Well…thank you again Adobe. First we build solutions with Adobe Edge Animate…and you say: "nah, we're not doing this anymore". No you are doing the same with Muse. Thousands (probably more) of companies, like my own, are developing solutions for their clients with Muse…but you don't care…you just pull the plug and move on...and don't give a s#€t. I wish there was a way to make you responsible, financially, but I'm sure there isn't. All those projects like XD, Dimensions (btw a big joke), Portfolio, Spark, etc... Just drop it. There is now way in hell that I, and I hope more people than I reason like I do, will try any of your idiot projects, that's just risking my reputation. What you don't understand, or perhaps just don't care about, is that we create promises to our customers based on what you promise your tools can create. With Edge I had 20+ app solutions delivered to a big industrial company, with a yearly revenue of more that 10 billion euros per year, I could do nothing m
I did tweet a few times, but there was no reaction at all...
This is very a very disappointing move on adobe's part, and continues to exemplify the disturbing trend adobe has adopted of simply removing features, leaving professional users with little to no alternative options. Adobe recently pulled a similar move by no longer allowing a direct link to adobe speed grade from the newer versions of premier pro. It would be one thing if speedgrade had been integrated into premier pro, but it was not, and the color correction tools offered as an alternative did not provide the same level of precision and control. So now that story is dead here is my question; Why should I continue to spend a good chunk of money paying adobe every month, when the services I rely on to run my business are slowly being whittled away? Also it's not like it's getting any cheaper. The value this company is offering seems to be steadily dropping, and focusing more on the social media content producers, rather than the professionals. So what assurance do I have that you guys

No need to sell your PC, install Da Vince (free!) and be happy ... I should have accepted this suggestion before, because I'm working without any major difficulties in adapting to the settings!
Isn't paying $50.00 a month enough to have software that actually works they way it should? I have made several bug reports about the mask and matte problems yet they are still there. Masks and mattes are important. The videos show the problem plain as day. CC just introduces more and more bugs. With the amount of CC users the price should have dropped to $30.00 a month. Is Adobe concerned about having a good product or are they only concerned about profits? As a CC user I am a dissatisfied with what I see from Adobe over the past few years. Please Adobe get rid of the bugs. If you have to scrap the Mercury Playback engine than please do so because it does not work (It did work with PP CS 5.5). It would be nice if Adobe could let me know if they plan on fixing all the bugs or not. If they are not going to fix the bugs I can cancel my CC subscription ASAP. https://youtu.be/1mJnLnyACoghttps://youtu.be/b-vJL8b6cOMPremiere Pro CC track matte issues - YouTube
Hi......could I ask those of you who contributed to this thread to consider adding a comment in support of keeping Adobe Story going on the following thread? The hope would be that if enough people contributed Adobe may listen. If you know of others who use Adobe Story perhaps you could pass the link on and invite them to make a comment. We are also hoping that Story could be developed further to the same standard as Adobe Story Classic.Story Discontinued... ThanksBill
I have download the free version of DaVinci Resolve 14 to compare it to Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018. The main feature missing for me is the ability to List View Sort. When I have many video clips, I need this feature. There are also many features that Resolve does not have. Perhaps, the $299 program has more of the features of Premiere. Jim Simon, a long time contributor to this forum has switched to Resolve. Sorry to see him go.
I understand the anger & frustration. But realistically, there were two companies and obviously lawyers involved. Remember, Adobe didn't own the 'tech' for reading/processing ac3 files, Dolby Laboratories did. It's been rather past annoying especially as there's been so little effective assistance from Adobe on how to navigate this problem.I've met a few of the Adobe staffers at both NAB & MAX ... and they won't say a word, hint at nothing, nor respond in any way on this. Not a wink, shake, shrug ... nothing. Never seen them so uncommunicative on something. So ... at that point, it's clearly become a lawyering issue. Which means us users are just standing here. The staffers "standing" over there. And they aren't allowed to talk with us.Nope ... not good. But also clearly, not a choice of the product teams.Neil
stevedross wroteI guess I'm looking for some finality before I request a refund from my vendor.I dont blame you... we have been SCREAMING at Adobe on this issue for months now and they are clearly not giving two hoots. Ask for your money back and I would try the free copy of HitMovie because Adobe are ruining stuff and charging more for ruined stuff... Reeks of Apple behavior.
Adobe's customer service is a joke. I love the way they blame other people for issues with there software and it's support for Dolby. For them it's not about providing upgrades; it about downgrades that save them money and installing spyware on your machine. I can't believe they will not let anyone reinstall the versions of there software that actually work. They need to own up and do the right thing.
I'm a IT Systems Admin for a large hospital network with over 40,000 workstations. Adobe has literally exhausted me to the point I'm thinking about perusing another career! I'm not going to put a bunch of specifics up here because I'm weak and out of energy now. Dealing with situation after situation for months non stop with these CC products has become unbearable. Before the role out from CS6 to CC I would get the rare call here and there but now its become my life. Constant limitless problems every single damn day with this software. I'm done I want out - Its to much and not worth having a heart attack over. In fact I'm going to put my two weeks notice in right now. Screw this crap...
Isn't it crazy....You can buy HitFilmPro for $299 (on special) and it includes the plugin to read AC3 audio for all your Consumer cameras.HitFilm allows you to do what PPro and AE do all in the same app.Even Resolve & Fusion is a better alternative.I am glad this misery is almost over for meJust a littler while and I will be done with Adobe!!This is ridiculous to be held in bondage to buggy software and poor PR & support. It just ain't worth the hassles to endure because of poor decisions by Adobe.
Its all a joke. Adobe are taking the proverbial... I cancelled my account with them and now am using an old copy of premiere which I dont have to pay for. I dont like being fleeced in Adobes price rise crap WHEN THEY ARE REMOVING FUNCTIONS FROM THEIR SOFTWARE!!!!!
We switched to DaVinci Resolve now too. It´s not perfect but very cool. Cost just 300 Bucks. Fast Updates. Good Support.
Oops!... I Did It Again... (by Adobe Spears)Our "beloved" Adobe did it again. Like always, taking it's right to manage our life. I curse the day I opted for CC insted of buying discounted CS6. This is living hell. So many years of constant changes, numerosu broken worklflows, updating filters which worked just ok before, days combined of searching help for uknown behaviour of programs, inventing the whell for workarounds, ... well - thank you GREEDY Adobe. Before CC you have to pay fee to Dolby per each licence (of Premiere) sold and collect money for that licence only once. So you had to be profitable on each sell. But now you collect money EACH MONTH for very same software... and it is still not enough? Billions of income is not enough to pay pennies per user to Dolby? This is pure nonchalance toward long term users. But let's facit... each time we update, we KNOW something will be broken, we just do not know what, since they do not document. We know it will be some new bugs introduced
Back around 2003 when I first started using Premiere, I had problems because we used a Matrox hardware/software product with it. I had a new computer built for my employer a year ago and have used mostly Premiere and Photoshop. I can't recall any problems at all. The Creative Cloud interface seemed very convoluted but once everything was up and running the programs worked great for us. A lot of what I do is shot on green screen and Ultra is great. With lighting adjustments I have been getting amazing keys where you really can't tell it's green screen. Not saying you are having problems because you're doing something wrong, but after working years in corporate video production, I finally arrived at having a relatively a stable workflow. Beginning around 2003 we mostly did video for live projected presentations. Wasn't even 720. Amazing how things have progressed. My Galaxy S5 shoots better video than our $7,000 camera back then. I would be interested in hearing from some of you guys hav
I am no longer shocked at how poorly Adobe implements new features. I am still shocked at how bad they are at listening to feedback though. It's really bad when people beg for a feature for years, and then when you finally implement it, it's so terrible that people beg you to let them turn it off!Best way to handle it going forward is to call all new releases BETA and issue a warning that it will likely cause you headaches and cost you time you will never get back to install it.
I think the Adobe forums are the least intuitive I have ever used. Does anyone else feel the same way? I only post here about 3 to 4 times a year because the forums have a funky GUI. If the GUI I was better I would hang around more. I still don't know how to scroll back to post from several days ago. Can some one clue me in? I took me a while to figure out you have to go to actions to create a new post. It seems like there should be an easier way.[text edited by mod]
If SureCode costs more than you want to pay to handle AC3 (Dolby)... you have choicesThere are still NLE's that still support AC3/AVD- PowerDirector Supports DD (AC3/AVD)- VideoStudio Supports DD (AC3/AVD)- Pinacle Supports DD (AC3/AVD)- HitFilm Express allows DD (AC3/AVD) with $10 plugin (included in the Pro Version)Why pay so much money for a DD License when you can get it cheaper.Or you can use Hand-drake... which adds more workflow issues. This way you can still use PPro, AE & AudI am glad I dumped this Subscription.I mainly use PowerDirector, Hitfilm and Divanci Resolve.

I think you're partially right Jim..Because nowadays "Creative Cloud Desktop apps" It's not marketed, advertised, targeted. like "Creative Suite Master Collection" was.Now It's like You can do anything you want in a few clicks anywhere, now It's promoted as everyone and anyone apps bundle to have as standard, from pros to first timers, to use professionally or for fun.So, the more Its presented as "also" as for everyone, all levels, the more It has to be mindless to deal with technical issues, if the person don't know how to use all resources, ok. But that same person doesn't need to know nothing about technical issues at all. Here is a little chat a friend of mine (highlighted yellow) did upon my request, with adobe creative cloud sales advisor (highlighted pink)Hi, may I have your first name please? Fe.....p Greetings Fe.....p It's my pleasure to have you on this chat. How may I assist you today? I have a nephew , he's 14 and likes images, color, clips.. hes always filming
Every one of these workarounds defeat the purpose of subscription based software. When Adobe pushes out updates, it’s supposed to benefit users with new features and improved performance; not disable our workflow and interrupt productivity.I believe Adobe owes us a permanent solution. I for one will be calling Adobe support today to resolve my issues with Premiere 2018. I have the latest MAC OS, and with everything I’ve read Dolby support should be provided by the OS.Stay tuned.Paul Miller
I think its bad business you all are doing to people who buy your software and can no longer use it unless we give you half of our jobs each time we need to do our projects . I have to learn how to use final cut or Vegas or avid because there is no monthly cost. I have perfected your software after everyone in my field was saying don't use it because its no good. and they are right. for 3 years I would brag about it . and I have to purchase another software and do a movie with someone else's software. this is a big unconvinced for me. but you don't care about the little man only the big million dollar companies. well I am not MGM nor CBS even though I have worked with networks like them. thank you for being so greedy. signed so disappointed.@
