Photoshop Elements

i want to save a selection as jpg file at my chosen location

I open a file on-screen and select part of it using the lasso tool or magic wand.I do CTRL+C to save the selection to the clipboard then do "File - New - Image from clipboard" and my selection should appear as a standalone image.Up till now that has always worked but a couple of weeks ago (without me changing any settings or preferences) the clipboard image started dropping itself on top of my original image, rather than as a standalone image.If I do "Save" only the new clipboard image gets saved, not the "composite" picture, so at least I can save the selection. But it's annoying if I just want the  clipboard image on screen for editing. After poking around I discovered that if I go to "Layout" on the bottom toolbar and select "Default" the clipboard image appears on screen as a stand-along image, as it should have done in the first place. Unfortunately that "default" setting isn't retained. So every "New image from clipboard" appears as an overlay and I have to do "Layout - Defa

I'm wondering if anyone has been able to use the Backup Catalog feature in Elements 2022 or 2023. I have 2019 but I get an error. The solution based on other posts is to remove the videos and add them back, but I have about 500 videos, so this isn't a great option (https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-elements-discussions/pourquoi-la-sauvegarde-du-catalogue-de-pse-2019-est-impossible/td-p/10589028)If a newer version of Elements works without removing the videos I'll upgrade.Thanks,Eric

Hallo, ich musste Photoshop Elements neu installieren. Nun fehlen viele Werkzeuge in der Werkzeugleiste. Im Internet finde ich nur Anleitungen, man soll auf Bearbeiten und auf die Symbolleiste gehen. Die gibt es aber nicht bei mir. Viele Funktionen gehen seit der Neuinstallation  gar nicht mehr. Was mache ich nun?Danke für Tipps.

Hello:All of my Adobe programs are on my laptop running Windows10.  My main concern is with Photoshop Elements and the plug-ins associated with it.  I have a new laptop running Windows11.What is the best (read "easiest") way to transfer the programs and associated files from the old laptop to the new laptop?I researched third part software that's supposed to facilitate the transfer of files and programs; but, they all have shortcomings that I really don't want to deal with.Thanks for your help.

Just purchased photoshop elements but struggling to link my lightroom mobile to it . I have an annual subscription to lightroom mobile with iCloud storage etc . My lightroom just comes up with "can't find photoshop" when trying to process a photo . Thanks in advance .

I’ve been using Photoshop for years to keep and organize my photos.  I recently moved from one laptop to another.  I backed up on the old system and restored on the new.  All the photos were in folders based on dates.  I had tags and names as well. When all restored, I found I lost many photos.  The photos remaining are on the C drive of the laptop.  Photoshop has all the thumbnails.  Some with photos, some “missing,” and some on a DVD or other device.I always thought Photoshop actually imported the photos.  Apparently, it sometimes leaves them on the USB drive, DVD, or even phone.  I went back to every old device, DVD, and backup to find as many as I could.  They are now all stored on an external hard drive. I now want to redirect Photoshop Organizer to the external hard drive.  But I want all the date based folders, tags, and names.  If successful I will delete all the photos on the C drive. Any suggestions?

I am a Mac user, before I uptate my Mac to the Monterey OS I want to know if the new 2023  version will work with it.  My 2020 or 2022 will not from what I read.  Thanks

Hello, I have a question, there's a way to merge layers (CTRL + E) without change the image?I need to put all layers in one and flat the image, leaving only the background and the very fist photo not merged.I placed in the background a photo and with other layers I did some modification (adding lights and smudge the image)  in separated layers, one for example for hair , one for other details etc..)After I finish adding lights and things I wanted to add over the original photo, I wanted to unite all the layers : I selected all 3 layers and merge them with CTRL +EBut, it come out always in this way:  I would like the merge all layers, there's a way to have one single image, without this effect?Thanks in advance for the help!  

J'utilise Adobe photoshop elements 2023 mais il n'accepte pas le traitement des raw CR de Canon EOSR6. J'ai téléchargé plusieurs fois le camera raw à partir de la fonction aide mais cela ne fonctionne pas plus. Any solutions ? 

Using Adobe PSE 2023 on Windows 11 and trying to print an image to PDF (either Adobe PDFor Microsoft PDF), I get the following advisory....."Unable to print. Either printer not found or could not communicate with the printer......"   The images print correctly to my Canon printer, just not to PDF.  Selecting "Share a PDF Slide Show" does work fine.  Just can not Print and save a PDF file.  Request advice please.....Thanks.....Ron

Hello, I would like to request some features, I wonder if Adobe team can listen to us?I was wondering if there will be the  possibility in future to optimize the interface of Adobe Elements also for a graphic tablet (drawing tablets?)  (I mean, no 'wacom', I mean tablets in the sense of , like the samsung tab s7 FE for example. This sort of tablets)I need to use the brush to painting over an image and I need to pick up every 3 seconds the colors. With the brush I can pick up the color by hold ALT and when I release ALT , it became again a brush. This is very useful when one painting and to do this with a mouse is pretty simple. But when I want to use my drawing tablet to be used, instead of the mouse, I use the pen of the tablet, there's no option in the Adobe Elements to customize the button of the pen, and assign a specific commant/key, like in this case "ALT".So I have to keeping to move the pen on the eyedropper tool , pick up color, then again and select again with the p

IT Manager and have installed and used Adobe products for years . One of them being Photoshop Elements 8, then 14 and now looking for the latest as these computers are offlline and have to be. Once used to activate offline but I no longer see that option to generate a request code to do so. Also, being offline, you cannot have it try to ping every X amount of days to valifate a license. ( As I was told this would be the case if we were able to get a version activated) Opened up a support call, and after 3 call backs lasting and repeating information for 2+ hours in total, they apologized and said this is not possible. We had to goto a competitor dor 6+ licenses as they still have the option and it can do what we need. There are many gov subsontractors with secured areas that do not necessarilly have internet.   Unnecessary and frustrating attempts with support over what was thought to be a basic option for procust use.   

Does photoshop elements 2020 work with Ventura 13.4.1.?

I bought PE 2023 but my mac is 10.15.7 Catalina, so I need PE 2022, how shall i do ?

I have a very simple jpg file that was greyscale.   I've saved it in RGB color mode and then tried to use the color replacement tool to whiten up the current grey background but without success. I've found the tool and set it to Discontiguous, Mode is Color.  I've set the forground color to white (which is what I want) and set the background color using the eyedropper for the current grey and I got the "+" within the circle but dragging it around the image seems to do nothing.   I swiched the white/grey and tried again but still nothing.   What have I missed???    Thanks for any advice.  

I bought PSE 2022 last year (2021) in November and want to move my iMac now to Ventura (Mac OS13).However no idea whether my PSE 2022 application will still work with Ventura (and I don't want toinvest 82 Euro right now to update SW that's only one year old).Anyone with experience with PSE 2022 and Mac OS Ventura?

Hi I'm trying out the new elements 2023 on a new laptop, which runs on windows 11 and above all the specs required to run the programme.  My old elements isn't compatible with windows If I go from expert mode, to say guided mode, the window appears extremely small in the top left corner(see pic).In expert mode, once I cropped, I tried to open up one of the nik collection 6 filter color fex.  Again it opened in new window and does exactly the same thing.  Uninstalled it all.  Reinstalled elements and still does the same.  Any help would be appreciated.  As i'm used to using elements and nik collection on my old laptop.

I use Photoshop Elements (v20.0) for organising on a 2015 iMac, and have 97106 files (on an external HDD). All are tagged/keyworded and rated. I much prefer the Elements Organiser to Bridge, or Lightroom or, or.... It displays well, defaults to a timeline rather than folder heirarchy, and I'm used to it.For editing I use Photoshop 2023.I will need to switch to a more modern mac (maybe a mini) later this year as I am seeing problems with compatibility (e.g. neural filters crashes on the most recent version of Photoshop, despite all the suggestions)with Big Sur (the latest macOS the computer can take) and also that Apple will stop supporting the chip. It's just time to change.How can I transfer the catalog to a new mac and maintain all the groups/keywords/tags and ratings. In the past when I needed to do a simlar transfer, all the tags went into "imported keyword tags" which was a pain in the....neck, because when I added new tags I ended up with a mixed listing. Ich habe bisher Photoshop Elements 2015 genutzt und war sehr zufrieden damit.Mit neuem Rechner habe ich nun das Update von Photoshop Elements 2023 erworben und installiert und zudem das Camera RAW 14.4 heruntergeladen. Ich habe eine Canon EOS 70D. Der Rechner läuft mit Windows 11.       Ich nutze den Expert Modus.. Ich habe nun bei der RAW Bild Entwicklung folgendes Problem: Die Warnanzeigen für Tiefenbeschneidung als auch für die Lichterbeschneidung aktualisieren sich nicht sofort, wenn ich jegliche Einstellungen mit den Reglern darunter mache. Sie werden nur aktualisiert, wenn ich in irgendeine andere Anwendung wechsle und dann wieder zurück nach Photoshop gehe.  Gibt es da irgendeine Einstellmöglichkeit, dass diese beiden Anzeige sich sofort aktualisieren oder ist da ein Bug enthalten? Arbeiten kann ich so nicht! Ist es möglich die Farben des Histogrammes Farbintensiver darzustellen, analog Elements Version 2015? (Dies ist

I have an older version of Element 9 (CD with serial number OK). Today I try to install it on my new Lenovo. This Lenovo has 64 bits IOS. Installation of Elements 9 does not suceed. I cannot see why? Can Elements 9 only drive when windows 32 ? Does anybody know? What about a quick fix or a simple sollution?
