Premiere Elements

I want to extract moving subject from background in Pr El 12. I have 2 clips, a person walking along the street on first clip and the same street without person- I'll call it background. Both clips shot from tripod from the same position and everything is the same except for moving person. I want to extract moving person so that all other pixels are transparent so that I can put it in front of some other background. In theory that is exactly what differernce matte should do. So I put background clip (empty street) on layer 1, street with moving person above it (layer 2) and than apply effect "Difference matte" on layer 2. The result should be moving person without background (person on black bacground since all pixels which are the same on layer 1 and two should be "erased". However that is NOT what I get, I see only the background clip and when I select that clip and turn opacity to 0 I see only black screen. Does that mean that above clip is completely transparent instead of just non

Hello,I have an opportunity to purchase a Panasonic AG-AC8 Camcorder, but need to check it's compatible with my Adobe Premiere Elements 2018 before purchase. It records using AVCHD format. Am I right in thinking 2018 can import this?Thanks in advance!

I just found out Windows 10 does not let you burn your Element 10 DVDs. I had that it might be my DVD blanks, until I conferred with Adobe Support. I also contacted Microsoft. It's their software and aren't interested in making changes to their program for Adobe. I love working with Adobe but I am now losing business because I can't get the DVDs burned unless I go into another program that doesn't recognize my menus. If something isn't done immediately I will have to totally abandon Adobe products.

After creating a narration sequence, I have lost my audio on the timeline for everything that is not a narration.  In my project assets, the audio still works.It is very frustrating, it happened yesterday on a project and could not find a fix.So last night, I did an uninstall ... then a fresh install ... everything then worked fine.This morning I started the video editing project over, after 3 hours of work ... it did it again.  Please, help needed.thanks

I have completed a video in Elements 15 that used photo and music files whose source was a folder that is on my desktop. Silly mistake! I now want to move this folder from my desktop to the secure part of my hard disc. Doing this however removes all the source files from the stored video when I want to edit this in Elements. My question: how do I move the source folder, with all its' files, whilst at the same time still making all the files available when editing the video?

Hi, I have Elements installed on an Acer windows 10 laptop – I tried to open Premier Elements today but it won’t open --- However, the photoshop option does open as it should. There is no error or any feedback when the video editor won't open ---it just does nothing after clicking on it, no spalsh screen no anything.My Premier did work on this computer but I have not tried to open it in several months so I am not sure when it stopped working or why

I have version 14 and version 2018 as well as previous versions; however, I had to reinstall my Premiere Elements 10 because the slide show feature in the newer versions is vastly inferior and not worth the effort.My question is in 2018 I created a slide show in version 10 and successfully output to a WMV file. I recently revisted that slide show and made some changes, mostly audio and tried to output the revised slide show with two results.One, I received a C++ error and the program shut down and two, I received the message that my output was successful, but it wasn't. The WMV file is incomplete and each time I output the slide show, I get another incomplete WMV file, but it crashes at a different location in the slide show.Any suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks

Premiere Elements Stop

I have 2 youtube channel ... I often sign off of a channel on premier element to then sign in another channel to be able to upload on this other channel. The problem is that I signed off ... Tried to upload a new video on youtube ... clicking on begin share ( expecting to get on the page that will ask me to subscribe to a youtube account since i just signed off ) but instead the page becomes white ... it wont upload anything . There is no buttons and no way to upload anything on youtube. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software and restarted the computer and still the same thing ! Really need to fix this ! please help.Micael A.

I have a clip into which I want to put a animated smiley face to donote a location in the clip. The problem is the camera was shaking and the spot is moving around in the frames. I tried Motion Tracking but I get the notice that I must chose a item that is moving. I suppose the program doesnt consider a slightly moving spot in the video a full blown moving object to be tracked. Is there something else to use for a slightly moving spot in the frame(s) Thanks

I have used Premiere Elements 2019 on a Windows 10 computer for about a year, always to turn a series of 1080p .mts files from a Sony camcorder into a 1080p .mp4 file with edits and titles. Just recently (within the past month), this process has stopped working: Premiere Elements freezes partway through conforming one of the .mts files and locks up the machine. This has happened with multiple sets of .mts files recorded at different times, and on two separate installs of Premiere Elements on two separate computers.Nothing has changed since the last (successful) time I used Premiere Elements -- with the possible exception of installing an update to Premiere Elements. So, I don't think it's a Windows issue or a codec issue. There seem to be no recent posts on this problem. If more information is needed on my install of Premiere Elements, please let me know.

 prem elem 2020 crashing after clicking on 'export & share' after spinning for just about 10 sec, working with 4K30fps 7 sec test clip.  Tested on ver 2019, worked great. Cleared all media caches, rebooted to clear memory, and purchased the HEIF image ext, and HEVC video ext. (purchased before the crashing started to see if PE 2020 could handle 4K60 or 1080p220. It doesn't) BTW, what is the highest quality mp4 PE can handle?, you guys (adobe) must already know this, please tell me so I can stop experimenting, thanks. ps I have also read the "Troubleshoot video files in Adobe Premiere Elements (Feb2019)"

I am using Premiere Elements 2018 on Windows 10 HomeHow can I import a title I created in one project for us in a different project?Google search says it can be done as:In the Expert view, click Project Assets to open the Project Assets panel.Select the title you want to export as a separate file.Choose File > Export > Title.However, I do not have the "Export" option under file. I only have an "Export & Share" option which does not allow me to export a title, only video.How can I reuse titles I create in one project in other projects while still maintaining full functionality (i.e. ability to edit title in the new project).ThanksDave

I'm a total newbie trying to create a video using multiple static png images. Specifically, creating a video of a music score that follows the playback of the audio track. Each page of the score is saved as a separate png file and then imported in PrE. The Png files look great outside of PrE, but are extremely blurry and low res in PrE. I've tried exporting the Png files at various DPI rates (75, 150, 300, 600, and 1200) all of which are unworkable. What is the magic secret to importing these files so that they'll appear clearly once they're exported?I'm using the H.264 default. Rendering either creates no change or changes for the worse. Playback is set to Highest. Windows7 64. I have a huge project to get done asap, so I'm hoping there's a fix to this.   Thanks in advance!   Title edited by Mod

Hi there,Im trying to fit a video within this green area but I can't seem to use the perspective tool or the skew options to fit the shape exactly. Am I missing some adjustment or step in the process?

Win 10, PE 2018I take a clip with audio.I remix and align the sound.then I group it so boththe original sound and the remixed soundstay aligned with the video. now I can edit, by cutting the whole session into songs.except PE does not seem to like that. apparently you can not cut the track into songsand move the cuts around independantly. if you can,I don't see how.   the whole track follows the clip. and adobe help seems to never help,only to try to sell me something new.to tell me that the only help they can give for PE 2018is to sell me the PE2019 makes it clearthat they are not help / support, but rather marketing.why would I pay to get new productwhen I can't get a useful answer to a simple question.

been trying for days to get a video made and all i can get is an audio file, all the footage is not there, even when i make short videos with a couple of frames I am  only getting audioAll settings semm to be fine and is using MP4.h.264Any one help please

I have HP 2000 series laptop computerrecently installed Windows 10 from Windows 7Intel graphics, updated to latest version.8 GB memory65 GB free storageUp to a week ago, Premiere Elements 10 was working fine.Now when I go to show a previously-saved video project, I get an error message that states:Incomppatible display driver. Update display driver. details Intel HD graphics 2.1.0 - Build 8.15.10.2900.Well that Intel driver is not the latest one. Do I have to go and instal an old driver?If I keep loading the video/audio project, it loads but displays a white screen. If I put the cusror on the screen and left click the mouse, it displays the one frame that I am on. Can anyone help? Norman

An amateur working still with Adobe Elements 10,  have just changed to Windows 10 and cannot burn discs. What newdrivers do I need?

How can I burn my DVD with menus to a disk?  After PE 14 this has become a huge problem, COnverting to to an ISO I lose the scenes 

I have my new HP computer up and running smoothly and have upgraded to PE 2020 and all is good!I do have a dumb question though. I saved a few prel file projects from my old computer to a thumb drive and copied them to my new computer but they won't open in the program. The timeline for the video clips show the multi lingual banner "media offline". The titles I created for the project are in the timeline but no video or still clips. I believe I asked the same question years ago after a hard drive wipeout but cannot find the answer. I understand that the program can't show the clips because they are not where I put them initially (the old computer) but is there any way to salvage this project or must I start over?Thanks!

Hey all,  using premiere elements 2019 and my total footage is 8 mins but whenever I try exporting a finished video it has 22 mins of black attached at the end.  What am I missing? thank you! S 

I am very new to using this software. I am trying to make a video with photos and video. I want the photos to be a set time that is shorter that the time allotted when I add media. The video would play as normal. There are many photos so I need the time adjustment to work for all photos.
