Request for Highlight Privacy Feature
Dear Adobe Acrobat App Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I want to express my appreciation for this app, as it has become my go-to for everything, especially reading books and documents. Its ease and simplicity make it my default choice, and I truly enjoy using it.
However, I’ve encountered a recent issue that I’d like to address. While using the app for a class document, I noticed that I was seeing highlights from other users and, unfortunately, they could also see mine. Even more concerning was the discovery that all my personal highlights had disappeared. After trying several solutions, I suspect another user may have deleted them. This was particularly frustrating, as I had put a lot of effort into marking key sections for my study.
I’ve noticed that the app offers the option to remove other users' highlights, which leads me to my suggestion: could you please consider adding a feature that allows users to keep their highlights private by default? Ideally, only the user should see their highlights unless they choose to share them with others through a specific prompt or permission setting.
I understand this may not be an issue for all users, but for someone like me, who heavily relies on highlights for study and reference, losing them can be disheartening. I’d deeply appreciate this added level of control over my personal notes and highlights.
