I am exporting some edited AVI DV interlaced video to H.264 format and seeing "stuttering" in the encoded video. Every 30-60 seconds I will see frames jump back and forth for 5 to 10 frames. It seems to happen in random places and doesn't necessarily follow a lot of motion in the video. The settings I am using are:"same as source" checked for frame rate, width/height, field order, aspect, tv standard, profile, level"render at maximum depth" checked VBR 2-passTarget bit rate: 4 mbpsMax bit rate: 17.5 mbpskeyframe distance: not checkedTime interpretation: FrameSamplingI am using Windows Media Player to view the video. I have tried playing the video on a 2nd computer without a graphics card and I see the same issue. I think the graphics card may be used during encode but I don't know how to disable that to experiment.Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I find it hard to believe that the menu theme choices that come with Premiere Elements 15 are my only options... the graphics look like they are from the 90's. Is there anywhere to download newer/sleeker options?Thank you!
I am struggling to import files from Photoshop CS3 into Premier Elements 10 and preserve their transparent background. I have tried .png (8 and 24 bit), .gif and .psd files. I have tried rasterizing the type layer before "Saving for web and devices" but can't get anything to work. The imported files end up as either text on a white background (.gif) or the file imports as a black background with no type visible (.png and .psd). I have read a few forums but can't find any suggestions beyond what I have already tried. I also get the same problem if I "Save for web and devices" out of Illustrator.Any suggestions much appreciated.Mick
I have had my camera tapes recorded to hard drive as avi format. The videos are 2 hrs long with many different topics. I want to make each topic a separate video. I am using Adobe Premier Elements 14.

I am converting old VHS videos to DVDs for some family members and want to put on USB flash drives for others. The dvds are turning out fine but I'm having trouble with the flash drive videos. I've only tried usb 2.0, not 3.0 yet, feel this might make a difference.I just notice the video is more choppy when people are moving than in the dvd. I've tried just copying the dvd files to the usb drive and I've exported an mpg (mp2) file from premiere elements, both with same choppy result. Should I try another file type?Next, the dvd video automatically fills my tv screen but I can't get the usb video to do the same...it stays in 4:3. I've tried all of the video settings on my Samsung smart tv but nothing helps.Last, is there a way to use menus with the usb video like a dvd? Thanks for any help!
Can I load two video clips from two cameras of the same performance into Premiere Elements 13 (Expert Mode Video 2 & 3) and then select sections of each clip (cut & paste) and put them in Video 1, while keeping the video and audio synced? If the answer is yes, where can I find the tutorial?Gary

I have been using Adobe Premier Elements 14 for well over a year with little or no problems. However , recently I have been having an issue with my editing timeline not showing my complete movie. For example , I will pull a 48 minute video from one of my computer files and send to elements for editing. What I get is several minutes not being shown on my timeline . So instead of a 48 minute video , my timeline will only give me 44: 53 or 46:30 , you get the idea.Any ideas on what could be causing this malfunction ?Would greatly appreciate any input on this matter !Thanks ,Dave B.[Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome][Moved... Hi all,I've got Premiere Elements 2018. I'm trying to get a silent install for premiere elements 2018 on Windows 10 build 1709 x64 machines.I followed the instructions located here:Silently install and deploy Elements apps andPackaging User Guide I've gotten the program itself in the build folder to install silently correctly. My issue is with installing the pxengine5_08_13a.exe that's located in the Exceptions\Sonic folder.Following these instructions:Install Adobe Creative Cloud products in the exceptions folder The installer returns an error return code of 1 using this command line:ExceptionDeployer.exe --workflow=install --mode=postI can't find a solution. It looks like the pxengine is only required for burning CD/DVD's from within elements if I understand the use of pxengine? Is this still required with Windows 10? And if it is, how do I get a proper silent install for the exception?Thank you,Isaac Zenger
Hello, here is my problem:I'm using Premiere elements 14 on my windows 10 System. After the fall creators update there is no video-preview anymore (sound is still running). After rolling back the update everything was fine again. The problem appears again after updating. I checked the driver of my videocard (nvidia geforce 7025) - it hasn't changed after the fall update. I also installed quicktime 7 and re-installed Premiere elements 14 - still no video-preview. All videos (mp4, mpg or mov) still run in the media player. It would be great if anyone could give me some help fixing this. Thank you!Malte
I've been on the chat with helpdesk for over 3 hours to fix my problem of no soundfirst with neeraj Rai and later with sandeep singh. both working hard to fix my problem, but now connection failed because of a freeze of my computer. cannot connect back by support because chat is now closed (after 17.00) can anybody reconnect me with sandeep singh?
I have Windows 7 and Elements 13.I don't know what I have done but the text on the program layout is very tiny. I have adjusted the text size on Windows to 150% but it doesn't appear to have any effect on Elements. The text on the menus is so small it is difficult to work. Any suggestions on how I can make the text in the layout a normal size or do I have to reinstall the program?
I was surprised with a new camera as a gift. It is a rugged Olympus TG-5. It shoots 4K MOV files. I've been editing 4K MP4 files from a couple Panasonic cameras for about two years. I was expecting issues if I mixed the two in a project. I did some googling and found a suggestion you could change the file name of a clip from MOV to MP4 and it would still function! It does. PrE 2018 doesn't care! It will use either, both or even files with name changes. Camera specs say the codec is H.264.Obviously, I'm pleased because I can now mix and match 4K footage from three great cameras. It all works. The point of my post is to ask why. I've googled all morning and remain confused. Are MOV and MP4 containers actually the same? Is it just file naming? Thanks in advance!Bill
Hello,I'm hoping someone can help me resolve what I thought was a basic task. I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements 12 and I'm trying to overlay a video onto a static image of a laptop screen that is on an angle. I can't seem to match up the angle of the video with the screen. I've been using the Basic 3D effect and I can get 2 sides lined up but then the 2 other sides are way off. What am I doing wrong? Is there a tool in Premiere that allows you to plot points to create a shape and then the video fills in that shape? Thanks for the help!Steve
I just installed the Trial version of Adobe Elements 2018, I thought it would be a good way to stay organized as at the moment my videos are all over the place. It did import all the movies from my Google Drive/Google photos, including many .mov files. When I tried to import from the hard drive Movies folder, I got a message saying 200 videos had been imported but about 1000 files were not imported because of file errors. Actually there are only 4 videos showing up in the Organizer for the Movie folder. When I looked at the information for one of them, the program crashed, and it has crashed repeatedly in the last few days. Should I expect any better when it's not a Trial version?I am using a Macbook Pro with Mac OS 10.11.6, with 4GB of memory, and 128 GB available storage
I had recently installed PE 2018 after using PE15 for some time. Installation went well under Windows 10 (64) Pro early last month.I completed one video and produced an MP4 output last month prior to the late November Windows security update.. Yesterday I started on a new project and imported a photograph, stretching its time. I saved the project several times as I worked. When I attempted to put a heading using the Text tool. PE2018 failed. I tried this several times. Finally I tried opening a new projectand trying to generate a text frame. It blows upI deleted PE2018 and PSE2018 from my machine using uninstall on both. I reinstalled both.I still have the same problem.I noticed incidentally that PSE 2018 fails after changing to a different catalog and while cleaning up my catalog deleting a second photograph.Does anyone have a clue as to why? How should I fix this?

I have used freeze frame successfully in Premiere Elements 14, but when I edit the frame in Photoshop Elements 14 and save it, it does not appear in my movie (the edited frame). I have followed the steps I saw on Youtube and no luck.
I just got a new laptop and immediately downloaded my old Premiere Elements 12, and purchased an upgrade to the 2018 version. Whenever I opened the program, my laptop goes black and returns with a blue screen, prompting either to troubleshoot or restart. I uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times and the same thing happens everytime I open the program. Internet surfing and other programs work fine! I even went back to my email with the intention to re-download the exe. file but the link doesn't work! I can't seem to find any downloadable links in my adobe account too. Please help! I'd appreciate your solutions in advance.
I'm trying to mark favorite moments in my video clips, but the "Favorite Moments" option is missing from my tools menu. I am in the expert mode. I've taken a screenshot of my tools-video menu. Where is it? Help!
(Was title:): Premier Elements18 Trial Version. When loading clips onto the timeline, only the video part is shown. The audio is missing. This does not happen with other editing progs. When I am in elements 12 or premier elements 12 and I click on a tab at the upper left, the results are scrunched together and I can't read them.
Hello Everyone, I have Adobe Premiere Elements version 13.1 using a Mac G-4 (2010 Version) tower currently running OS 10.9.5 software. (I CANNOT UPDATE MY MAC OS SOFTWARE)I have NEVER had any problems processing or uploading long 2-hour-plus .mpg video files with my system before today.I have tried several times to render and create my latest long files and I'm encountering the same issue. The system will show that it is processing a FULL VIDEO FILE and indicate it will take 7 to 8 hours to complete. (That's OK... That's what it will normally take to process these HQ 1080p files) When the files have been completed, all I have is a short file averaging anywhere from 8 to 12 minutes long.Yes...I have closed the program and restarted the computer a few times.Yes...I have highlighted the entire timeline field for rendering and processing.No...There are no other outside clips or items outside the work area, only what's needed for the 2 hour video.Yes...I have at least 100 GB of disc space l
