Background- I am following best practices by splitting my online course into lessons of no more than 20 minutes.- The video recordings from each of my 12 course modules is up to 45 minutes long- I have already edited / cleaned the video and audio using Premiere Pro and Audition integration (very nice!) My current workflow- Upload the entire edited video from PPro to Rush- Add Titles, Photos, Transitions etc to the entire video in Rush- Duplicate the project multiple times in Rush to "cut" the video into 20-min sections Questions- Is this really the most efficient way to "chunk down" my course into 20-min lessons?- If I chunk down in PPro, creating duplicate project files would create a ton more files, right? At least with Rush the program doesn't create tons and tons of project files. Just wanted to get some ideas from the hive mind in this community. Thanks in advance
Omg so annoyed with Adobe. So, so, so, sick and tired of the glitches, the daily updates that do nothing for the customer but install another bloat wear, the fonts that never work, and now this. SO SICK OF YOU
I am trying to get some answer and do not know wher to post and how to ask. I am Adove Suite subscriber but not a professional. I am just trying to learn as much as I can. One thing i would like to know about it whether the following video were made with just applications from Adobe Suite or any other none adobe applicaiton was used to finished. Adobe Creative Cloud Video Regards
Is that the punishment for daring to complain publicly? Now I installed version 15.2, and it getting worse. Subtitels ... the hell!!!I'm under time pressure and I installed the new version in confidence, and now this. ... worse than before. Why are you doing this to me? One simple question for the Adobe development team. Why did you test, befor ROLL OUT an application to your users? Why?
I have been using Premiere since 1991. Very few problems. The User Forum always solved any problems.
Not more than 10 days go by without someone needing to create a DVD/Blu-ray disc yet Adobe will not create a replacement for Encore. Not more than 10 days goes buy without people stating they still use the Legacy Titling system. Adobe does not care about the users. They care about the programers. The old Legacy Titler still has many features that the Essential Graphics does not. Is Adobe ever going to make the EG titles have all the same feautres of the Legacy Titler? I doubt it. That being said at least we can store the EGP titles into bins as seen in the video below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLQa-5GUQRw Mod note: Threads moved to the Video Lounge for off topic discussion around DVD and Encore replacement.
I wish my name was Randy Ubillos the creator of Premiere. I think that he moved over to Apple and created Final Cut Pro. One of the problems with any video editing programs are the variations of computer hardware. This has been a problem for Davinci Resolve
I have been using Premiere Pro for 20 years myself. Ten years ago I praised Adobe but not anymore. The CS Collection was awesome. The rent by month not so much. I agree the sofware is getting more and more bugs each release. I also think Adobe caters to new users as opposed to the old users.
There are features the Old Legacy Titler has that the Essential Graphics lacks. There are also features the Essential Graphics have that the Legacy Titler lacks. It might be hard to achieve 100% compatability but maybe 90% compatability could be achieved.
The Adobe staff should be well aware that people still need to capture old VHS, Mini DV and HDV tapes. We still need full Firewire support in 2021. Adobe should know many people still use the Old Legacy Titling system and sill need to create DVD/Blu-ray discs. ADOBE does not care what the users want. They only care what the programmers want.
Dear Zeesy,First, I'm a designer and not supposed to be a technician!Second, like others, I'm saying (millions of times) Adobe earns millions of dollars we're scratching the mouses dying by the monitor, spending hours for trying to fix these surprisingly appeared problems and at the end I open the iMovie or 3rd party programs and finalize in simply way.It shouldn't be like this.Adobe should hold this problem for millions of customers.Making this short, what you suggested I did several times. Sorry doesn't work!I think I erased premiere pro! Does Adobe care? I don't think so. Adobe and Apple are in the same bucket. They are far away from solving problems. They use the user's platforms and chat rooms where people research solving their pains. Does it right @Zeesy? Tell me!
Good morning.I have a bit of trouble creating small animated videos for internal email communication as well as social media. I use after effects to create the animations and export using media encoder. The file sizes for the final products are generally above 100MB, all at 30fps. Using the media encoder to reduce bitrate reduces it only to an average of 20MB depending on how big the file size from Ae is. Then i reduce the videos further online to about 7MB. The quality is not bad but also not great. For email, they require a maximum of 1MB for distribution in the organisation. Is it possible to get the video file sizes that small and still maintain crispt quality?
Man im not sure how Adobe id it but.. They managed to make this WORSE over the years instead of better.. Bye Bye Adobe.. You just spent your 9th life with me..Its been fun. You shouldve gone back to just selling us the software instead of make us spend year after year after year for a product that goes deeper in the toilet year after year after year.. adios
Hi, are you interested in Adobe Premier Pro bounderies (almost no boundaries), thru an animated music video I recently made for a band?https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=mytra+exogen+(animated+video)All video effects (as far I remember except one) are applied by Premier Pro tools with penettrated however easy work. The support team also helped me in issues, which were mostly generated stupidly by me and the limits of my anyway advanced (i7) processor and almost best video procesing. But oit's still a home desktope. There was always a method to solve. Good to know.Regards, Winci
best editor will be getting award tonight and will fun to watch the whole thing ( broadcast ) for me.I like the film biz even with all it's imperfections over the years.this mssg will get moved by monitor cause it's not about editing with PPro. It's more like a social thing.?Who knows... maybe telling stories or expressing oneself is somehow related to the ease of using an editing program to finalize the product for distribution and enumeration ?
Yup, same for me. I'm inching closer and closer to leaving Adobe every single update. If I have to relearn node based compositing and switch to Fushion or Nuke – I'll do it just to leave Adobe and their crappy quality control behind.
Hello! I need to be able to stop playback of a video hosted in Scene 7 from a click on my web page. Basically, the video opens in a modal window on this web page. If the user starts the video and then closes the modal (which basically sets `display: none;` on the modal), the video continues to play even though it is invisible. As you can imagine that is kind of a strange user experience. I'd like to be able to stop the playback when the user clicks the button that closes the modal. Is there any way I can do this? I guess I could do something like remove the video frame from the DOM altogether, but then I need to add it back if it's missing and I might run the risk of a condition where the modal loads without the video. It seems cleaner to just send a stop command to the video. Thanks! Jeremy
Learn how the new Quantization feature of BeatEdit for Premiere Pro and BeatEdit for After Effects makes your beat detection even more accurate. This feature is added in BeatEdit 2.1, which we published today, and it is available as a free update (for users of BeatEdit V2 for Premiere or BeatEdit for Ae). If you didn't hear about BeatEdit for Pr before - here is an overview:
Since Premiere 2021 has now been released, Premiere 2020 can no longer be updated at all on Mac OS High Sierra - even updates for 14.x that are compatible with High Sierra. Premiere 2020 14.0 was originally compatible with Mac OS High Sierra 10.13. Later updates for Premiere 2020, up to at least 14.5, continued to be compatible with High Sierra. But during the lifespan of Premiere 2020, apparently Adobe changed the OS requirements, so according to the current release notes versions of Premiere 2020 released after 01/01/2021 now apparently require Mac OS Mojave 10.14. It looks like the December 2020 version 14.7 should still be High Sierra compatible since it was released prior to that date, but I can't be sure. This seems to have now cut off High Sierra users from getting ANY updates to Premiere 2020. For example if you have Premiere 14.0 and want to update to Premiere 14.5 on High Sierra, you cannot do so through the usual means of updating through Creative Cloud. On High Si
OK, I am used to working on projects by myself and this the first time I have worked with an editor, so......... I have a friend that made a short film. He is doing the editing and coloring. I am doing the VFX. He works from his home and I work from mine. I am trying to figure out a workflow solution where when he gets an edit done at his house and then he can send me a file to work on the VFX. (He shot the footage in 4k S-Log.) Most of my VFX elements are files from places like Action VFX, or Video Copilot. (they are not in a log format) Does my friend need to color grade all the clips before he sends them to me? What is the best way to get just the clips that need VFX from his Premiere files at his house to after effects at my house? Is there a way to set up a color profile that we can both use so we are in the same space and he can then grade after VFX are done? What do I need to export out of AE so he can easily replace the clips in Premiere? And finally, if you know of any workflo

The American Cinema Editors announced the nominees for the 71st ACE Eddie Awards, which will be presented during a virtual ceremony on April 17 at 11 a.m. PT. 'Minari,' 'Trial of the Chicago 7' Among American Cinema Editors' Eddie Awards Nominees. Who will win at this years Eddie Awards for top editing for feature films? Read more here. Personally, I'm rooting for Kirk Baxter. I think "Mank" was a super cool film. I'm also rooting for Rob Komatsu for best editing for features presented on television. Rob is a colleague from Avid Boot Camp back in '97. He'd already assisted on "Twister" with Michael Kahn by then, an all film workflow. Go Rob!Which movies caught your eye as an editor in 2021? Let's hear from you. Mank and Adobe
I had the same problem as you have with Rush. I just uninstalled the programme and installed a programme that has the surname of a famous painter and the word resolve in the name. Haven't said it because I don't know the t&c's of this board so don't know if promoting non adobe products is allowed. However I used the free version and it seemed to be alot better than Rush in my opinion. Still love adobe for photoshop (not so much lightroom) but the Rush product is definitely lacking
As a someone who makes videos for a living, I love the level of innovation that the team at adobe is always working on. I love the constant new features being added to make my workflow faster and my editing experience intuitive and pleasant. I would trade all the new features from 2017 till today for a stable version of Premiere Pro. No amount of innovations can justify instability. I need to know when I hit render, why video will render all the way through. I have had to review my videos to ensure Premiere Pro did not render the frames in my video in the wrong order or that the video plays all the way to the end. For a "professional software" this is beyond unacceptable. I think I speak for most of the people here and say "We will never leave Premiere Pro for a missing cool feature here and there but, unreliability is a sure way to usher us out the door"
I know this probably isn't the best place to ask this question. But I'm just curious, what are most people's go to F Stops for different situations? (eg. F.8 for Wide) I'm doing some travel videography soon and I just wanted to build a better understanding around faster and more effient ways of shooting, without wasting too much time.
