Bonjour tout le monde, Je voudrais acheter un nouveau PC portable pour un budget max de 700€, mais je n'y connais rien dutout !Il y a bientôt le Black Friday donc si je peux avoir à 700€ un pc qui en coûte au moins 1000€ et qui vaut le coup je suis partant.Je ne joue pas à des jeux, par contre je veux un ordinateur qui fasse tourner correctement les dernières version de Photoshop et Premiere Pro. Je cherche de préférence un Asus/Acer/Dell/MSI + Intel et un écran de 15-15,6 pouces.  Merci pour vos idées ! 🙂

Hi all,   Wanting some advice on the best way utilise my current hard drive setup in an optimal way for video editing. I do a fair bit of After Effects work as well.   I don't particularly know how to find exact specs. But I run a 1TB SSD, 500GB standard Hard Drive, and another 500GB standard drive for all system stuff and programs etc.   I've ended up putting all my stuff on the SSD, including project files, footage, and temp files; because I just assumed it would be easiest and fastest, but have heard of a number of different ideas of putting different elements of projects on different drives to optimise the performance of the computer.   So things like, where to put my temp files and media cache, footage files, other documents, project files etc. What are good practices when it comes to that sort of thing?   Appreciate any help given 😄  Thanks!  

I have been usings the Quadro 4000 acceleration card for many years in my Mac (2012), using Mac OS 10.12 with Premiere Pro CC, and everything worked fine. There was a problem with my audio programs and I had to upgrade to OS10.13.6, and suddenly the Quadro card doesnt work. What new card would you recomend? Paul Hoyle

Hello all, I will be buying a new computer system which will be more Premiere Pro friendly.  The two systems are identical with the exception of their hard drive configuration.  The systems consist of:Intel i9 9900K, 3.60GHz to 5.0GHz32GB Ram DDR4 2666 MHzGeForce RTX 2080 8GB The hard drive options:2TB 7200 PRM + 256GB PCle SSD    OR    1TB 7200 RPM + 512GB PCle SSD Which one of these hard drives would be better for Premiere Pro? Thanks for any input you can provide Bruce

As I'm thinking to upgrade my editing machine (HP z840, dual 16 core Xeon, 192GB RAM, Nvidia Quadro M4000 graphics), I'd like to know if anyone has experience / opinion / test results, of:a) adding another Quadro M4000 GPUb) adding a nvidia Tesla m40 12GB card Surely option a) increases the fluency of timeline playback, but does option b) do it better (ie is it woth the extra money...)? Any insights on this?

Hi I want to upgrade (aka get a new one) my current editing hardware and I have trouble to decide which CPU, GPU and the amount of RAM I should take. I mostly work with 720p vids, but my main client wants to go for 1080p and also maybe 4k vids. My current setup is: i7-4790K, GTX 770 4GB, 32GB of RAM DDR3 (4x8GB), Gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H, Windows 10, storage (SSD for OS+Apps and HDD for all sorts of data) + ASUS PA248 monitor (I do have plans to either get a bigger one or a 2nd monitor somewhere next year). I do have some issues with this PC thats why I don't want to upgrade it or invest additional cash on it (main issues the mobo seems failing on the SATA ports).  1. CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X  vs AMD Ryzen 9 3900X  vs Intel i9-9900KI never used AMD so I have no experience how they work with Adobe software and I'm sceptical to test it now (I can't just buy an AMD setup and then turn it back, get a refund and buy Intel setup). Hi all I am doing my research to better understand the hardware components of desktop PCs in order to upgrade mine but am looking for some extra advice. The end goal is to have a machine that can process 4K footage with ease, the short-term goal is upgrading the current PC to allow 1080p footage edits with ease. Ideally replacing one component at a time to assess the performance changes. Here are my current specs: I understand that for 4K I will work to replacing practically every component. But what is likely the current bottleneck? Premiere Pro runs OK with 1080p if viewing a couple of short clips but starts lagging soon after that.  If I was to only replace the CPU for now, should I go for an i7 or i9, and which one? Or AMD? Will that be pointless if I don't also upgrade the GPU? Or would even replacing the ram with 32GB DDR4 boost the current performance? Or should I just proxy my 1080p to 480p for now? I am purchasing a new Macbook Pro and I had a few questions regarding graphics card and Mac Metal. My options are either going with the AMD Radeon Pro 560X or AMD Radeon Pro Vega 20. I saw on the list of recommended cards the AMD Radeon Pro 560 is listed. Is that different from the AMD Radeon Pro 560X? And would the AMD Radeon Pro 560X still be compatible? Also how much more significant is the performance from the AMD Radeon Pro Vega 20 compared to the AMD Radeon Pro 560X? And is it worth the extra money?Thanks in advance!

Hello! I had a PC custom built soley for editing with Premiere by a local computer shop. However, I feel the setup isn't quite working on a day to day basis. I have looked at required and suggested specs.To get the perfect laptop is out of my price range.I generally do a lot of editing on different file types rarely 1080 never higher  some special effect no color correction etc.Where can i trim a corner here and there and still have a good experience.I'm wondering do I splurge on the CPU speed and get 8g ram  and 2g on the graphics card.I just want a stable platform and reasonable render times.  Where can I go minimum and where should I devote the cash that I do have.As an example... i could get an i7 9...H processor and 8gig ram with a Ti 6 G card ori78 H processor with 16ram and Ti 2G cardor i5 quadcore with 32ram and Ti 4G card. Appreciate any advice (and my apologies to Peru Bob but it won't let choose the topic below to move it hardware forum)

Hi,I recently built a new computer and ever since I have been having issues with CC 2017. First, I tried to set up my second display to show only the program monitor, that didn't work. It would create a black screen on my secondary monitor, I  could see my mouse pointer but nothing would be displayed. I tried switching renderers and disabling intel h.264 encoding. No luck. I then decided to just set up a dual monitor workspace. At first it was working fine, but then I had a crash and after restarting it would no longer playback any video, only audio. It usually shows a white screen for the program monitor and just blank for the source monitor, audio always plays. I reinstalled a few times, and it would fix my issue, but then it would come back. Now it won't go away, and Premiere won't work with both monitors no matter what I do. When I turn the secondary monitor off and disable it completely my video will magically show up and everything works fine, that is until I re-enable the o

Hello all, I plan to custom build my computer for video editing primarily; no games, streaming or anything. At this time, I edit H.264 XAVC Sony files (1080p/60fps and occasionally 4K/30fps - 60Mbit or 100Mbit quality files).   I'm looking for build that can easily without lag, scrub through the timelines, encode adn decode files easily, allow multicam to work flawlessly without lag, fast rendering times while maintain cool CPU temperatures, basic lumetri colour corrections, basic effects and anything in between!   I've done a lot of reach online and watched hours and hours of video on YouTube.
