Premiere Elements

My video is blurry when I pull it into the timeline. Even when I render everything it's still blurry. Though when I pull a text (can be empty) on top of it, it becomes sharp. This is very annoying and I would like to always have a sharp video.

Hello, I've been running Premiere Elements 2014until today on my old PC without no problems. I did not feel the need to update, but now I have a new PC and I'd like to buy the latest version.Will my projects I am currenly still editing in Premiere Elements open without struggle in version 2020?  Can I just continue editing or are there more things to take notice of? I also am thinking of switching to Pro, but I guess the projects made in Elements do not 1:1 open in Pro, right? It is still possible to run Elements 14 next to Premiere Pro right? |Thanks for your replies and advise.RonaldThe Netherlands

Hi,update 20200130 "stripes" the preview in horizontal lines as a result of which it is not clear. The other parts of the menus seem to be fine. I restored the original installation and the problem was resolved. I installed the latest update again and the same problem was repeated. Any suggestions? 

I just purchased and downloaded Premiere Elements 2020 yesterday.  Every thing went smoothly right up to attempting to use this software for one of the main reasons I purchased it:  To sit at my terminal and capture video with a webcam. I have the Windows 10 permissions set so the Elements seems to recognize both my internal built-in laptop cam, as well as my USB Logitech C920 webcam.  But there is *no display* when looking at the capture window.  I can take a little video and then see it upon playback.  But the audio is not synced. This strikes me as a BASIC function. I just purchased this software yesterday - for this very purpose - among others. I sure would appreciate some support from the manufacturer. And I'm wondering, of course... if I can't get this working - do I have any recourse?  Do I get my money back? Thanks in advance for any help, input etc.

Wanted to check this out because i need to do some things i cant in premiere pro but i cant find elements in the cloud to try or sub too.

I understand that green spill means there is too much light or that the presenter is too near the green sheet. I have tried many settings - distance (as much as 12 feet between green sheet and subject) and various light settings and I am still unable to get rid of the green spill.The quality of the recording is good but after editing, the green spill persists. I think it is more apparent for us Deaf presenters as we use sign language, ie, quick movements of hands and arms. Normally people would not spot it but we Deaf peope use our eyes and we focus on signing hands and when one looks carefully one can see the faint tinge of green spill around the fingers and thumbs.Today I did an experiment using my ten year old hand held HD camcorder. Obviously the quality is not as good as Canon XA25 but I was very surprised to see, after editing, no green spill at all! I’m now wondering if I’m using incorrect settings on Canon XA25? The highest setting I use is 35 Mbps (50p).However, that is not al

What is the keyboard shortcut to trim the end of a clip in the timeline a frame at a time?

I use the exact same music clip in the program "Ghost Train" and when I drag and drop it in the track, there's 2 other clips merged in with it and I can't undo it. I don't know how I even did it. When I delete the clip that says Ghost Train, they ALL go away and all I hear is the original sound to the video. I've saved and restarted the program and my computer, nothing changes. Please help! Hi all,Completely new to premiere elements here.  I watched a tutorial on how to add in overlay (picture in picture) video to my project.It looks fine during the project preview. When i export thru the quick export @ 640 x 480 resolution, everything looks normal.When i export thru "TV" at 1920 x 1080 resolution, my main video looks fine but my overlay (which is in the bottom right corner), is cropped halfway horizontally.When i tried a custom export at 1440 x 1080 resolution it looks normal again. Am i missing a setting somewhere?  Why is it not exporting correctly at normal HD resolution?  Only my overlay is affected.

When I simply copy and paste the ‘Title’ and then modify the copied version the original ‘Title’ is also changed. It looks that they are somehow linked. This is not what I want. I want to modify only copied version.  

I've recently downloaded the trial version for Premiere Elements 2020 version 18. I'm trying to purchase the software to the full liscence and this is the message I get.  "Product unavailable.We’re sorry, but the specified product or promotion could not be found; it may have expired or it may not be available in your country or region (Israel). Hello, I need to log in to Premiere Elements 15 however it says I have reached the maximum amount of computers allowed. I wish to log out of all the other computers since I no longer have access to them. I contacted support but since it's an older version they can't help me. Please help. 

I have Premier Elements 10 and I wanted to import an MP4 file.  The MP4 was created using VHS Capture software called Elgato Video Capture.  Now I'd like to edit the file, but for some reason it won't import into Premiere Elements 10.Any help and advice will be appreciated Kind regardsDave

Every now and then my program loses contact with the mouse when I'm working with the transitions. What can be the problem?

The Project Archiver does not seem to work properly. Not only does it not cut unused assets it seems to be adding assets that have not been attached to the current file. I downloaded the trial version of 2020 and this does the same thing.I checked the assets using the Project Assets drop down, but the archive has picked up pictures, music and video clips that are not shown on the dropdown list.Any ideas? Peter 

Hi Windows 10Premiere 2020 I created a video project in Premiere 2020. It wont burn directly to me DVD burner but can run to ISO file and burn that to DVD. That accomplished, I am trying to make a version of this video to play in Ireland (PAL). Do I have to make a new video to accomplish this? Premiere can't convert the completed project? If that is the case, what settings do I select in PALFull HD 1080i 25Full HD 1080i?? What is the difference?Thanks for helping. Roy H

Just purchased Premier Elements 2020 (MacOS) to create green screen videos. Help and how-to instructions show Keying as having Green, Blue, and Non-Red, but they do not appear in the Keying panel for MacOS. Is that correct? Any indication if the feature is coming (to MacOS) soon?If it really isn't to be implemented in MacOS, I'll need to return the Elements bundle.

I saved a video in progress to my OneDrive cloud.  When it was saved it was removed from my computer.  When I open Premiere Elements v.14 now it says that the media is offline.  I have found rendered files but when I try to import them I get "This type of file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed." I can't figure out how to get the video back intact.  I’m not totally computer illiterate, but I am way out of my league here.  Can anyone help me from having to starting this project over again?

I love those boxes that sometimes pop up while Premiere Elements is loading because I'm always full of ideas for improvements. I've now got way too many to squeeze into the little text box. Here they are:When I'm adding a transition between clips, if I click on the duration up arrow, the duration goes from 1 second to 2, but then jumps to 4. This is very annoying. If I want a 3-second duration, I have to either the down arrow to go back to 3, or click very slowly to make sure I get the number I want. If I want 4, I'll select it. I wonder if this feature was meant to save time for people wanting to get to higher numbers, but really, it just makes selecting 3 seconds more time consuming. I'm not a fast clicker, but even I can get to 4 on my own with needing to skip 3.Make the beat marker detector work. I have been trying to edit a Go Pro 7 clip using Adobe Premier Elements 2019After importing the clip and placing it in the timeline everything seems to work fine, video and audio playback are in sync However, as soon as I RENDER the video, both the video and audio fall out of sync, the video begins to weirdly morph where it slows down and speeds up randomly while the audio remains intact (at least I think so)(Also I have tried handbreak and it does not help) Can anyone help me? Footage properties (file type mp4) VideoFrame width       2704Frame height      1520Data rate             60004kbpsFrame rate          50.00 fps AudioBit rate               189 kbpsChannels            2 (stereo)Audio sample rate   48 kHz 

Hi,I am simply trying to add a classic text box to a video in Adobe Premiere Elements 18. I can easily create the text and modify it but I would like the textbox not to be transparent but colored. When clicking on the "background" button" nothing happens. I have been trying for more than one hour and looking for answers on the web but no results. What am I doing wrong ? PROBLEM:  It seems that, after a few weeks, the face analysis feature is still processing media.  Initially, the face analysis process was so intensive, it appeared that the Adobe Elements Organizer program was frozen or unresponsive.  However, Windows Task Manager indicated the program was still running.  Today, face analysis seems to still be running, weeks later, even without the addition of new photos.  The face analysis, over time, has become less intrusive, but we still have the following questions: How long does it take to process the media?  Is there a rule of thumb associated with face recognition?  We are using a Dell Intel Core i9 @ 3.10GHz desktop computer, with 32Gb of memory, and an nVidia GeForce RTX 2070 graphics card.Is there a way to monitor the overall progress?  Occasionally, we see a prompt in the lower status bar that might indicate XXX of XXX videos processed, but don't know where we can go to see these statistics as n

Hi! I'm working on a time sensitive project. I have a MacBook Air, which I know already puts me at a disadvantage with working on video editing...but I'm still hoping you can help me.  Parts of my video footage go to a blank dark green screen during the playback, or when I'm trying to edit the video itself on the timelines. I've rendered like crazy. Some clips are fine, some aren't. Does anyone know why and how I can fix this? Thank you so much!
