Question

Saving Files after Edit

If a pdf file is saved on a folder that I created, when I open that file for editing (highlight, add note, underline, etc.) the file gets saved in the Downloads folder automatically with the number (1). It doesn't get saved in the original folder. Also, if later I open that same file from the Downloads folder and edit it, it gets saved in the Downloads folder itself, but with the number (1)(1). I have to constantly delete previous versions of the pdf file and rename it removing the (1), (1)(1), etc. Please help me save the file in the original folder itself.

Hi @D21785708zufy,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader Mobile.

Just trying to understand the situation. Are you using OnePlus or any of its subsidiary company devices?

The reason for asking this: OnePlus and its subsidiaries use their own skin on the stock Android OS, and the file manager app that they use, do not allow read/write permissions directly on the files.

Even if you allow permissions for folder access, the only permission the UI allows is read. This is a reason why there are duplicates created every time you attempt to edit a document.

If this is not the situation in your case, would you mind sharing a few pieces of information for further investigation:

1. The app version of Acrobat you use (go to Profile-> About Acrobat);

2. The device make and model

3. The Android version of your device;

4. A screen recording video of the entire event.

Hope this helps.

I am using a One Plus phone. Is there any way this issue could be resolved in a One Plus device?
