Photoshop Elements

I have consistent  drive letters on my external hard drives (PLURAL!) Organizer recognizes the drive letter, but if one of the drives is not plugged in (mounted), Organizer sees the files on that drive as missing.  Is there a way to have Organizer see the removeable hard drives as "external media" like DVDs? I know to plug the drive in when I want to use one of the files, but when I want to look for legitimate missing files,I don't want to see the files from the drives that aren't plugged in.  Or does someone have another work-around to suggest. I don't want to make more than one catalog. Is there a way to make a printout of the missing files with their path?  Then I could just go through the list and look for files that aren't on an unplugged drive.From MichelBParis: I am not sure I understand your question. Everytime I open up the catalog for PSE 11 I'm told that many photo's aren't connected to their thumbnail.  I have since found copies of a few older catalogs' as well as some other untagged photo's. Is there any any way to get the program to try to connect all the pictures to there thumbnails knowing that hundreds will be unconnected and then have all of the unconnected pictures just deleted.I suppose that these will be the picttures that that the program calls unsupported? If this can be done I realize that my new catalog won't be accurate and that there is a likelyhood of many duplicates but at lease they these can be dealt with?  Is there any other ways to do this this?

I've owned and used a purchased, stand-alone copy of PSE 15 for several years. Today, I tried to open it and this came up:I've never had to sign in before and I have no desire to start a free trial of anything. What's going on here? Has anyone else had this happen?

I uploaded Adobe Elements 11 onto my new HP Envy laptop. When I opened Elements to see if it loaded correctly, I found that I have the problem with the high resolution screen showing the text so small, it is barely readable as others have posted about on this forum.  I did find a fix for that, however,  I haven't adjusted my resolution yet  because I ran into another problem.  When I click on "open" to get a file from the "picture folder" on the laptop, Elements only sees one folder and the dozens of other folders are not there in the pop up window. So, I tried to see if Elements would "see" the folders on my external backup drive when I used "open" there.  No problem, the dozens of other folders were all showing in the pop up window and I had no trouble navigating through my photographs and opening them.  I don't understand why Elements doesn't see them on the laptop since I uploaded those from my back-up drive.  I'm so confused!  FYI, I can ope

I added warped text to an image and it seems you can't add a stroke to warped text.  Is that true?

In Lightroom, you can choose files and select "Edit >> Open as Layers in Photoshop". Can this action be replicated with a series of steps in Photoshop Elements? Thanks!

I use PSE 2020 for digital scrapbooking, and I keep all of my photos in the Photos app on my Macbook pro.  I would like to use the PSE organzier ONLY for digital scrapbooking supplies (mostly jpg files), having them reside ONLY on a portable SSD drive.  I don't want to keep the digi-scrap files on my hard drive on my Macbook.  Is this possible?  How?

I want to add a gradient for the sky of a photo. When I have the Layer Mask in place and try to add the gradient, all I get is a transparency over the area I want the gradient to affect. When I try to do the same thing with a new blank document, it works and I get the blue to white gradient on the blank document. I am forgetting or not doing something I need to do for the gradient on the photo. (WIN 10, Ele 2020)Thanks for your help,Sonja

I am using Elements 2018 and I am not able to create or delete a new tag or photo in my (big) library anymore.I got the message 'error while creating a new tag'. Same for deleting a tag or deleting a photo.I tried to repair the database but that didn't fix the issue. Also the optimize function does not fix it.I installed Elements 2021 and tried to convert the library from 2018 but Elements shows the message that there is an error during import and giving the suggestion to repair this with the original version. (which does not work either).Help! I am so scared to lose data from what I build up in years!

I purchased Photoshop Elements 9 and Premiere Elements 9 about ten years ago, installed from DVD's onto my Mac and they have been there ever since.  I have now purchased a new Mac with Apple silicon chip, restored a backup from the previous Mac and Elements 9 will not run as it is apparently a 32 bit program. Is there any way to download a 64 bit versionw of Photoshop Elements 9 and Premier Elements 9, or is it possible to re-install from the DVD's as 64 bit versions?  I don't see anything on the box to indicate if it is 32 bit only or if the DVD's also contain 64 bit versions. From what I can tell, only the current and previous (2021 and 2020) versions are available for download.

Hi all. In Elements 2019 Editor I could open Process Multiple Files and move files from one folder to another whilst at the same time adding a watermark. Now I have PsE 2021 but this does not work. The Process Multiple Files selection is greyed out and I can't find a way to make it alive. Does anybody know how.

‌Photoshop elements 14 doesn't allow me to use the clone tool because there is no source point defined. How do I define a source point?

I recently purchased a new computer (WIndows 10) and installed Elements 2021.  I had Elements 13.1 imstalled on my old computer (Windows 7).  How BEST to transfer the content in Version 13.1 to the new 2021  version [without loosing all the cataogues, albums, people etc]?  Maintaining continuity between versions was why I purchased the 2021 version.

I have a jpg of a custom made piece of stained glass. I want to change the color of selected sections to  custom colors I create. I have tried creating a custom solid color layer and applying and painting onto a selected area using the clone tool. This is very awkward and time-consuming using a mouse as a paintbrush. I would like to be able to save my custom color as a swatch and apply that color to an area I select using the Quick Selection tool. I would also like to be able to select the opacity of the color layer so that some underlying texture shows. I am using PSE13. I have attached before and after photos of the artwork.

I can edit a jpg file and save with no trouble. When I try to open a raw file it brings up raw screen, if I do anything on that screen it freezes and I cannot close photoshop elements 15 without restarting the computer. Just thought I would share my recent experience. I have been using PsE in various releases since 2005 but more intensly since 2016. In 2018 I was very upset when the maps in my 6 months old program stopped working. Adobe new this would happen but still sold the program. Pay for upgrade was the only solution which I did. I then found a bug in the program which experts on this forum confirmed was real. No fix from Adobe. In Nov 2020 PE21 came out and the bug is fixed so I bought it. After 2 weeks it would not load so I thought maybe it's time to stop this, get a refund and switch to the subscription program Lightroom Classic. After all, even Adobe say 'Take the step up to Lightroom' so it must be better?So I dowloaded it on 7 day trial and imported my catalog of 12,116 photos. Not a good experience. I found organising not so easy and all my current PsE system of Events, Places and Faces was not easily usable. Moreover when I tried to create a slideshow or photo collage it was really hard

I have been using PSE 14.0 & Premier el 14.0 for several years, with windows 10, and have had no problems, now suddenly PSE 14.0 won't open.  Premier 14.0 will open, it's just Photoshope elements 14.0 that won't load.   When I trouble shoot , it says Adobe Photoshop Elements 14.0 is incompatible.    But why all of a sudden. Please help, I need to access my many photos.   Pat

HiMy Photoshop 13 has suddenly stopped working.  It won't even open.  I am running Catalina 10.15.7 on a MacBook Pro.  I don't know where to go or what to do.  Shoud I re-install?  I need a link for what to do, please.  Thanks,Chickie

I am really not satisfied with the photoshop elements 2021. For the amount of money spent I would  expect something better.

Once again the clone stamp does not work. Seems everytime I go to Elements to use it it won't work. When will there be a fix for this?

Several questions regarding upgrades:1.  Not being that interested in all the fluffy artsy gizmos, what am I really gaining in Elements 2021 that I don't have in my copy of Elements 9 (2015)? E.g. speed differences?  Finer gradients of light/contrast/highlight-shadow/saturation/color settings? Better, more intuitive user interface?2. Any High Dynamic Range (HDR) capability or workarounds?3. What really useful features are not available in Elements 2021 that I already have in Lightroom 5.7.1 (2018?)?4. Does the RAW utility work with the newish Nikon Coolpix P950 camera?  Sometimes it takes an extra few months for software to catch up to new camera model's compatibility.
