Premiere (Beta)

Four years ago I developed my plugin for a eucon controller (MC color, MC transport) in c++, starting with version 23, the plugin no longer works citing the error (Exception thrown: read access violation. **this** was nullptr . Exception thrown at 0x00007FFBAE964FD9 in Adobe Premiere Pro (Beta).exe: Microsoft C++ exception: std::bad_weak_ptr at memory location 0x0000000000145BF0.Exception thrown: read access violation.**this** was nullptr.)I tried to solve the problem but without much success, maybe you can help me find a solution.Thank you!  

Fergus, I am using the beta PP and I am not given the option on where to save the project. The option to select a location to save the project is not available. Editing with a 13 " M1 Mac Book Pro, 16 GB memory. The option to save the project of course is available on PP 2021 and 2022. Thanks for any info you can provide.  

Latest Premiere update is causing a file syncing error.

Dip to White selected in timeline. Until sometime last week the selection would show up in Effect Controls with options to change duration and Centered on Cut etc. Now it's just showing the name of the transition with no options. However if I select a video or audio clip the controls are visible and adjustable.

When I open the export tab the playhead is always on the first frame of the sequence instead of being in the same spot as in the sequence in editing mode. Very inconvenient if you want to export source in/out somewhere on the timeline.   By design or bug?

The new Fade Position slider lets you adjust the position of fades when applying Auto Ducking.   Ducking is a great feature of the Essential sound panel that allows you to automatically reduce the level of music when dialog is present (or any other combination of audio types).  This is a common task when balancing audio and it can take a long time when done by hand.  Auto ducking automates this process and does this for you very quickly.  But to make the fade sound really smooth it’s common to have the music fade overlap with the dialog a bit.  Now, this can be automated too.   With the Fade Position slider, you can choose where you want the background audio fade to land in relation to the dialog – outside the dialog, inside, or in the middle.   Of course, you can manually adjust the results of individual fades after performing Auto Ducking, but this way you can get closer to what you need faster.   We want to know what you think.  Please join t

Hello, I did the latest update, but now when i choose to export none of the setting options are viewable (I verified I have the timeline selected prior to selecting export). Also to note, when I go back to edit menu it disables my workspace options. It also grays out the top menu lists. I am woking of a Macbook Pro M1 Max. p.s. I have tried restarting computer and program multiple times to no avail. Thank you, Anthony

Premiere Pro Beta v 23MacOS Ventura 13The export window doesn't work. When you enter export window the settings entry fields are missing from the screen. Only option is to blind export. 

I've just loaded a project in 22.5.0 Build 62, and when I export it, the default Preset is "Match Source - Adaptive High Bitrate". Unsurprisingly, the terrible, broken "new" export workflow thinks that my 4K, 25fps sequence should (the preset is called "match source" remember) be SD NTSC (720x480) 29.97fps. Ugh, Adobe...please fire the idiot(s) who thought this export workflow was a good idea and bring back the infinitely superior, not-broken, old workflow that everybody loved.

The horribly flawed, dreadful, pointless, universally hated "Export workflow" has completely died. If I try to export something, I just get a blank screen:...and my activity monitor reports that PPro is doing 0% CPU activity. I shall modify the project so I can open it in a better, older version of PPro. I (along with every single person who has had the misfortune to encounter the hideous, broken, coded by someone who has no idea of UI/UX new Export Workflow, with exciting features such as Now with more clicks! Totally illogical! Unreliable! Pointless! Bug-ridden!) wish Adobe would listen to its customers, and kill off this absolutely diabolical piece of junk and bring back the much loved, perfectly fine old version. I've reinstalled the public beta several times.   I can't get it to download and actually apply my CC settings. I can't get it to actually OPEN a project created in a 2023 created Production. At least, as far as say ... showing ANY panels.   I get a blank screen. As in ... I can't get the workspaces to actually do anything from the menu, they're grayed out.   I can't get it to 'see' any of my prefs or keyboard shortcuts, my 7 custom workspaces, zilch. I do get a panel that opens on another monitor with the Production panel on it.   If I click a project in that Production panel, I get a cascade of panels across that screen ... Timeline, Program Monitor, Source, and ECP panels. All in a cascade of separate panels.   This is totally unworkable.   Win 10, Ryzen 3960X 24 core, 128GB of RAM, 2080Ti, and every other version back to Pr2019 operating perfectly on this machine.   Neil  

Just found out today when updating the beta that future versions will require Mac OS 11 Big Sur going forward. A heads up would've been appreciated if that was the route things were going. Luckily I have a home computer with Monterey but I'll have to wait to try out any future beta builds going forward

New in Premiere Pro Beta 15.2 (Build 9) is a refined workflow for controlling how label colors and clip names are displayed in the timeline. Previously you could use a checkbox in the Project settings called “Display the project item name and label color for all instances” to control if your timeline clips used their own independent name and label color or matched the source clip in the Project panel. Now, this option has been removed from the Project Settings and can be found as a view option in the wrench menu in the Timeline panel called “Show Source Clip Name and Label”. This change means you can easily toggle this view setting via a keyboard shortcut. Additionally, if you are working in a Production you now have a way to control this setting and decide if you want your clip name and label colors to be unique to the timeline, or reflect the source clips. Let us know how this feature is working for you!    

Premiere is leaving behind folders that cannot be deleted from the harddrive. Inside there is usually captured audio or video folder. These folders are from older versions. Folders in the screenshot are not the only ones there are more. How to get rid of these folders.

When I want to change sequence settings, the window opens but when I click "okay" or "cancel" the button does not work. Even if I just open the window and make no changes, the buttons do not work.I want to change sequence settings from portrait to square, to landscape - for the different mediums where we post our social media. Also another bug - I cannot mark in and out points on the clips in the source monitor. My machine is really really slow and it should not be (specs attached)Premiere struggles now with our 1Dx MK iii footage, it never used to.iPhone 13 Pro footage also struggles more than ANYTHING. Can we please have some folder structure in the Preset Manager. The list is too long and a b..... to search.

Created new sequence by dragging clips to lower-right icon. Desired automatic sequence was created but an additional New Sequence dialog opened. Clicking on Cancel or OK did nothing so I had to Force Quit.

Macbook Air, M1 processor, 8 core CPU and 8 core GPU. With right mouse click i can choose scopes from the menu, but they won't show up. Panel stays black.I use the up-to-date version of Premiere on june 16th. Maybe that's the problem?It worked without any problems until Premiere update and/or Mac OS update (Bof Sur).Both updates around the same time.
