Photoshop Elements

[Moderator moved from Photoshop to PS Elements.]   I still have my CD for Photoshop 2! I'm a very longtime user. My current machine is a Dell XPS 8945, purchased 6 months ago. I installed Photoshop Elements 2020, and it tells me the version is 18.0.   I'm having all kinds of problems. Initially, it was refusing to open files. I learned that if I clicked on the lasso tool, it would allow me to open a file. But now the crop tool won't allow adjustments. When I try to save the edited file, it says that it saves it, but it's not there. Only the original, unedited file is there.    Help?   

As a long time user of Adobe Photoshop Elemenst (last version was Elements 15) I purchased a license for Elementss 2020. To shorten the wait, I installed (or tried to) the software on my Imac and my MacBook Pro IMac (2017, 16 GB Ram 1 TB SSD) I can install Eleents, but organizier consistently crashes upon start. Someimes it asks me to chose a differend catalogue. Then it crashes and I receive an Apple Error Log MacBook Pro (2015, 8 GB Ram, 250 GB SSD, 50% free) I am not able to install the software. Tried it with the installer and downloaded the full package.Every time I trie to install, I key in my Adobe login. Then error message "Error 1, unspezified Error" What to do? Besides returning the software.Very disappointing. Never had any issues before. 

My old desktop is o the brink to collapse. I'am trying to transfer my PE 8 Editor to a laptop, but I receveive the answer  'error PE 147:20'I don't have my keycode anymore.Although I have also Photoshop Elements 2021, I still want to use my PE 8 as I am using it still frequently. What is the best way to transfer the program to my laptop?

Absolutely ridiculous. Had a very old photoshop elements version on previous job computer, and decided to get the latest one on the new computer. The clone stamp is almost unusable on a very capable computer. Even working with huge images on a mediocre computer in the 90ies weren't this slow. Come on Adobe, what is going on ?!?

I was prompted to upgrade Photoshop Elements 2021 when I started the program. I had version 2019 and the upgrade was 2021.2. However, the program crashed and was never updated. I therefore reinstalled the entire program, but after that the option to upgrade was disabled. How do I solve the problem?

I am a new commercial leasing agent. I have a picture of a retail space with theold sign (i.e. previous tenant's signage). I would like to put the sign of the new business into the framework of the old sign. Also, the picture of the building was taken at a slight angle, so the framework of the old sign appears as a slightly skewed rectangle. I have the image of the new graphic as a pdf. I have tried using Photomerge, however, although it will move & resize the extracted image....there is no provision for me to rotate it within the skewed rectangle shape outline to compensate for the fact that the picture was taken on an angle.  Subsequently, I have attempted to select the new sign section  from the Photomerge result, hoping I could continue seek a method to align the inner version with the outer outline through cutting and pasting (using layers?). PLEASE HELP. Thank you in advance for any & all assistance. My boss knows that I have never done ANY photo editing...

Ik heb Elements 14 op mijn nieuwe laptop geInstalleerd maar krijg nu telkens de melding dat dit serienummer al in gebruik is voor het maximumaantal toegestane computers. Ik moet een andere computer deactiveren of een ander serienummer opgeven. De  oude laptop is al gedeactiveerd en een ander serienummer heb ik niet Wat nu??? 

I have PSE 2019 installed on my Mac and on my Windows10 PC.When I make a (multilayered) PSD file on my Mac and transfer it to my PC, I can open that file in PSE, but the layers are gone. PSE shows the image as a JPEG. Yes, the file has the psd extension. Is there a solution for this problem?

I have been using Photoship Elements 2020 on my Mac (Big Sur) for awhile, and today the photo editor stopped working today.  I get the "Loading Photoshop Element Editor Workspace" message and then nothing. I have seen several messages to reinstall, so I have reinstalled several times and nothing. What is odd is that after reinstallaiton, I thought it would ask me for the serial number, but it does not.  It just times out.  No errors.

Just re - installed and did updates for Elements 19 on windows device but I am not able to open sone Jpeg files while others are okay.  How do I fix this error?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows if Adobe still supports Photoshop Elements 13, as of April 2021? I also saw some developer notes that said Elements 13 no longer supported Photoshop RAW pictures. Does this mean all RAW pictures, or just certain ones? 

I have been using Photoshop Elements 12 on my Computer (s). Since I bought the dvd when it first was introduced. And I have never ever had a single problem . I still have the original disc and pass key, but just recently on a New computer, Similiar to my others, it now say that I have to many computers attached to this program and requests a new serial number. I paid almost 300.00$ new for this program and I know it is old but it is very reliable and I do not want to lose it. Can you help I am on a HP 17" all in one PC.

I just purchased PSE 2021 and it appears you must remain logged in, in order to use this program. Maybe I am "old school", but this is the first time this has happened to me with an actual piece of software that I have purchased, rather than with, say, a subscription to a newspaper.  So I am a bit concerned by this, because businesses that force you to stay logged in typically track and monetize your behavior.   So I would like to know: what does Adobe have the right to keep track of, in terms of my use of this software?  Do they have the right to keep track of which features of the software I use?  How often I use them?  How long I spend using the program?  Information about what kind of camera I used to take my photos, and other metadata?  What about tracking of my behavior elsewhere on my computer - do they have the right to gather information about what other programs I have/am using on my computer?  My behavior while using other pr

Windows 8 . I am getting code 160 which relates to permissions.  I am the administrator. I have gone to the registry (REGISTRY!!!). Haven't been there in 20 years.  I changed permission on everything I recognize as relating to the product.  My product loads to around 65%.  One of the places it suggests is in the Windows app path Photoshop.exe, but I don't have Photoshop.exe in that place? 

So I had no problems importing HEIC photos into Organizer and opening in Elements 2020.  However, after doing an edit, something as simple as a rotation I'm not able to keep (Save) the file in HEIC format, only the other options as seen below. I hope there's a way to Save As HEIC; but, couldn't find how? Thanks!  

Shooting mostly RAW. The RAW files are first viewed and culled in FastRawViewer. Next, a chosen image is sent to DxO PL4 Elite for initial processing, and then finished off in PSE 18 and PSE's NIK, if needs be.  BTW, I don't go directly from PL to its NIK because it just takes too long.  Once in PSE,  NIK opens much quicker. So, here are the problems:1.  If PSE hasn't been opened yet, when it is called to open the file from PL, it opens with the NIK palette also opened.  I always want NIK to open with PSE.2.  If PSE is already opened, when it is called to open the file fro PL, the NIK palette is not opened and has to be opened manually from either PSE File or PSE Filters. Why isn't NIK's palette opening under this condition?3.  After finishing processing in PSE, saving it, and then closing the image from PSE, the opened NIK palette will close also. Why does the NIK palette close while PSE is still open and the processed image is closed?4. When I go to
