Hi, I am not sure the best way to approach this or if it's possible. I am looking for a way to auto generate a letter based on the selections in a pdf form (the fillable form is already created)The problem is that based on the form selections the paragraphs can be all different sizes making it hard to format. Currently I have multiple text boxes with custom calculation scripts in all of them so the text boxes auto populate with the proper paragraph (based on check boxes and dropdowns) but this method does not seem that efficient. After the form is completed all of the text boxes are filled in with the correct paragraph but I am then exporting it to a word document and formatting the whole letter which is a challenge at times (depending on how it exported). I have to format line spaces, indentations, and margins (basically all basic layout formatting).Is there a better way out there ? The goal is to fill out the form and have the entire letter auto generate and just

Hi I have a form where I want to pre-fill the e-mail field based on firstname and lastname fields. I developed a PDF form using Javascript for field validation and digital signature after filling. We found a security problem after signing. My form: Ficha Cadastral 26.02.2020 Filled Form.pdf I coded an onSign_pf script: by signing the document, all filled fields are visible and all fields become read-only. Problems: some important fields, remain clickable after signing, using Acrobat Pro or Reader, Windows (10 or 7).These fields have scripts that reset some fields and/or show/hide some other fields.When they remain clickable after the subscription, the information filled in by the customer will be lost. On Mac everything works correctly (with Adobe Reader or Professional): after signing all fields are correctly read-only -  cannot be edited or checked. My idea for solve this: create a button (you will see the new gray button called pf.validarinformacoes) that will serve for the person to review the information before signing (Wha

I want to know if there's a way to fill out a separate form depending on what boxes I check on the first 2 forms. Like if I click on check box 1, 3, and 5, then it'll fill out fields in 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a, and 3b in the last form. Just the same, reverse if the boxes are unclicked. Also, after you unclick them and click on 2 and 3, then it'll fill out 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a, and 3b. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hello experts, I come to you with a very beginner-level question. I have two dropdown menus, Dropdown1 and Dropdown2. I would like to make it so when a choice is selected from Dropdown1, the choices available in Dropdown2 will change based on the export value of the choice in Dropdown1. For example, my Dropdown1 has the following choices and export values: (Choice1, a) & (Choice2, b). If Choice1 (a) is selected, the choices from Dropdown2 should be a, b, or c. If Choice2 (b) is selected, the choices from Dropdown2 should be d, e, or f. I found some possible solutions online using the event.willCommit method, but I can't get this to work with the export values of my choices. When Choice1 is selected from Dropdown1, the choices in Dropdown2 are not updated. It's only when I select Choice2 that Dropdown2 is populated with a, b, & c. Hi! I need to create a program, script or something similar to be able to fill many PDF files form fields on Windows.Text fields are very easy to manage in many languages, instead an image field is more complicated when you need to put inside a PDF file and not an image (PNG, JPG and so on). I tried many third party libraries without success. How can I achieve this? I can use vbs or other programming languages without problems. What I searching is an hint and some examples to find the right solution.  Thank you.

Prefacing with the fact that I know next to nothing about javascript programming, but I'm curious if what we're trying to accomplish is possible with it. I have a single page PDF on a file server that is printed repeatedly throughout the day at varying quantities (usually less than 100 copies).  I know I can inset Bates numbering, but that seems to only number the page itself, not any copies. I pretty certain I can use js to generate a random number when the document opens and add it to the PDF, but could I extend that idea and add numbers sequentially to the number of copies being made?

Hello, There is issue with 3D in PDF become gray screen.When opening file if Adobe is not started, screen 3D area becomes gray and doing any action returns it to normal. If Adobe is already started and then opening file, that issue won't happen.What is cause of this and how to bypass it or remove? Tried some examples of 3D PDFs, they either had some refresh after gray screen appears or mouse movement would remove it. Also one did not have that issue.

I have a lot of PDF files with countless free text annotation. I try to use Javascript to batch modify the format of the annotation to make it bold and set the font to Times New Roman. At some point, I need to delete the created annotation. In this case, I would like to delete the Popup annotation associated with the Highlight annotation. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro XI.  How do I make the cursor appear in the first form field when the document is opened?

We recently upgrated our PCs and when we re-installed Adobe onto them, our default pathways have changed.  Previously when we wrote a PDF, it automatically saved the file into the the folder it was written from.  Now it defaults ALL of the PDFs into the same folder. We were using Windows 7, Chemstation Software,  and Adobe 9.  Now were are using Windows 10 and the Adobe, Chemstation software is the same.  I have downloaded a trial of 2017 Pro and am still having the same issues.   I know how to change the default save settings to put data into a specific folder,  but having to change the pathway for every piece of data we run will take forever.  Is there a custom tool or something I can add to do this for me?

I'm using Acrobat Pro DC and I'm somewhere between Novice and Amateur user level with JS. 🙂 I'm creating a form with a dropdown list that I would like to trigger whether or not specific other fields are displayed or hidden to the user based on the choice. I've found similar situations in other cases, but nothing that quite fits what I'm trying. I have used the following successfully, but I'm trying to find a faster way to reference the common fields that will be hidden or displayed based on the selection....especially as I'm looking at adding more as the form develops. Hi, I'm currently using a scripted button in a PDF to load an avatar image as button icon. That's for an RPG character sheet, for what it matters.I'd like to use the same (or similar) method in a different layout with a circular character portrait. I know buttos are meant to be square. Is there a way to make the button look circular by masking it, applying styles or such?It looks like form elements in pdf are always in foreground.Thanks for any help/hack as creative and unconventional as it takes.

Hi, How can I make a text field visible based on a check box selection ?
