloaded the latest version of PP. Win 7

That was the case. I'm not sure how it got changed as I do video conforming almost exclusively. Somehow it was at 12 fps.

I have been editing a series of files and need to insert 2 seconds of silence at the end of each file. For awhile when I opened the silence dialog, it defaulted to 2 seconds. I have been editing some other work and now when I open the dialog it defaults to 1:23. Any idea where that comes from? I have tried various things but the 1:23 persist. It would be really nice to get it back to 2 so I didn't need to change it every time.

It was a HUGE difference. I tracked it down - it was the fact that I was using a different driver. My interface has an ASIO and an MME driver. Premiere was set for one while Audition was set for the other. Changed them both to ASIO and they match MUCH better!

I'm trying to create a wipe in AE to use in Premiere. I created 2 shapes which move thru the frame. I created a solid to act as the alpha channel, but I can't remember how to have that layer effect only the alpha and not show in the composite. Here is the desired RGB out: Here is the object I'm trying to create the alpha with showing white: I know I can output 2 separate videos, but I am sure I've done this before and combined them - i think.

Here is what i'm going for - first column is the audio for the presentation, the second is what you'll see during the audio, the third is for the time of that scene. I would actually like an additional smaller column at the left that would have scene numbers. All the text across the columns needs to track and stay together if other scenes or text are inserted.

I hope I'm missing something. Since Adobe has decided to kill Story, I'm looking to find a way to create scripts with Indesign. I order to do that I need to create a frame with un-even column widths. I have created the correct columns on the page, however, I do not see a way to create them in a frame. When I unlock the guides and try to move the column guides, the entire frame moves. I hope I'm missing something. I guess I could set up a number of paragraph styles, but it would be easier to do in Excel if I have to do that. The orange guides are the frame guides and the purple are the underlying frame guides that are in the correct place.

Something odd happening with a recent project. When I tried to re-load the project, I got a warning that it was corrupt, some parts were ignored and I should re-name it. I shut down AE and re-opened the project and everything was fine. I did some more work and then went on to another project. When I tried to return to the first I got the same error. If I start AE fresh and open the project everything is OK, if I open it as a second or third project it throws the error. Win 7 AE version 14.2.1.34

I'm trying to export an XML, but as soon as i click the menu item PP locks up. I deleted the cache files and my prefs - still no go. Nothing complicated about the timeline - a few AE comps rendered and replaced and some video files. I get the "Simplifying Project" window and then PP locks up. Same behavior with AAF export.

The indicator in the lower right that shows which files are being cached has stalled on an audio file. I tried deleting the unused files. It keeps crashing when I try to export an XML. It has never done that before so I am assuming it may have to do with the stalled file. Should I just delete everything i the cache and re-start?

I would try creating a circle wipe with a white border between 2 black clips on a sequence. Then you can nest that sequence in a sequence with your graphics. Just use multiple copies offset and change the blending modes so they all show.

From this shot it looks like you are getting exactly the result you want - the yellow layer is inside the heart and the red is outside. Is that not what you are looking for?

A screen shot of your timeline may be helpful. Do you have sufficient overlap of the footage? Does your PSD have an alpha channel? You may also need to have the zoom in a separate timeline or AE comp - not sure about that - the order of processing the move may keep you from using the file as the transition. You may have to put the move in a separate timeline and use that timeline as the matte layer

I'm not sitting in from of the program but here are 2 things to try. 1 - You should be able to make a sub clip on the timeline. Set your in and out points and right click on the clip. You should see "Make a subclip" as an option. 2 - as far as the "entire clip" issue - that is a feature, not a bug. It was instituted to allow you to alter in and out points if you forgot to leave room for transitions, etc. If you want to restrict the clip you can. On the dialog box that opens for making the subclip you can select or deselect a check box to limit the clip to the I&O or keep all the clip available. Hope that helps

I have a project making some edits in a single video file. If I try to render from ME I get the red "media offline" slide, but audio renders OK. If I render from within Premiere the video renders correctly. I have tried running with "Import sequences natively" checked and unchecked - no difference. Any ideas?

I have been having problems uploading a file. The file contains 2 videos, both created in Premiere and rendered through AME. I used the YouTube preset and reduced the data rate by more than half. I get this error whenever I try to upload. I removed the videos and uploaded without them, which worked. Here is the file: https://indd.adobe.com/view/dae00026-5b88-4764-ac1b-bed366e03bfe Here is the file with the videos: Fishwrap_03 copy.indd - Google Drive Following other posts here I reduced video file size and changed file names to be only letters and numbers - no special characters. Also tried to sign out and back in to CC. I just tried again to publish, and the upload is stuck at zero (About 20 minutes now). I don't want to cancel, but I'm not sure what options I have. Any help will be appreciated.
