Premiere (Beta)

I have quite a well speced machine. 64G of Memory i9 9900 processor, RTX2080 Graphics card. I'm doing a multicam edit using text based editing as well as image based. The 4K footage is of a two person interview shot on three Sony AX53s all synced (in post) to external mic tracks. I will be working along, happy as I can be, able to cut back and forth in real time (or with a slight lag) when suddenly all the controls become useless, both keyboard and mouse. I can't cut between angles any more and the timeline won't stop running. This will go on for as long as 15 seconds before the timeline stops running. Occasionally the text window will not recover and the text will not come back. Your innovations (regarding text based editing and multicam) are really wonderful and make such sense and work well 80-90% of the time. I understand current beta is allowing transcript data to percolate up from nested sequences. Am working with Chinese audio and SRT caption data... I can't re-transcrtibe this. Since captions can't percolate up... (they can only be baked in visually)...is there any way to convert prtranscript to SRT ? I understand the format is intended for word-by-word timing, and also to indentify speakers. But if the format can allow entire sentences to be given a single timecode, I can imagine some sort of tranlation tool could allow this.  Then I could try percolate the transcript up through the nested sequences, and ultimately have an edit that doesn't just have baked-in captions but could also export SRT.

Steps to reproduce:1. In a sequence, add some transitions each side of a clip.2. Right-click it, and do "replace with AE comp". ResultSee how the resulting comp is only the duration of the clip without 'handles', and the incoming/outgoing transitions are removedExpected:PPro should retain the transitions, take these into account, and create the AE comp to be the duration of the clip PLUS the duration of the transitions. And retain the transitions. Version: Adobe Premiere Pro BetaWindows Inspiron 77913. Steps: tried to follow instructions for beta useResult: expected to import media and set up autotranscribe. Actual: can't import, sequence or practice editng. And there is no sound at one point in the clip which brings up a yellow sign, stops the playback, and then continues playback.I'm not sure if this is a bug. I believe I imported the Kerstin Interview as a source because it plays. It loses audio at one point, but other than that, it seems to work. I checked the Transcription Settings and set them to ID speakers, since I thought there might be two speakers. However, there's no create transcript button at that point and no way to make this a sequence. So I have no transcript and no way to test edit per instructions. What did I do wrong? Every option in the menus is greyed out except for the few options, and I don't know if this is because I'm in a field or because only certain options are available.

23.4.0 BETA (Build 37) Macbook ProMacOS 13.2.1 (22D68) I tried twice with the same results I finished my rough cut and made a transcript. Then I made captions. This revealed that one of the speakers is missing from the transcript some of the time. In the attached image, you can see that both speakers have captions some of the time and that sometimes one is missing. The warning is for a caption that is too big for its bounding box. This is not the case, however.

So I encountered an odd thing.  I do a monthly edit of a project and I bring in an old timeline, copy it and then clear the images to put in a new one, leaving titles alone. This week, with this current Beta build, the wrong (default) font appeared in all the graphics. I opened an older project to see if it did the same, and it did. The wrong font was in all graphics. Since I couldn't remember the font name, I opened up the release version of Premier on an older project and the font was correct.  I made a note of the font name, then went back to the beta build and the opened the current project. The fonts were correct!!! It's like something in the older version needed to register with Windows to show the correct fonts. The font in question is Lato, which I think is an Adobe font. Steps to reproduce:1. The export panels do not show up after closing and opening the betas, the only way to fix this is to clear the preferences every single time Premiere is opened. Is there any final solution to this issue? much appreciated !

-Adobe Premiere Pro (Beta) Version 23.4.0 BETA (Build 33)-Microsoft Windows Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.2728) Sometimes I put all clips in a sequence and use as my RAW source. This helps when I have 100's of clips and I can type exact timecodes to find sound bites easier.Now, the source window duration is automatically 12:00:00:01.Whereas the program window duration acurately displays the duration of all my clips.(Screengrab Attached w/yellow arrows)This is a problem because while scrolling through my raw video in the source window, the majority is black video. Hours of black video.     

I have to select a clip multiple times before the effect controls appear.

Hi, After the latest update which happened this morning 3/20, playback is sluggish. I get the beachball spinning forever soon after launching the application and starting to play a clip in the sequence. And I'm quickly stuck and need to force quit. Help!

We have improved our display pipeline to provide smoother playback and to reduce screen tearing artifacts. The change is effective in the latest public betas of Premiere Pro and After Effects.The changes we've made slightly increase memory usage, so the improvements are available on computers with a GPU that have 2 GB or more of VRAM.If you have been affected by screen tearing, we'd love to get your feedback on this change.

If I create a mogrt in AE and bring it into PPro, any sliders I added cannot (easily) have non-integer values. For example, I have just made a mogrt where you can specify (in seconds) the time before a piece of text fades off. This would normally be somewhere around 5 seconds...maybe 4.5....maybe 8.3....whatever. But the only way for the PPro user to specify these decimal values is to click on the number and type in the value - not very user-friendly. And then, the value displayed beside the slider is an integer - not the actual value.A solution to this would be if, when creating the mogrt in AE, we had some kind of "precision" attribute we could set, and PPro would respect this and display the value with the correct number of decimal places. And the slider woudn't round the value to integers when being dragged. 

I am able to mark a clip in the timeline. However when I use the Clear Selected Marker command (default keyboard shortcut is option+M) it does not perform the task.

The Tone Mapping option in Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder (AME) is now available as an effect in the Export Panel. Dear Adobe Support Team,I am writing to you to report an issue that I am experiencing with my AMD RX 7900XTX graphics card and the activation of OPENCL in Premiere Pro. When I enable OPENCL, I experience significant lag, and the preview barely works.I can only preview 10-15 images before the application freezes entirely. My system configuration includes a Ryzen 7 3700X processor and 32GB of RAM, all hosted on NVME SSDs. I have also updated my graphics card drivers to the latest version. I have attempted to resolve the issue by switching to CPU-only rendering, but the performance is still suboptimal.I believe that the issue may be related to a conflict between Premiere Pro and the AMD RX 7900XTX graphics card. Could you please advise me on how to resolve this issue or provide any updates on when a fix might be available? I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thank you in advance for your help.

Appears to be #FIXED in v23.4.0 build 33-----v23.4.0.27 Mac OS Monterrey 12.5Basic steps to reproduce the problem1. Create new project2. Import File3. Make Offline (leave on disk)4. Link Media5. Check (or uncheck) 'File Name' checkbox Expected result and actual result:Would expect the box to be ticked/unticked - however app instantly crashes when attempting to tick the box. Is the Auto Tone feature being updated in Beta or is it the same in the non-beta version?

Occasionally when switching into the multi-cam mode. The "Media Pending" error fills the screen. The media is obviously there as it plays from the timeline when not in multi-cam mode. I give it time (minutes) to find things and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Running 3 camera sources. All source material on SSD drives. A combination of MXF and Prores footage. All HD. This is a new issue with recent beta builds. Duplicatable on a MacBook Pro and on an iMac.

There were a number of bugs in Lumentri scopes (scope wobbling, whole scope shiffted up from the bottom of the window) that were fixed so I know you are workign on it. But, what is happening now is the low end is shifted up 10 such that adjusting of the rgb curvs down (low end crushes at 10 vs. zero. I deliver all content in HDR and try to maximize the thre range of the signal when possible for underwater cinematography. This offset is frustrating. I was trying to get off the beta but 23.2 that went out had so many of these problems on Lumetri Scopes that I had to stay on the beta. I hope you can fix this one soon. It would seem to be a simple fix due to how obvious it is.

I noticed thatin the latest version of Premiere Pro the preferences settings are opening and closing very slow. steps,open a simple projectgoto edit>> preferencesNote how long it takes before the panel opens, it takes about 10 seconds on my system...

While editing a multicamera clip, 1:44:00 duration so it's quite long, i'm constantly getting an audio warning dialog box stating "audio not found at.... "timestamp and clip name." I have verified no audio issues for any clips or assets within the project so it seems to be a incorrect error in the first place.  I will say the performance issue with the timeline on this version is exponentially better than the previous version 23.2 and for that i'll live with this mild inconvenience.  PP Version Beta 23.4.0 build 17 OS Ventura 13.2.1 MBP 16" M1 

Using the Beta software 23.4.0 - Build 17 for the purpose of trying out the edit text feature.Problem I'm having is when I search for text, the timeline jumps to the right place, but the text in the Transcipt window's search area does not move to the same place in the full transcription. I have to scroll down 3 hours of interview and find the highlighted text. This seems...not right. A text editor should jump to the search result, no? Am I doing something wrong? 🤷‍ Extra note: I do notice that one single word (not one I'm searching for) is staying highlighted in blue (?). No idea what that signifies or if that somehow is symptomatic of my problem.
