Hello, I'm looking for DSC specification (PostScript Language Document Structuring Conventions Specification, Adobe Technical Note #5001) which was available at this URL:https://www.adobe.com/content/dam/acom/en/devnet/actionscript/articles/5001.DSC_Spec.pdfHowever, the URL doesn't work anymore and I can't find an alternative location of this file.Does anybody know where I can find this specification?

I have deactivated all my Type 1 Postscript fonts. When I open an old Photoshop file that contains a Type 1 font I get this error message. . Some text layers might need to be updated before they can be used for vector based output.  Do you want to update these layers now? I click Yes and I get this message: Selected font failed during last operation. If problem persists, please disable the font. OK. I click OK and the box just pops up again, and again. This also appears: I click OK and nothing happens and Photoshop freezes. This is a nightmare as I have many old files in Creative Suite programs. 

I have a client using a very old application that generates Nutritional Facts Panels (NFPs).  It's important for compliance that they enter the info into the application that then creates an NFP. We recently had an issue where the file this program creates wasn't high-res enough, or a vector for that matter, so we began to explore options.  We were told by the application's support team to "export" by creating a BMP or EPS file that we then are using in Adobe Illustrator.  Currently we've used a Universal PS driver and it does properly create a vector file that's not useless.  However the fonts aren't quite right.When we bring our generated NFP into AI, it can't find "Arial" or "Arial Black" which is crazy to me.I've looked at a lot of threads about this but the issue seems to be with AI because I can view the .EPS in a free online viewer and it's perfect but only has issues in AI. My question is;  Is there a preferred PostScript driver for files that

Hi all,  I purchased a second hand Xerox printer (Workcentre 7220) and didn't read the small print on the listing and it didn't come with the PostScript module installed.  As I have a mac (OS Sierra, 10.12.6) and mainly will be printing pdf files (I make my own notebooks and diaries, usually print elsewhere but thought I would be clever and print them myself) I believe I need to locate a copy of Postscript, is this correct? Any advice on the following would be greatly appreciated: - For now, is 'print as image' as good print quality as if I used PostScript?- Where can I obtain a Postscript3 module / kit?- If I buy a cheap PC just to send things to print will it be as good as sending from my mac using Postscript? Thank you so much

I have book files that are printed on demand by Amazon and others. Some of them have postscript type. Will it be necessary to send them updates with open type replacements?

I am creating a book with 200 pages of text, 10 chapters, 20 pages of illustrations, ~500 endnotes, Glossary, Index etc.Initially composed in MS Word but need better software to format it properly. Any suggestion on what software package might work best?

Trying to create a postscript file that will pull from multiple trays and staple on a Ricoh  

with a Fiery controller as a RIP.  I have a woeking file for just tray pulls and just stapling but combining the 2 doen't work - it just tray pulls.  Below is the tray pull (mediacolor) commands that work, the staple command that works and the combined commands that don't. Is it possible to make a closed path (curved, no straight lines) in pure PostScript without having two equal points at start/end? I can contruct this easily in Illustrator clicking the last point onto the start point and dragging the handles, but I didn't find a way to realize it in code.

My environment is Linux. I want to do a program to add a print watermark. The program will process the file before the printed PDF is sent to the printer, add watermark information (some identification text), and then send it to the printer for printing. But now the text added by PS script can't achieve the transparent effect, and will cover the body of the document. How to realize this? It's better to have a demo.

I am using Distiller  service checking some folder every 10 second but i am facing issue service stuck at warning popup "cannot open  this file" this file is bening used by another program. On that issue i need click on OK button to rerun the service. is there any way service stop shoiwng this warning pop message. So my service will not stuck on that warning popup.

The real printer is connected to the Linux host PC. What I want is to print from a programme in my Windows guest and create this way a *.ps file via a virtual printer. After I can print this *.ps file in my Linux host. For this purpose I need a PS driver, that supports the setting "brightness". I have found such a PostScript driver, that has settings that allow to adjust brightness. I downloaded the designing font style from Anchor Font [link removed by moderator] and one more thing I want to add here that is I really inspired by this community so I want to ask a question that is can I used the stylish and designing fonts style in the scriptwriting if this possible please tell me about this and guide me if this is possible 

I have a PDF I am going to be filling out with patient name, address, social etc. I then have to fill it out again on a 2nd PDF. Is there a way to automate certain sections of one PDF and make them show up on a 2nd PDF? 2 different forms for 2 different pieces of a medical exam, but lots of manual fillinf out of multiple PDFs. Time would be saved if it only had to be filled out once. Any suggestions?

Hey ! I work on a project with photoshop by a bitmap windows. I need other shape for haltone my image, it's possible to upload a new ahs file but i'm too novice for create my own postscript. I can't create pdf using Distiller from latex (dvi -> [dvips] ->ps) made document. This is simple file drawing tree (attached test.ps) but it uses to many save/restore operations. But Ghostscript (ps2pdf) has no problem with this file. Problem is that publisher requires to use Adobe Distiller with their provided joboptions. This is not a first time I'm having this issue. I want to ask  Distiller developers can they fix it by enlarging limits or implement some configuration where user could set these limits. Here  is my post about that problem for tree creating package https://github.com/pgf-tikz/pgf/issues/984

I am unable to use all of the installed fonts.Below is a simple program%!PS/TimesNewRomanPSMT findfont12 scalefont setfont72 200 moveto(TimesNewRomanPSMT) show/HelveticaMonospacedPro-Rg findfont12 scalefont setfont72 300 moveto(HelveticaMonospacedPro-Rg) showshowpage When I convert it with Acrobat Distiller it replaces the Helvetica Monospaced Pro with Courier.I purchased the Helvetica Monospaced Pro font, it is an ".otf" file and resides not in C:\Windows\fonts but rather in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Fonts. It appears that postscript doesn't search this directory when using findfont. Would like to know how to modify the code so postscript will search that directory. Further need clarification if it is because it is an ".otf" font that it doesn't work. The "TimesNewRomanPSMT" is a ".ttf" font. Help please
