[Moderator moved from Adobe Portfolio to Creating PDFs.]Hello,I have a 14 page fillable PDF form with a few text boxes that are repeated on just about every page e.g. student name, date of birth, etc.  I now need to separate this form into single pages but I still want the text fields to link to each other, so the student name or date of birth only has to be entered once.  Is there a way to do that?  Can it be done in a PDF Portfolio?

Good morning,This is not specific to Acrobat. We use Acrobat, primarily, and there are a lot of PDF experts here so I figured that maybe someone would know of a place I could turn to. The forums specific to Ghostscript have been closed down and the other forums I've seen via Google search were circa 2007 or so. I've tried asking this in the Stack Overflow discussions but haven't had any luck so far.We print Postscript files directly on industrial Xerox printers.One client's Postscript files were getting garbled when printing due to a font issue that I was unable to track down, so I used Adobe's Distiller to convert from PS to PDF. The same font issues turned up in the PDFs that were generated from Distiller. Hi, I’ve created a business card template in Acrobat Pro and our logo colors are used in the executive business cards.The employee name is in a burgundy color: RGB = 179, 15, 65The remaining text is in a dark green color: RGB = 0, 56 34My coding for the employee name is below. The third spans line is my attempt at changing the text color. Something is wrong because the text looks like a florescent teal. Anyone have a javascript code that will attach an email as normal (via the email button) and add the subject line as the filename?  I would like this to be a button on the toolbar.  I'm using acrobat 9.  Thanks!

Hello,I'm creating a form in which if someone fills out the bill to section of the form and checks our "Same As  Bill To" check box, then all the rest of the fields will auto populate. I just received notice that Java will no longer be available to the consumer after 2020.  Will Adobe Acrobat Pro DC still work without it?  I don't know what Java does and need to know if I can just delete it.

When I convert a Word to a PDF I would like to have JavaScript added automatically. The functionality like inks etc being kept during the conversation is very limited. Currently I need to add functionality to the PDF by means of JavaScrip manually to allow e.g. jumps to attached documents. Is there any posibitly to automate that?

Hello,I am new to using an editable PDF form and want to use one for my lab class.  I am able to create the form and I would like to put a check box in place, so that only I can access with a password to indicate that the student has completed that particular portion of the lab.  I understand that you would need a java script, but I have no idea of how to create this script.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi All,A 1st timer here,...I have Acrobat Std 7.0 & recently needed to wipe & re-install my computer, I'd obviously had at some stage run the updates in the previous installation of Acrobat, but when I went to use the program since installing it noticed the Typewriter Tool was missing.I have learned that this was included in the 7.05 patch, but I am having difficulty locating this update.The Adobe ID page only includes the original release 7.0.0, with no links to incremental updates,..I've tried to run the "Check for updates now...", but it says no updates are currently available.Can anyone help.Thanks

I have a form that has 5 different radio button options.  The group name is Unauthorized Debit.  Each radio button has a unique export value, i.e. button 1 is value 1, button 2 is value 2, button 3 is value 3, button 4 is value 4 and button 5 is value 5.Each of these radio buttons has a text field in the sentence they are attached to that i want to populate ONLY if that sentences radio button is selected.  I have written a script to do this, and it populates when i select an option, HOWEVER, if the user decides that they didn't want to click that radio button and they select a different one, the previous selections text field stays populated, even though a new selection has been made.This is the script I added to each radio button.  The getField changes in each, button 1 has a field that is just COMPANY NAME, the below example is for button 2, and so on for buttons 3 (COMPANY NAME_3), 4 (COMPANY NAME_4) and 5 (COMPANY NAME_5).  I cannot find anything on how to

Hi I am trying to compile the c++ samples from the Acrobat SDK in Xcode on a Mac and I get several warnings from Xcode like: "Possible misuse of comma operator here" and also "Non-portable path to file '".."'; specified path differs in case from file name on disk". Looks like the SDK has not been updated to deal with changes in Xcode for a long time. Anybody else who have experienced this?

Hi,I need to execute a folder level javascript in Acrobat Pro DC (Version 2019.008.20071) which was accessible in Acrobat Pro XI through the Add-on tools menu item and worked just fine. Unfortunately I am missing the Add-on tools menu item in Acrobat Pro DC.Does anyone know how to use folder level javascript in Acrobat DC via a custom toolbar button, like it was working before in Acrobat XI Pro?I tried both, installing the script in the user and app javascript folder of Acrobat DC.

Hi - i am trying to figure out how to generate PDF's on demand via an API call. I build a template and then populate it based on content I have generated with the users content. I would like to stay in the Adobe stack. Can i do it? What products do i need? I could do it in Webmerge or PDFGenerator (comments please) but would like to leverage DC and the design stack in Adobe. Can't see any info on this anywhere. Any pointers please?

!So, I'm trying to fill in a form I made with information in a txt file and then save it to one of a number of folders according to information in the form. I have a series of folders setup named after number ranges (i.e. 1-49, 50-99, 100-149, etc.) and some of the folders are preceded by the letter "z" because our numbering system for what we're tracking with these forms includes some names formatted with a Z at the end ( the people here before me kinda suck).The logic of the code I'm trying to correct is such (if you just want to see the code it's below):import text data within a while loop -> use indexOf to search the target field value for the letter Z -> use switch to setup 2 blocks of code, 1 for values that contain "z" and 1 for values without "z" -> determine which code block to run based on the "z"  -> use substr(0,3) to pull the first three characters from the value and use that in the code blocks to compare to our number ranges to see which range the number

I'm trying to create multiple pdfs from one base pdf using records from a database. I'm looking to do this from forms on a site, so I'm also hoping someone knows of a good service to use where this is possible. My first idea is to use AWS and see if I can get an instance setup with Acrobat in order to do this. I'm not quite sure if this is the route I should be going, so I'm open to any suggestions as well.

How would you auto-populate an image with the conditional of a text field if the images are on the same document?If you type A in text field 1 then an apple appears (image 1).  Is this possible?  How do I do this?Thank you!
