Hi all, Does anyone know where I can buy JUST the little switch for the video mic pro? See attached photo. It came off and I lost it and I don't want to pay $200 for a brand new mircophone just to get a new switch. I thought eBay or Craigslist but I haven't found much. Thanks.

Hi,I've started working as a professional video editor a long time ago. I did Avid Media Composer, Avid Xpress, Media 100, Grass Valley Edius, Newtek SpeedEdit, Apple FinalCut Pro, you name it. I know most regedit/gfx optimisation/cache optimisation tricks. Now with Adobe I've started 23 years ago with Premiere 4.2. Yes, it was instable from time to time then. But! From all the systems, only Adobe Premiere remains unstable and crashing a lot, even now in 2019 with version 13.1.5. So please Adobe (this is the kind part). Don't come to me with some invalid reason that it has to do with the hardware. I use up-to-date professional HP/Dell/Asus equipment nowadays. I run different setups, but nothing special than your average user. I tweaked all settings on different systems. There's only one explanation, which I can trustfully conform and hopefully will be recognized by the complete user community: your software is written bad. I've been working for this company for about a year now. I do work all around the office and now we have a scheduled cycle of who's going to edit videos(since they taught me the basics) just to bring out some different twist on our YouTube channel. Here's a sample video that I worked on a while ago for your trolling pleasure. I want to know what other add-ons should we purchase to improve the quality of our content. I'd truly appreciate your feedback!

I do some filmhandling for small Film festivals.All these festivals encounter the same problem. Playing files of different framerates.You could use a mac, set the beamer or projector as second screen and use software to play the file. However this does work, you need to set the refreshrate on your mac either to 50 or 60 Hz. This also is the base of time. A 25 fps file plays fine at 50 Hz refreshrate and a 30 FPS fine on 60Hz.But no 24 fps plays ok neither does a 23,98 and a 29,97 FPS file.Also making cues is not always good, and adjusting the soundlevel per files is also hardly featured. Professional software is CueLab, but rather expensive and still not the right timing on the output. NEW MEDIA PLAYER WITH PREMIERE ENGINE?I would love to see timing of sourcefile on HDMI output, so never hickups in pans! The latest release is an insulting piece of software, clearly rushed out the door without any quality control or consideration for stability. It's unusable. I've downgraded to 2019 and began forcing myself to learn Resolve. It's utterly insulting how awful the 2020 release is. Shame on Adobe.

I've been a Adobe user for as long as I can remember, so naturally I get the general negative experience using the Creative Cloud software. But I am TRULY floored with just how unstable and generally unusable the latest Premiere Pro release is. It's by far the worst thing to come out of the company for decades. It's crashes CONSTANTLY and is an abysmal piece of software. How could anyone be allowed to ship this.  As much as I truly hate to learn a new product, I will be forced to dive deeper into Resolve. 

Hey there, I'm in my mid-50s. I'm pretty old school in the editing game, as are some on this board. As I was writing about my past experience in a post, I decided to put my thoughts down here instead.    Moviola I was talking to Walter Murch over lunch one day (great day!) and he remarked that he was only a handful of people in the entire world that still knows how to cut on Moviola.    As an aside, I just hosted a SF Cutters User Group meeting where Janice Engel was also talking about cutting celluloid on Moviola. She did this little "toe tap" kind of motion or dance. You could tell this was ingrained into her rote memory, as it is in Walter's.    I know that Walter is somewhat interested in doing a short film or doc about those that are still alive that still have some connection to cutting on Moviola. Sounds cool to me! I wonder how many folks reading this post ever cut on a Moviola or Steenbeck?   Super 8mm The first film I got to cut was in junio

Stability has never been a mainstay of CC but honestly, the latest Premiere Pro update (OS X) in conjunction with the past few years of miserable problems has me looking at FCP-X, Resolve and other solutions for our Production Company - and you can bet I'll cancel my CC membership if and when we do jump ship.  SO — TIRED OF SLOW CRASHING PREMIERE UNDER OSX.Yeah...not posting specs etc because I'm done investing hours into documenting issues that will either be ignored or have changed by the next software release.  Adobe - (or at least other OS X Premiere users) YOU know what you (Adobe) did 😕😕Mod Note: Warning. YES , i can totally feel and understand your pain. I'm just back from work where I, again in vain, tried to get the CC20 at least semistable to work. Our machines are even on a higher level then yours , but ...no way to get any windowsversion to playback stable without stutters a.s.o. (interesting fact: the OSX-version runs really good now ...just sitting in front of one) Using JKL causes reproducable freezing videooverlays or super jerky playback. And you forgot to mention the most hated issue ...the subscription model ... that , in combination with this totally broken software since 2 years now (since 12.1) , and the behaviour of this only profit driven company was clearly too much for us.   And here is the good part . We / I am in a way more covenient position right now. We quitted / I Left ! (my current investigations are only for technical reasons) We changed everything , and every plan to another product. We are independend from subscriptions and whimsies of salespeople , in
