I think it's clear from all the other post @BillScurry that this is something Adobe will be fixing.  There's another option that seems to work, drag from the project to the Program monitor and drop the clip on the monitor (say very top option) and it will autosize. Hi @Stan Jones , thanks for another correction, seems like that's becoming a regular feature here. Anyway, I checked it again, and indeed still get the error in the shipping software 25.6.2 b1. And as I mentioned, it's been there for a long time in the beta.   Others seem to see it also, but not you?   I simply go to this folder: %UserProfile%\Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro (paste the folder above as is, it will go to the right place)   and then rename the 25.0 folder to something else, and when I start PP, the default settings are re-created by PP, go in and change the pref under Media, and (fit to frame) doesn't work as I noted. You can always delete the new 25.0 folder and rename the old one back to restore your prefs. I hope I didn't get that wrong also, will wait to see...     ... View more

Set: Preferences/Media/Default Media Scaling = Fit to Frame With a HD timeline and dropping in a UHD clip, it is expected to automatically Fit to Frame setting the scale to 50%   What happens is the scale remains at 100%, manual Fit to Frame does work. My guess is once the shipping version goes to 26.x and it included the new masking features. You can probably start using that shipping version. Like Stan and a few others I'm aware of, I just use the beta always. But I don't have deadlines, etc, and I can move around to different projects, etc. ... View more

But the stuttering is different, I didn't see you mention your hardware/os/PP version, etc. Plus is type of footage and is it variable frame rate? Indeed the problems look like this: <>-37.3029289246</> The number may vary, but that's causing the problem. I finally got 25.6.1 today, and the two fixed projects I did for others both will not open in that version, but I also got Beta build 26.0 build 36 and that continues to work, as did the previous beta. ... @mnzsaudiovisual  Not to leave you out - OK, I have good and OK news    The good news is I fixed your project, but I can't open it in 25.5 (like @Stan Jones , I don't have 25.6.1 yet).  But I can get it open in PP Beta 26.0 build 31.
