I think I’m going to leave Adobe also. I’ve wasted a lot of money to be dealing with issues like this and to have no help or solution from Adobe is just unprofessional and ridiculous. I would rather spend my money one time with a software that updates properl.
If you watch any Amazon commercial, when the person says "Alexa", the Echo doesn't react to it. Other commercials also keep the activation keyword from starting.More over, I've started to notice some news shows also skirting a response from Echo when Alexa is said. At first I thought it was a database somewhere that wouldn't allow, but the blue light doesn't even activate to send data. There has to be an audio fix that allows the Echo or Fire device from activating. Does anyone know how they do it?
Y'know, I really wish the high school kids had chosen an application like Apple Motion to make their lame-ass visualizers and YouTube intros. Life around here would be a lot simpler and mush less tedious.Besides, you buy Motion just once and you're done. You don't have to pay rent on it every month.
I'm searching for something that moves along really quickly, that gives a sense of having to rush quickly.I have some example songs, and I'd use these, but I can't seem to get a license for either of them. One of them is a remix of an existing song so I doubtI could for that one. For the video/animation I'm trying to make, it would most likely require music like this. Any help would be appreciated.Mosaïque by Rébecca Missillier | Free Listening on SoundCloud【FREE DL】The Jazz Police - ULTRA SUPER EDM REMIX by namiheitai | Free Listening on SoundCloud«Prestissimo!» by Rébecca Missillier | Free Listening on SoundCloud
I can handle some crashing, a sudden shut down, once, twice, even three times, four times, but ALL the time EVERY time after every update?!!!!!I am a post-production talent and it's my job to deal with stress concerning deadlines but to add Adobe to the disadvantages, that is enough! From Titling errors, to morph cut errors, to "exporting" errors, trying to figure out why, going back to the original files, looking up the glitch, I mean come on!!!! If there is anyone out there who gets me, have you tried HitFilm Pro? Is it as good as Premiere Pro and After Effects combined? What other software apps could I dive in and get the ocean of plugs I have for Pr and Ae?Guess I should stop teaching Adobe at uni and paying to Adobe every f%$#@ month.Cheers guys!Joe
The latest update for Premiere/AE/ et al has caused non-stop delays. Projects are unlinking media constantly. Nothing will render. When I try to close my Premiere projects, I get the circle of death AND NO CHANGES ARE SAVED. I can't render anything (render bar sits there at 5% - all night), I can't edit previously working just fine projects - nothing. I have cleared the cache, cleared memory, rebooted, saved projects under new names - all the usual excuse Adobe programmers give for NOT DOING THEIR JOB. I need to bill Adobe for all my lost time. Who do I send the invoice to? I. Have. Had. It. I'm buying FCP and any other program that is NOT Adobe.
Absolutely ridiculous to have to waste so much time troubleshooting problems with software we pay a perpetual subscription for. Completely unacceptable. Surprised no one has ever pointed out how buggy this software is. I will be producing a video to detail all of the issues so that people can make an informed decision when signing up for what is otherwise a great program. I just wish I knew how buggy it was.
I have the same problem and posted all the crash logs to Adobe since 3 weeks, but nothing happens. Now I try Resolve, because the work with PPro is not possible.
When I start Premiere Pro, I really enjoy the two separate start menu pop ups. This second one is a vast improvement in slowing me down over just one like before. I find if I am presented with more than two choices I get scared and confused. I like how redundant and remedial it feels. I before I could never find the "file" dropdown and would just stare at the interface for hours wondering what to do. Now I feel so cuddled that I just want to give Adobe my bank info and let them have it all. Here's hoping the trend towards a less professional product continues to the point where the shows edit themselves and I can just play minesweeper all day. What do you think?
Same here. Waiting for fix is costing me money since I can't use it but the clock is ticking against my yearly fee. Program is a total waste of money if I can't even load a video. This is ridiculous, Adobe!!!
Hello,Why this software is named "Premiere"Premiere is a french word, and this software was not created in France
Im in the Uk and to go with the video editing Im going to need a greenscreen set up and half decent camera for things like you tube videos etc.Now what Im seeing is a lot of kits with fram for green screen, a green sheet, possibly white and black as well and some softbox /and or umbrella reflection lights,2 of these or possible a third over head one.example on amazon.CRAPHY 2000W Photo Studio Softbox Continuous Video: Amazon.co.uk: Camera & Photo Excelvan Studio Continuous Lighting Kit Softbox Kit: Amazon.co.uk: Camera & Photo https://www.amazon.co.uk/PIXAPRO%C2%AE-Background-Reversible-Photography-Registered/dp/B018EB5S1M/ref=sr_1_1?s=electroni… But then if I look on a camera specialist site what looks like the same things are 10 times the pricehttps://www.essentialphoto.co.uk/product/pixapro-6800w-4-softbox-kit-with-3x6m-chroma-key-green-drop-and-telescopic-stan… Fovitec - 3000W Continuous Lighting Softbox Kit with 3m: Amazon.co.uk: Camera & Photo Whats the differences an
Looks like you've got the resolve in the upper left corner.
How has this NOT been at the top of Adobe's to do lists? Super frustrating!
LoveWell Creative already said this, but download DaVinci Resolve 15 beta (Free Version) import your mov and export to whatever you want.ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE IS RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED ESPECIALLY FOR THE AMOUNT OF CRASHES, SYNCED FONTS BECOMING UNSYNCED, CRAP LIKE THIS MOV PROBLEM ETC ETC ETC EVERY DAMN TIME I USE PREMIERE AND THEIR PRODUCTS. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS AND THEY OFFER LITTLE TO NO HELP WITH ISSUES LIKE THIS. I THOUGHT MAYBE THEY WOULD EVENTUALLY GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER BUT AFTER 3 YEARS AND PROBLEM AFTER PROBLEM, I WILL BE CANCELING MY ACCOUNT AS SOON AS I AM DONE WITH THIS CURRENT PROJECT AND MOVING OVER TO DAVINCI...WHICH IS FREE AND YOU CAN DO GRAPHICS, AUDIO, AND COLOR CORRECTION IN THE SAME PROGRAM WITHOUT HAVING TO SWITCH BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN AFTER EFFECTS AND AUDITION.
Hi, I would like to start a discussion about the keyboard shortcuts. As an editor for more than 20 years I am a little bit disorientated to look at the amount of text that is coming up when I enter the Keyboardshortcuts. Why arn´t we using the same "name convention" in the software itself? Why are we working with symbols, when the keyboard does not show these symbols? What are symbols good for? Are we editing Text like a copywriter? Why do Textprogramms also work with symbols? And WHY can´t I choose between text and symbols? Its very hard to tell what it what? And even harder to remember. What about color? Why do we use "RED" Light for a traffic light to stop people from dying? I would love to have more symbols and more color! Say "Yes" to symbols () and say "YES" to color. What about "you" . Is there a secret that you keep for yourself? How do you remember those great "text shortcuts"Maybe it´s because I am old? But in the end everybody gets older. And maybe , they need glasses. So ma
For the first time in my 20-year career, I have a client wanting to own the copyright for the animated video I've made him.I told him I am happy to give him copyright for the video, but now he's saying that he also needs a list of all the software I've used to make the video. Apparently he was advised by the FSB that any legal copyright form needs to contain a list of all the software involved.Obviously, I've used Adobe software, but plenty of other software too. I don't really see that as any of the client's business. Surely it has no relevance to the copyright of the final video, any more than the type of pencil I used to draw the characters - or the light bulb I used to see the sketch pad.Do I need to declare what software I've used, just to transfer copyright of the final video over to my client?
Premiere has been out long enough that BASIC editing tools should and can be updated.Final Cut and Avid both dinosaurs at this point are far better when working in intense editing projects. Here's an example = grouped clips -- WE STILL can't match back to your new merged clip? How many years have we all been writing in asking for this?(personally, me, 3 years)It's not like that's hard code to write - Avid did it, Final Cut did it. Yes, yes, I understand it creates a new clip - so do the other programs, that's no excuse.Oh and "Show Original" function ?.... Almost always greyed out. I highly recommend someone at Adobe to kindly run their next release with a professional editor and see your limitations before you release another bug-ridden update. Oh and you should go to jail for releasing PP2018 touting the fact we can finally "share bins".It doesn't work, it corrupts your project and NO ONE USES IT in the professional world. How do you have the
It's a well-known bug -- one of countless many in 2018. adobe admits it -- so anyone that tells you differently doesn't know better. They sold the whole 2018 program around a feature that would mimic an Avid in "Sharing bins" -- also doesn't work. They don't give a — about professional editors - they figure enough people will buy it anyways - that's why they haven't fixed ANY of the bugs yet. AAF bug? nope. Many hotkey functions disabled now? yep still a problem. Adobe could give two —. Moderator note: Please. No profanity is allowed. RANT WARNINGIn the absence of an Acrobat Forum of any worth...I post here where there is at least a semblance of a pulse..How does one stop Windows bloody 10 from constantly and regularly associating pdfs with Windows bloody Edge?I just want the .pdf association to stay with Acrobat DC (from my Cloud Subscription) but every Windows bloody 10 update changes it to Edge.Must have changed this about 10 times now at least.Does anyone even use Edge for anything!
I've been using Premiere since 1991 so I do have a history with the product. But I've not used it exclusively. Avid, Media100, FinalCut, and Resolve has all been part of my career. And, yes, I'd certainly be interested in a highly specific and optimized premiere "PROFESSIONAL WORKSTATION" version. Charge me $2K for it and call it a day. Make a non-bloated version that demands an exact itemized list of PC hardware components.Heck, partner with HP and sell 1 single machine if you have to! --Also have software updates that are never released half-baked.Have it be so ridiculously exclusive it's built on their own tightly controlled version of LINUX. Whatever works! Just strip the code down. Hit the reset button and make a solid lean and mean beast of an editing platform.Personally, I like the PP user interface and how it does things. The legacy of that style of editing appeals to me. However, I'm not enamored that the app always feels lik
Found a great solution to this finally. DaVinci Resolve. No hate, but it seriously does what professionals need it to. PP seems way more consumer and unstable in comparison. Flame away - just putting it out there.
BTWI am absolutely convinced that Adobe created crap with this release. They have done ggod work all the time. But v 13.0 is their Halloween release.
Do yourself a favour and learn Davinci Resolve. I have a Mac Pro 2013 6-core with 32gb of RAM and Dual D300's. I got some ProRes Footage in Premiere Pro and Davinci. Same LUT, same footage, same export settings. Premiere Pro - 12mins. Davinci - 3.5mins.The issue is Adobe has awful coding and as long as people keep paying their prices, they won't ever change it. Vote with your wallet. Once you learn Davinci you'll realise it does the exact same thing, better and for free. It is really a no brainer.A friend of mine used to work for the BBC and said they use Davinci, they trialled Premiere but the performance was so awful they dropped it in a matter of weeks. That should tell you enough.Adobe - enough of this "try this, trash your prefs". Just accept that the fact your code needs trashing. You are slow to update your software. It is not optimised at all and it runs like an old donkey. CC 2018 is exactly the same...woeful.Ps. I am not actually an Adobe hater as my post would seem. I
"Adobe's priorities are so detached from functional requirements of working editors that the word "pro" should be removed from the product name."As a professional editor for going on 20 years now, I've seen some ups and downs and changes in the technology, but I cannot fathom how adobe continues to advertise premiere as a professional grade product. It simply is not. I have not met another editor who believes that this program even approaches the avid mc's of 10 years ago with regard to just making basic edits without crashing.
