Need help, i have 2012 Mac Pro with GTX 980 ti Flashed, I'm able to select the CUDA but its not using the power of the gtx 980 ti to render my selection or play back 4k footage with out dropping frames, i can switch to OpenCL and it runs a little better is there anything i can do to get my CUDA going?  Im running OS X sierra 10.12.4 with all the updated nividia drivers, i also have ran geekbench 4 CUDA test and it seems like its working but not working in premiere pro 2017cc.................Thanks

Premiere is constantly bogging down on me, and does not use ANY available resources.I'm working in a 1080 timeline, with 4k footage.  My specs are:2x Xeon 2670's (16 cores)40GB ECC ramPCIE scratch disk (2000mbps)Separate System drive raid 0(700mbps)External Raid 0 HDD for files (300mbps)GTX 1080 GPUYet, playback when using Neat video is 1-2fps AT BEST, usually it will just freeze.  If I use something like "Cosmo" from magic bullet, I'll get 10fps.  I have never seen my CPU used at more than 20% during playback or export.  Hard drives are never more than 5%, and GPU is at 20% and may fluctuate up to 33% for a brief second.  My RAM usage sits at 50% most of the time.  I have zero idea where I'm bottlenecking.  I honestly had the same performance with my Macbook pro.  I'm aware that neat video is a beast, but I see no benefit in the better specs of the Xeon machine w/ a 1080, vs a mobile i7 with a mobile gpu.Would any upgrade help me?  I'm tota

Purchasing a new laptop: Dell Latitude E7470: I7-6600U dualcore 2.6Ghz; 16B with 256GB SSD. Display is 14"HD(1366x768.  Will this display handle the graphics needed for Premier Pro or do I need something more advanced?[Moderator note: moved to appropriate forum]

My company ordered me an HP 640 Workstation in 2016 that, at the time, appeared to be surprisingly slower than my 2013 custom built workstation (during initial tests). Those tests lead me to create a forum post here regarding that issue. That lead me into purchasing a new system. Once I received it three weeks ago, I re-ran most of my initial tests, and now the results seem more in line with what I would expect. I'd like to know if my new 2017 system should be performing much faster than the 2016 system, or if I should return it, and save my company $5,000. Hi there,I'm beginning to do more video stuff and I'm using iMac to export various kinds of video using Premiere Pro and also After Effects for compositions. I'm looking to speed up the export process in a cost effective way. Currently the iMac just has a 1TB non-SDD hard drive in it which I know isn't optimum.What would be the best options for scratch disks and external drives in order to maximise performance? Hi,I'm pretty new to Premiere and learning a lot.  I have a 2009 8 core Mac Pro with 64mb of ram, all SSD drives and an NVIDIA 980 TI from Mac Vid Card.  I am a full time editor, primarily in AVID but also in Premiere.  New machines are very expensive and I want to get as much life out of my old mac as possible.  The only upgrade left, is to upgrade the firmware to 5,1 and replace the processors with dual 2.66 12 core processors.  In theory, this should double it's processing power but I'm a little concerned about the upgrade.  I'll be running an unsupported franken-mac and I want to avoid problems.Has anyone else done this and have suggestions?  I'm looking to have a company in LA called Ibuildmac do the processor upgrade.Thanks,

Hey guys,I'm about to shoot my first feature film and trying to figure out post production costs. We're gonna shoot in 4k and I'm gonna cut the movie myself but that's where it ends for me, I'm gonna hire a professional editor to do color grading, effects etc. So my question is what is the most budget friendly option of a computer I can get in order to cut 4k footage and then export it for my editor to do the rest. I do not care whether it's desktop or laptop, mac or windows. I'm of course gonna edit in Premiere Pro.This is the current computer I'm using, but it's really struggling with 4k even on short projects.I'd appreciate any advice on this.[Moderator note: moved to best forum]

Hi!My Question: Which components should I upgrade to make way for the new workflow?I was fortunate enough to have a computer built by ADK a couple years back (see specs below in attached pic). It's been a solid performer for the most part editing hundreds of weddings. A few hiccups here and there but pretty solid and I think a lot of that might have been software related/bugs in Premiere. Anyway, I'll list my workflow below along with my current specs and I'd love advice on which components might need to be updated if any as I prepare to begin shooting 4k60p and editing on a 24p timeline (we pull a lot of footage for slow-mo). Hi there,I work for a local government video department and we are updating our video editing set-up.  We want 6 identical high-end system builds.  Problem is, since we are government and this project has an expected budget of over $30K, we can't just go out and buy them straight from ADK (we have one ADK machine now and like it) we have to go through an RFP process where companies propose their solution to fit the bill.Unfortunately, although we reached out to them, ADK did not respond to our first round of RFP requests, nor did any other qualifying company so we have to try again.  We are looking for companies with experience in building and supporting Adobe Premiere editing systems specifically.  We don't just want off-the shelf systems, and although we could build them ourselves we want the support from a company that specializes in Adobe systems.Can anyone recommend some companies like ADK that we can reach out to that fit this bill?Many thanks.

Apologies for this question.  I should have been able to find the answer but haven't succeeded.  In playing back from Premiere 6.0.5 I'm not seeing an image on my TV production monitor, which is fed by a Matrox MXO2 Mini Max.  Often (but not always) I also get no sound (in these cases, I don't see modulations on the audio meters in the Premiere interface).  I'm sure the relevant settings exist somewhere but I can't find them.  I do see the Matrox device under "Playback settings," but even though it is selected, there is no image on the TV monitor.  The Matrox device works perfectly with Avid Media Composer 6.5.4 and also with After Effects.  What am I overlooking?I'd appreciate help since I've struggled with this problem off and on for several years.  Sometimes it's OK, sometimes not.  And the unreliability of the audio is especially frustrating.  I've tried to read whatever I can find on the web.Many thanks.ALFRED GUZZETTIMac OS 10.8.5
