Hiya folks, my first post here, so hello!I have around £300 to upgrade one aspect of my system and am really confused as to what I should upgrade. I run Premiere Pro CC 2020, version 14.01. I would say my priority is efficiency within the editing/effects/colouring process, and I'm not too worried about length of export time, as my system seems to deal with it ok, never really going over an hour. My main types of work are music videos, with a lot of effects and colouring, and I'm just getting into multicam, which I've found to be an absolute frezzing lagging nightmare..I edit mostly 4K footage (using proxies) and am starting to work with 10bit, but just in the learning process with that really I have attached full spec below, but I guess the main things to take into account are these -  I5 8600K CPU32 GB RAM - 3200 MHZC drive where PP is ran from is a 250 GB SSDDrive where I keep/edit footage is an M.2 SSD 600GBMotherboard is MSI Z370A - Pro Notice I don't

In one of several "experiments" to speed things up on an underspec'd computer, I installed Premiere Pro and all my related project files on the same (internal) SSD (and set all media & media cache to the SSD as well).  Does anyone have a guess as to why (especially during playback in the program panel) the hard drive is getting worked pretty hard by the PC (this is where everything stalls)? P.S. While I certainly appreciate general tips on improving Premiere performance etc (and I have tried many), I am not really looking for anything here but specific ideas on the hard drive issue.  I have no system restore operating, and no virtual memory allocated anywhere outside the SSD.

I'm looking for some dumbed-down advice since I'm not super tech-savvy. I have owned a Lenovo Ideapad Z710 for several years now and mainly used it for photo editing. Now I want to get into video editing and am realizing this thing is useless. I have Adobe CC suite and I received an error when trying to install Premiere. It told me I don't have the right Graphics/driver. My laptop has an Intel Core i7 and Nvidia GEForce sticker, so I assumed that meant both were loaded. But in searching my system, I can only locate the Intel HD Graphics 4600. I will not be shooting in 4k, so I don't believe I need the most powerful. It is only for instructional YouTube videos. But I need to be able to add lots of media clips to edit.In doing some research, it seems the Intel i7 should be fine, but I could also go with i9. The other specs I've found which I think I need are:Windows 10 64 bit (which I have now)16GB memorySound card: ?4 or more processor coresStorage: at least 256 GB hard dirve/

I'm building a new PC and have 2 Tesla P4 cards at my disposal. Is this a good GPU for Premiere? Can I use both of them? What would be the best motherboard and CPU to pair with this card if I can iuse it?

I'm trying to put together the componets for a build that would be used for: All of the Adobe CC suite (specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects), Davinci Resolve (for color grading), and some Cinema4D work. In premiere pro we would need to be able to handle multiple video layers of 4K log and ProRes footage. I am building a computer and before picking the CPU I thought I would ask you all which of these two would best for me...I mostly use Photoshop and Audition with a little Lightroom but I would like to get into Premiere Pro.Both CPUs are AMD Ryzens:There is the Ryzen 5 3600 (3rd Gen)6 core 3.6 GHz (4,2 max boost)it has 12 threads.Or... the Ryzen 7 27008 core 32 GHz (4.1 max boost)it has 1y6 threadsAny advice or opinions would be most welcome. After 10 years I'm upgrading my PC - this will be my first self-built PC. In the past I've replaced hard drives, graphics cards, memory, OS and drivers on occasion, so I think I can handle the build. With me working again now after my heart transplant earlier this year, I am getting back into the upgrade game. I am well set on my current GPUs, but now I want to update/upgrade my CPU platform on my main PC (which still has the i7-4790K from five years ago) by this Christmas. The reason for the update is that my main PC has been hiccuping when running programs, especially Premiere Pro. The 2020 (14.0) version has occasionally locked up on me with this current PC because some of its components do not meet Adobe's minimum requirements. I am thinking about either an AMD Ryzen 3000-series or an Intel i7 or i9-9xxx series. And I will be planning to purchase a new motherboard, new RAM and one new m.2 PCIe SSD with this upgrade. When that's done, I will move my GTX 1060 to this refreshed main PC and move the 1050 Ti to my mini-PC. My alternative plan is to simply mothball my current PC and reactivate my mini PC (which already has a 7th-Generation 4-core/8-thread Intel i7

Hi everyone, I have my new laptop Dell 7540 - Xeon 8/16 E-2286M - IGP 630 - Quadro RTX3000 6GB - 32GB DDR4 - SSD1To - Win10Pro - CC 2019 When I export 3min UHD 30P 4.2.0 8Bit 100MB  => NVenc H264 35MB CBRIt takes 3min.But not all my xeon are running (20%)my RTX 30%IGP 5%memory 70%SSD 0%as you can see on picture Have you an idea ? Or Premiere doesn't manage 8 cores correctly...ThanksSteph

I am building a new pc for $1000, but what to buy? Should I get intel or amd? What graphics Card. Need help of what to buy. Going to be using after effects and premiere. I want to order everything tomorrow.

Is there anything else I am doing wrong?

Having looked around the web for some assistance, there seems to be good reason for 3 SSD drives to run PP efficiently  (good resource from Puget Systems) 1 for O/S and programs, 1 for Media Cache & Scratch Drive, 1 for Project & Source Media, then a large HDD or RAID for archiving. All good. I now want to implement this on an HP Z600 workstation with 2x Xeon processors and 48Gb of RAM. It is for short 4K stock footage sequences (around 1min in length), so nothing too demanding. I already have 1x 1Tb SSD for the O/S and programs, and a large HDD for archiving. Could somebody give an informed opinion of how big the other 2 drive need to be? Min Size and Max Size, and a bit of an explanation if possible. Many thanks in anticipationWB 

Hi gang!I’ve been working on the 3D animation and Motion Graphics field for ages. Believe it or not, I’m still using my dual Dell 24” 1080p monitors from ten years ago. These are actually LCD and not even LED! lol. I think the monitors are 2408WFPb monitors.Anyway, the time has come for an upgrade. I want to get a set of 27”.I’ve ready many times the Adobe Suite doesn’t play nicely on 4K and everything is too small to see. As such, I am leaning towards a 1440p which is in between and allows me to see a full 1080p image onscreen with some additional space for the interface. However, I also don't want to buy a monitor with a resolution that will be obsolete in a year or two. So I'm torn between the two.Color is very important! Specifically to be able to see a full gamut with deep blacks and bright whites.I like Dell. For color, I’ve been told some of the best are the Dell Ultrasharps and the BenQ monitors. I know they should be IPS panels.Last but not least I guess the budget I’d like to

Hi, all.  I do some very intensive Premiere Pro projects day in and day out, so I just built up a powerful new 3970x system and have gotten some learnings so far that I thought I'd share.  My system: 3970x overlocked by 200MHz using AMD Master software; Gigabyte TRX40 Designare board; 128GB 14-14-14 3200MHz RAM; 4 NVME drives in RAID 0 for media files via Gibabyte Aorus M2 card; 3 separate NVME drives for project files, media cache, and software/OS; old 1080ti GPU; backup RAID 10 array on spinning drives.   My typical workload: 2 or 3 10-bit h264 150mbps VLOG streams in multicam, with LUTs applied across entire footage; 6 to 10 audio tracks; noise reduction on 3% - 20% of clips; ProDad Mercalli on 3% - 15% of footage; moderate use of other effects.  Footage comes in at 4K, and because some lenses are anamorphic, often end up being scaled/interpolate up to about 5K when desqueezed. Learning 1: Exports are extremely fast!  Wow! Learning 2

I have installed adobe premier pro CS5.5, but when i open new project vedio rendering and play back option is inactive, i cant change it to CUDA or OPEN GL option. My PC details as below.1. The original question is in the second post.   Hi Arjen_van_der_Wal,   In my opinion, replacing the HDD with the SSD will surely help but that can be expensive as you stated in your post.
