Premiere Elements

I am trying to export a video into wmv and I would like the output to be the same as the input which is 1920x1080. However, if I go beyond the standard wmv setting of 720x480, the video starts to lose quality. Any suggestions? I am using Adobe Premiere Elements 12 on a Windows 10 Computer.

I am a infrequent user of premier elements 13.  I have an audio only file - .prel. I opened it to edit it.  But when I hit the play/pause toggle nothing happens. 

Adobe Premiere Elements 14 was gifted to me and I just installed it. I use the latest Adobe Premiere CC.I see a new floating library window that lets me "shop" for .JPG elements that are of no use to me. How do I "use" Adobe Premiere Elements 14? Like, where are the elements and how do I access them in Premiere?[title edited by mod]

I received a video recording of a school play as a .m4v file on a DVD. The size is ~ 3 GB. I tried two different ways to import the file into Adobe Premier Element as shown below:(1) Save a copy of the .m4v file to my computer (a PC)'s hard drive and add media from a file. (2) Import the .m4v file directly from the DVD.In both cases, the system showed the same error message: "Add Media Failure. The importer reported a generic error."  I've edited many .mp4 files and have never run into any issues.Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated!Joy[Moved from non-technical Forum Lounge to specific Program forum... I searched but couldn't find anything on this specific problem. . . After saving my work, I click to close the program and nothing happens. I end up having to 'force close' the program. This only happens when I open the program from my desktop shortcut. I can edit to my hearts content, and save my work, but when I go to close it just sits there. The red X turns gray, but that's it. Nothing else happens. But if I open my saved work, the program opens fine, I can edit, everything works AND it closes without out a problem. Also, if I open my saved work, and then click File - New, I can create a new project, edit, etc., save, and in this instance the program will also close without a problem. So it only happens if I open the program from my desktop shortcut (open the program directly - a blank project). Without wanting to have to state the obvious, Adobe always wants to do things differently; in Prel, I want to select.We all use mobile phones, today's exemplar: you see an object or text: you press and select it; you take an action, say, copy.PCs have been selecting something and choosing an action for decades.Can I do that in Prel: set a couple of markers, and select between those markers?(Can I even swipe across some video and select that?)I wouldn't have thought anything could be easier than that, but in the APrelU...I most certainly don't want to go around cutting material into clips and copying cut-up pieces of video - for such a fundamentally, simple, uncomplicated, need.Hours of reading tells me that you can't 'join a cut', undo a cut, you performed a while ago. How do I add pictures to a photo bin on Photoshop Premiere Elements 15 when I'm creating a photo album?  I've been trying to do so and am having a really hard time.  I'd really appreciate anyone's help.  ThanksErin    

2 months ago downloaded PE/PSE 15 Organizer and PSE 15 both launch.  I deleted PE 15 and now when I go to the download page, nothing happens except a box pops up with the Adobe logo and a button that says submit.  I don't see anysign that anything is happening, nor does my usual Win 7  box on the lower left screen show up..  Can't get through to chat either.  Any thoughts?Thanks Jim

I have been using PREMIERE ELEMENTS 14 with no problems on an HP 55-276na desktop, i7-6700, Win 10 64-bit with 16GB RAM.  I copy video recorded at church which is saved as an mp4, upload it and then edit with Elements.  Recently upgraded to version 15 but now when I 'add media' the video plays as expected, but there is no sound. If I simply play the file using media player (or similar) the sound is clear.Any ideas?

Pan and Zoom was working fine for 8 months and today, all of the sudden, ONE click on Pan and Zoom and Adobe shuts down completely. I'd like to add that its very lovely that no phone support is offered for this product only chat that starts at 6 pm Hawaii Time.  I'm on the east coast. Really?  I have a project due Tuesday. Can anyone shed any light on why Pan and Zoom shuts Adobe Elements down each time I click?

Is it possible to flip a video much as you can a picture?

Hello, I am new to elements and video editing really. I am looking for an effect I can put on top of some of my videos that looks like bubbles (like kids bubbles that you blow) going across the screen. I can't seem to find anything in the program. Does anyone know of an effect like this or is there a place where I can attain or buy overlay effect like this?

Every time I try to add a .MOV file from my NIKON D5300 I get a 'generic error' message. I have read elsewhere that these files require a codec to be recognised by Premiere elements 15? correct or not?

I have been using Elements 11 for several years now with no one problem.  And I was thinking about upgrading to Elements 15 when this happened. I started a new project and brought a video into the Project Assets box  -  but when I dragged the video from the Project Assets box down the timeline, here is what I got:"Adobe Premiere Elements 11 has stopped working  -  A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"Well  -  I have not been contacted by Windows, nor am I think they ever will contact me.So what the heck is happening here guys!  I love this Adobe program but don't know what's going on. And good luck trying to contact Adobe for a few simple questions to make this thing work. When I open Premiere Elements forum home page there are only a few discussions going on and no way to actually get to the entire forum.

i have started a few projects and gone away and aved them as a project but then when i get back on to the software, it looks as if the files have been corrupted and none of my previous auto saves will recover the project, this time it has one it mid project just disappeared and i have no ides what to do about it, any help out there????when i find the projcet to open (through adobe) it says this type of file is no supported or the codec is not installed. if i do manage to open the document all of the clips have got red background and all different languages saying media offline?please help there is no point in me having adobe if it does this to all of my projects?

Good morning I am trying to do a new project in PRE 15 and a lot of my clips are different frame rates, see below Some are with a Nikon D3300, another is with a Sony Cybershot and the other is with an iphoneSo when I put the different clips onto my timeline they are jerky See below for what it looks like on my timelineClip one is the 50FPS, clip 2 (middle clip) is the 29 FPS nad the right one is the 25FPSThese are the settings for my PC These are my settings if I start a new projectPlease could anyone help?Jilly Lowe

Greetings,Upgraded from an older version of elements awhile ago.  since then haven't been able to connect to the internet through the program.  haven't had time to try to figure it out.  I get the following errors when I try to post videos to the internet (youtube).  Again, not something I frequently do.  I get the first message and have a button I can click that says 'authorize.' when clicked get the second message.  If I try to reach the online help files I get a message stating that I'm not connected to the internet...but I am.  Don't see where or how I can I can change this.  I was able to sign out and back in to my account through the program proving an internet connection.  Also, no firewall or antiviral programs.  Suggestions?  thanks in advance.  PC, windows 7, elements/ photoshop 8 worked fine, wish I hadn't "upgraded."Adobe Premiere Elements requires your authorization to upload media to your YouTube account.ErrorYou

Sony PXW-X70 camera set to XAVC-S and files have .MXF extension.Can these files be edited in Premiere Elements 15 via "Add media" ?Is there a driver needed for these files?On-line research didn't directly discuss the above.Some suggestions were to purchase software to convert files to MPEG or MOV.If the files are coverted, is there any resolution etc loss from the original .MXF file?My PC is Win 7 Pro, 64-bit OSi7-4790K CPU @.00 GHz,16 GB RAMPlease accept my amateur knowledge.Thank you

HiI have recently purchased Photoshop and Premiere Elements 15 pack. Every time I have tried to create an Instant Movie with my own music (and duration is set to match music) the software creates doubles the length of music and merges the song i.e. if my music is 4 minutes long it will create movie of 8 minutes and plays the same song twice.I have uninstalled and re-installed the software but I keep having the same problem.Can anyone help? This is really frustrating.Thank youJaymin

So, I am trying to upgrade my video editing program. I have been using Microsoft Movie Maker because it was free and is easy to use. I am upgrading because it does not translate the HD video too well. A couple of website recommended Adobe Premium Elements 15. I downloaded the trial version to see if I like it before spending money on it. First thing, will the see through banner, made in trial version, stay on my finished video. I haven't gotten to the point yet because of two major problems. 1. I have tried adding a video clip to the timeline, the two other editing programs I use say the video is 17 min long. Adobe says it is 7 secs. Huge deference. What the hell? 2. Because of this I decided to add the media directly from the camera, a GoPro Hero+, as I am JUST looking at the possible files to add Adobe crashes. This has 3 times now. I am about ready bail on this already.
