So our church has a video streaming service for the people at home, and we have begun implementing lower thirds into ATEM Software Control, and we have been using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Media Encoder. Right now, we have a (horrible) Asus Essentio. We are considering a major PC upgrade to last many years to come. Hey Everyone,As a life-long Mac user, I think I'm ready to take the plunge and buy my first PC... unless anyone can propose any last minute arguments in favor of staying with Apple?My primary motivation for switching to Windows is because I want to work with Premiere Pro (that, and I don't have a ton of money to spend), and from what I can tell, it runs the same on both PCs and Macs, but the render time is a lot faster on PCs (correct?).To be honest, I'd probably stay with Apple if I could afford it -- as I mentioned, I've been a Mac user all my life, so I'm way more familiar and comfortable on that platform. But as I also mentioned, I don't have enough money to upgrade to an iMac with enough juice to run Premiere Pro. So my first question is... does anyone have any specific PCs (make and model) that they recommend I get?My budget is around $1,400 - $1,600.Second question... When in full screen playback, I experience strange horizontal glitches, most notably when there is movement in the frame. It's like there horizontal bands across the screen that show different frames. Slightly hard to explain, would be easier to show. I am on a Windows 10 Desktop, 7700K Intel CPU, 32Gb Ram, Radeon RX480 8GB GPU, fast internal raid for media, two SSD's for program/OS and cache.The problem persists on CPU only playback and with OpenCL, with HD and UHD footage, and with different codecs.It does not happen in the normal source of program monitor, not even when in 100%.I have chatted about this with Adobe, I have called them, spent many hours with them, but they were unable to resolve it, promised to come back to me and never did in many months, so I am hoping for a response here.

Hey,I currently have a 6700k and 16GB of HyperX Fury 2300MHz DDR4 memory. My storage includes 120GB of Samsung 840 EVO SSD and a 1TB Western Digital Caviar Black.My SSD is used for the OS and some other software such as Chrome, Teamspeak, Discord, Corsair driver software, etc. All of the editing is being done when the footage is on the HD and though I'm away from my PC now, I'm pretty certain my disk cache is on the SSD.My question is what would be the best way to upgrade my storage, and if needed, RAM also. I thought about getting a second SSD and a second HD (2 to 4 TB, still haven't decided), but I'm not sure what should be the use for each of the drives (SSD for disk cache, active projects, HD for footage and old project files, no idea basically).So, uh, basically, I have no idea how it should be done and could use some help.

Now that we're doing more and more work with 4k video, the PC I bought a few years ago just doesn't cut it. Hi AdobeForums,I wanted to get your take on my custom build as it's geared for mainly Premiere Pro and After Effects (Adobe CC). My budget is $1000, I'm $200 over but I guess I'd have to accept that (not sure where else I could cut costs.) So i will try an explain this as best i can I have 4 drives right now,2 SSD drives and 2 HDD ,one of the HDD is a very slowish 2TB drive i just dump images and audio effects on.My main SSD has my operating system on and a few games i play,it does have some programs but nothing from adobe.Now my second SSD is completely brand new,it has been formatted and thats it,this is the drive i want to use purely for adobe applications.I cannot install them on the (1) main drive as space is limited,so i would like to install them all on my (2) SSD,the other drive is a slightly faster HDDSo(1) Main SSD with OS on (2) brand new SSD with nothing on there at all(3) a slow 2 TB HDD(4) a slightly faster HDDI want to install 5 possible 6 Adobe application on (2) but where would i create the media cache for best performance, i cannot use my (1) drive so it would need to be on one of the other three.Is it ok to install my programs on the (2) and have media cache on the same drive  ?Anyway , all help

Seems lately every time I open Premiere on my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013, NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M) the UI surrounding the video preview will glitch out and display tons of artifacts during rendering. Even after the render is over some things get better but others do not. Is this a sign that my GPU is crapping out on my Mac?

I am asking this question specifically about the AMD RX Vega Frontier Edition vs. the standard RX Vega 64 version of the card. I know the actual GPUs are identical, but are there any of the following differences:10-bit color support?Hardware HEVC/H.265 encode or decode?Realtime RAW/4K/8K playback?Will the additional 8GB or RAM make that much of a difference?Additional features unlocked from the driver that aren't available on the AMD RX Vega 64?I am currently building a new workstation with a Threadripper 1950x processor and I'm curious if the cost of this card is worth it, or should I just take the $300 difference and add more system memory and get the standard RX Vega 64 instead.

My GPU is high-end but very old and doesn't support CUDA so I only have software rendering right now without the hardware acceleration I need. I need to get a new GPU - on a budget! The Premiere requirements page has a list of recommended GPUs, but having searched around a bit, most no longer seem to be available to buy new. I'm guessing these are not current GPUs. The list on the After Effects requirements page lists completely different GPUs.I have CC all apps so I need a GPU that can work well with all of them in the lower end price bracket. Is there a recommended list that covers all CC apps that lists currently available GPUs? If not are there any other recommendations? Do I just need any Nvidia with CUDA support?

Hello forum,We are looking for moving all our data to NAS instead of hard drives... and edit it from the NAS with thunderbolt 3.The question is for the working station connected to the nas :1. Is it better to have a NVMe SSD (Samsung 960 Pro) for the OS and a regular SSD for the media cache files (Samsung 850 Pro)or the opposite ?2. regular SSD for OS and NVMe SSD for all the media cache files ?It can sounds silly but I don't know witch configuration will be the best for performance...Cheers

Hello everybody. I need to buy a new vídeo card for my computer. I mainly use Adobe products, no games. There is a list of recommended video cards for Premiere on the Adobe site, but the question is this: if I bought a video card that is not in that list, how do I make sure it is suitable for Premiere?Since my budget is very limited, I thought of buying a Radeon HD6570 or an AMD R7 240, but these not appear in that list. Buying one of these cards can I be 100% sure that Premiere can use them and that the various video effects can run faster? Which feature should I have a video card to be compatible with Adobe Premiere?Thank you.

Hey everyone, I've been massive Mac used for over a decade with a long distaste for PC but mac is not supporting the heavy Premiere professional within reason so I'm looking to jump ship.I've been scouring videos about hackitoshes but I think pure windows may be best.Looking at the new AMD thread ripper vs Intel i7/i9 i've come across better results for the i7 w fewer cores (sub 10).Any thoughts on Premiere supporting more cores in the future or of AMD vs Intel?thanksCraig Moorespidervideo.tv

Just updated my workstation with i7 7600K 4GHz, 32GB ram DDR4, Nvidia 1050TI 4GB and Samsung SSD.I was expecting to have a nicer Premier performance than before and that's not what I have found. I don't know where the problem is.Note: I have tried to see performance-improvement threads from Adobe but most of the links refer to videos hosted in "video2brain.com" and they are missing (for example all links found here).I usually work with 1080p H.264 straight from Canon DSLRs and the right sequence to match those specs. With a LUT and some other light effects applied, I start missing frames at 1/2 Playback resolution. That's more or less the same performance I was getting with my previous Intel Quad 3.6GHz and it's like 8 years old! So I think there may be a problem.Maybe It's not related, but for example, I had to unable GPU acceleration in Photoshop because it was stupidly using the GPU to process RAW stills instead of the much faster CPU. So maybe something of that kind is happ

I want to prioritize performance in Premiere Pro CC 2017 above all. Then After effects.I experienced the change of performance that was CUDA back in the days, but now some say it doesn't seem to make any difference anymore. We now have better OpenCL and also Metal.The last Nvidia graphic cards shipped in MBPs were in 2014, so should I go for that one, or just buy the latest which have the Intel Iris graphic cards?Any MacBookPros Premiere users out there?Thanks!

Radeon Pro 580 with 8GB- This card is currently offered in the new Imacs and is not one of the PP/CC preferred cards.  I know this imposes some limitations, but how well will Premiere work with this card?  Is there a significant dip in performance?Thanks,

Hello,I believe there is thousand threads about similar problem, but I tried lots of things suggested there and nothing helps.So few months ago I got my new rigRyzen 5 1600 + gtx 1070+16gb ramI was using media encoder to render videos and video length 30 minutes was rendering in 45-48 minutes it was decent time and I was very happy of my upgrade.Now the video of 30 minutes are usually rendering over 1h (last video in 1hour 8 minutes), I tryed to do lots of thing suggested on forums like clearing cashe, checking windows for viruses/malvare, defragmenting disks "trying" to select CUDA but nothing changing in rendering time from software only option and CUDA rendering.Please any suggestions would be appreciated also will add an image with task manager while rendering video in encoder.[Moderator note: moved to appropriate forum]
