Premiere (Beta)

Just downloaded the new Beta today and have come across the application hanging up on the "start up" screen of the application. The circle just spins and nothing loads in the startup window. I did find that you can just close the window and open or create a new project from the menu bar File->New/Open Project. Not seeing this problem on the Mac side.
(it seems Premiere isn't copying my system info to clipboard when i have it take me to the forums via the report bug button) Premiere seems unable to open my project in any way, the project has been made a local version from a team project which works as expectedopening the local version causes a crash 100% of the time, sometimes a hard crash without the crash reporter openingThis behaviour is seen with ANY project that is converted from team project to local Attached is a quick video displaying what happens, copy pasting the team project items to a newlocal project has the same behaviour with crashing after Premiere is restarted ( work from yesterday has thus been lost as i cannot open the project anymore ) Tested with a different project with much less video files in it, same behaviour in that one aswell
The Adobe video and audio applications are updating to the CUDA 10.1 SDK on Windows. Our products currently ship with CUDA 9.2 runtime on Windows. For plugin developers, the CUDA 10.1 SDK offers overall stability improvements and enhanced support for newer CUDA cards. Users should notice no changes, but as always, we strongly recommend keeping your CUDA drivers up to date. The latest Beta builds of the Adobe video and audio applications already include the CUDA 10.1 SDK. Note to 3rd Party plugin developers: - As CUDA SDK 10.1 is backward compatible with 9.2 we do not expect any impact on the output frames. However, as it is an SDK change, we recommend that you to verify your plugins with the latest runtim

We have added Support for Apple Prores 4444 XQ Export for Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder. It is available on MAC 10.15 and Windows builds. These are available for following Formats : Format : Apple ProRes MXF OP1a Presets: Apple ProRes 4444 XQ Apple ProRes 4444 XQ with alpha Format: QuickTime Presets: Apple ProRes 4444 XQ Apple ProRes 4444 XQ with alpha These are available in Builds starting Premiere Pro Beta (14.3.1 Build 27), Adobe Media Encoder Beta (14.3.1 Build 25) Please try out these presets and let us know how it works. [Moderator note: Brajesh, Do NOT add images via the "attach files" box, as you are then forcing everyone to DOWNLOAD the file to view it outside their browser. Drag/drop the image files directly ONTO your reply box so other users can see them without needing to download unknown strange files. I fixed this for you ... this time.
Please add a Non-Relative checkbox to the Lumetri scopes to make them useful for unclamped media. It's impossible to use a scope where the scale is changing. When "Clamp Signal" is unchecked, you can scrub through an unclamped clip and the IRE axis will change. This is undesireable and makes the scope unusable for many applications.
I had previously successfully exported a project to a WMV file using V14.2, but as of this past week, am unable to. I did successfully export to a MOV file. After hearing the issue with exporting projects in V14.2, I downloaded and installed the Beta V14.3.1 (build 23) hoping to correct an issue with exporting to a WMV file. It continues to hang, usually around 9% complete. I've checked and unchecked the "Enable hardware accelerated encodig and decoding" with no change. System info and screen shot attached. Graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, which does not support NVENC. Please help as completing this project is becoming urgent.
Please solve the problem with the driver, I always get an error in the system, although all the drivers are updated. The manufacturer does not release additional drivers that are offered for updating.Laptop HP Spectre x360 (screen - 4k)
Hi everyone,Is there any recommended workflow for processing and grading ProResRAW in Premiere Pro (beta)?I'm shooting Z6 and record ProResRAW(HQ) to Atomos Ninja. All seems great apart from the fact that the normally exposed footage appears to be 2-3stops overexposed while loaded into Premiere. The RAW has plenty of dynamic range and there is no detail lost in the highlights (after decreasing the exposure at least 2 stops in Lumetri color basic correction). But I'm wondering if the import has to be done differently or if the exposure of the camera needs to be explicitly adjusted while shooting ProResRAW to avoid the need to heavily correct the exposure for each clip. This is how ProResRaw footage normally exposed by camera looks after importing into Premiere.here it is corrected:There is no problem with exposure with any other format with this combo (and Premiere), so this is specific to ProResRAW.Then I'm interested in color grading. I love the detail of this footage, but so far,
I have a MacBook Pro 15" RAM 16 GB, Nvidia 750m 2 GB, but unfortunately when I turn on Renderer "Metal" full HD video (1080i) playback goes with interruptions, as if strobing, absolutely not smoothly with drop frames. At the same time, the iStat program shows the full load of the video processor and memory of the video card. At the same time, Davinci Resolve and FCPX play everything very smoothly, the processor and memory of the video card are half loaded. If I switch to soft Renderer in Premiere, the video card is not used at all, even for decoding the source video, but the CPU loads up to 70%. I only work with ProRes and DVCPROHD, very rarely with h. 264.
In the latest Beta build, we have updated Canon SDk to version 2.4. With this, we have also added support for files from Canon 1DXMKIII. Please try out the feature and let us know how it works for you.
This week we shipped 14.2! Thanks to all of your feedback and help testing, these Beta features are now available to the public in the latest 14.2 release. Finished features: ProRes RAW support on macOS and Windows Hardware encoding for AMD and NVIDIA now supported on Windows for H.264 and HEVC Keyboard shortcuts for marker colors Filter properties in the Effect Controls Panel Pen tool performance improvement using Bezier curves Auto Reframe now analyzes video sequences twice as fast Default audio device switching for all DVA apps on macOS This week in Premiere Pro (Beta): Improved playback and scrubbing performance in ProRes multicam sequences. The Opacity parameter in the Effect Controls panel no longer automatically adds keyframes when adjusted. The new Rec2020 mp4 files from Canon are now supported. Bug f
Joining of two clips ( audo + video ) in a merge clips option, creates a new clip , but it is not possible to edit the clip from the source window. There is no possibility to put mark in and further edit. his is a bug of the program for a very long time not corrected.
Once my CPU fan hits about 3000 RPMS it stays there until I restart my computer. It does not take much to make it hit 3000 RPMS. It only does it with the 14.3.0 Beta. On Beta 14.3.0 my workspace won't save properly, it keeps moving every time I reopen the application. Has anyone else seen similar issues?
Is it possible to have a default selection for exporting media when it comes to selecting Entire timeline, In/Out etc. and crucially that default would carry over to AME when using it through either Queue or dropping a timeline into the render queue via dynamic link? I ask this because 99.999% of the time I want Entire Timeline. Most of the time I dynamically link my timelines in AME and drop a finished one in there and let it render while I start to work on the next version for the next newscast. Last night I didn't realize I had a rouge in point about 7 seconds into a 12-second reporter stand up intro. Guess what went on air in our newscast? Yup, a 4-second intro that made no sense. The default settings for both AME and the local export suck that you cannot pick "Entire Timeline" and it will default to that if that's your jam. In news we move fast and sometimes little things that should not have any consequence on the final export like a random in-point still sitting on the
So I've tried beta build 14.3 that has added RED SDK for R3D support and my RED files will actually play now, in the timeline but still not a smooth as it should be, I still get some dropped frames during playback. Footage still is a little jittery. I get 2-12 dropped frames during playback. I'm working with various RED footage up to 8K Resolution. Even when I drop the playback resolution to 1/4 or 1/8 it still doesn't playback as smooth as it did in premiere Pro build 13.1.5. Im available to provide any additional information needed to help. We're going in the right direction but we're still not there just yet. Getting RED playback as smooth as it was in v13.1.5 is the goal.my computer specs:iMac Pro3 GHz 10-Core Intel Xeon W processor128g ramRadeon Pro Vega 64 16 GB graphics cardEdit drive: Thunderbolt 3 raid ssd
The Beta keeps crashing on start-up. It appologizes (which is awefully kind), freezes, then closes.
Now available in the Premiere Pro (Beta) builds is the addition of bitrate controls for your JPEG 2000 MXF OP1a exports. In the currently shipping version of the export settings for JPEG 2000 MXF OP1a the bitrate was generically set based on the Broadcast Profile and Tiling options you selected. Unfortunately the lack of manual bitrate control would often lead to higher-than-expected bitrates in the final output. Now you will see that we have prioritized the bitrate settings over the somewhat less useful Broadcast Profile setting. In doing so we have also tweaked a few other options: Previously JPEG 2000 output was only Lossless if you selected a specific Broadcast Profile. Now this is a user-selectable option. The Bitrate Slider does from 10Kbps to 100Gbps though if the maximum bitrate is set higher than the amount of data the encoder produces at maximum quality, the resulting bitstream will have a lower bitrate than the value shown
Just started using the Beta version today and has crashed three times on me during the past hour.
Steps to reproduce:1. Set Hardware acceleration to CUDA in Project Settings2. Add video to track 13. Add a legacy title to track 2, after 3 seconds4. Play the sequence Result: After 3 seconds, when title starts, playback fails, and shows freeze frameExpected: Video should continue to play Workarounds: Turn hardware acceleration off (Software Only), then on again. Playback now works, but throws hundreds of Low Level exception errors System infoNvidia K5100M video card, driver version 426.32 (no newer driver available)Application: Premiere Pro (Beta) v14.1.0.100OS: Windows v6.2RAM: 31.00 GBCPU Count (logical): 8
Happy to see that the new beta build finally addressed this issue. I'm sure some diehard users were asking for this for awhile. Especially like how it will acknowledge past projects as well. Very happy with this change as well as the new fixes and features the engineers have brought.
With the 14.3.0 beta once my CPU fan hits full speed it stays there. Closing Premiere Pro 14.3.0 does not help. I have to reboot my computer. Adobe 14.0 does not do it nor does DaVinci Resolve.I have an i9 9900KGigabyte RTX 2070Gigabyte Motherboard.32 GB of RAM
The result I got from the current version of Premiere Pro and the Premiere pro(BETA) when exporting is still the same. I am using my gaming laptop that has an NVIDIA GTX 1060 GPU and has my encoding set to hardware. however, when I press export, it is still utilizing around 16% of my NVIDIA GPU and 100% of my CPU. I also have my project setting set to GPU Acceleration (CUDA). I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Currently there is an interesting but difficult behavior in nested sequences used across projects in a Production. Add a nested sequence from one project file to another: the nested sequence "shows" as a nest, is added into that project's project panel, but no longer is connected to the original "nest" sequence. Changes in the original sequence do not ripple through to other uses in other project files. Clearly, the addition of a nested sequence from one project file to another is treated something like copying a clip into a stand-alone project works, in that the nest is added to the 'new' project's file. Therefore apparently duplicating that as a "clip", except if the nest is double-clicked on the timeline you can still open up the original media clips. But it doesn't behave like fully like a "nest" as you can't change the original nest and have that ripple through the Job. Which seems to defeat much of the purpose of nesting to begin with. Neil &n
