I used adobe acrobat pro to make a binder of duplicate forms and when open on my iPad using the reader app I can fill in the forms, but because the forms are all duplicates, all of the box names are the same, so each page comes out identical. I can't just rename the boxes because each form has over 200, and it would take forever since I have 10 of the forms in the binder. I tried creating a portfolio, which seems to have worked, but once i open it on the reader app, it says "modifying the document is not allowed because it is an attachment". Does anyone have a suggestion on how to either fix the binder so that all of the boxes are not named the same without manually changing the names individually, or a way to make the portfolio editable, and not viewed as an attachment?

I have pdf's from scanned documents. Most pages have size A4 (210x297mm). 'Document Properties' > 'Initial View' > 'Page layout' is set to 'Two-up' (Cover page)', so that always 2 pages will be showed side by side, like reading a book. Now, few pages have the double size, A3 (297x410mm). Viewing them, 'Page layout' should switch to 'Single sided'. Going back or forward to an A4 page, 'Page layout' should switch back to 'Two-up'.The only method I found for achieving this, was by adding an action to each page of the document. The trigger is 'Open page', the action 'javascript'. Depending on the page size:this.layout = "TwoPageRight";this.layout = "SinglePage";My quesion: How can I add such (identical) actions with (identical) javascript snippets conveniently for page x to y ? I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on Windows. I am looking to create a form for my office that does the following:Checkboxes for each the given rolesWhen a box is checked, insert the related text field into the document showing the related training (all in an obnoxiously long default text), shifting all text fields downWhen a box is unchecked, remove the related text field from the document, and shift all the fields underneath it up (this is not removed like deleted, just removed from view and printing)I have gotten the fields to be hidden when I uncheck the box, and show when I check the box. That was easy enough. However, the text fields are just hidden (not showing), not removed from the document structure (which makes sense but is not what I am looking to do). Pretty much, I want the fields to move up and down and all around as the boxes are checked and unchecked. I am relatively new to PDF programming, but not to programming overall. In this vein, I would like some help getting this

I have a large PDF file that contains data for invoices. I'm using a pdf splitter, but it will only split based on the number of pages of the invoice, so each invoice must be the same number of pages. Is there a way to scan through the pdf, looking for a specific word then count how many pages there are in each invoice looking for the invoice with the most number of pages and then add blank pages to the invoices that don't have meet that maximum?

I am new to this and have a question.I am populating a field value to a different field based on a checkbox value. Scenario - add a name in text field. Then if I check box A, the value from the text field populates a text field in section A.  If I check box B the value from the text field populates a text field in section B.  I can get the values to populate when I check the box, but how do I clear the value if I uncheck the box?  Thanks

[Moderator moved from Adobe Portfolio to Creating PDFs.]Hello,I have a 14 page fillable PDF form with a few text boxes that are repeated on just about every page e.g. student name, date of birth, etc.  I now need to separate this form into single pages but I still want the text fields to link to each other, so the student name or date of birth only has to be entered once.  Is there a way to do that?  Can it be done in a PDF Portfolio?

The forums specific to Ghostscript have been closed down and the other forums I've seen via Google search were circa 2007 or so. Hi, I’ve created a business card template in Acrobat Pro and our logo colors are used in the executive business cards.The employee name is in a burgundy color: RGB = 179, 15, 65The remaining text is in a dark green color: RGB = 0, 56 34My coding for the employee name is below. The third spans line is my attempt at changing the text color. Something is wrong because the text looks like a florescent teal. Hello,I'm creating a form in which if someone fills out the bill to section of the form and checks our "Same As  Bill To" check box, then all the rest of the fields will auto populate. I just received notice that Java will no longer be available to the consumer after 2020.  Will Adobe Acrobat Pro DC still work without it?  I don't know what Java does and need to know if I can just delete it.

When I convert a Word to a PDF I would like to have JavaScript added automatically. The functionality like inks etc being kept during the conversation is very limited. Currently I need to add functionality to the PDF by means of JavaScrip manually to allow e.g. jumps to attached documents. Is there any posibitly to automate that?

Hello,I am new to using an editable PDF form and want to use one for my lab class.  I am able to create the form and I would like to put a check box in place, so that only I can access with a password to indicate that the student has completed that particular portion of the lab.  I understand that you would need a java script, but I have no idea of how to create this script.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi All,A 1st timer here,...I have Acrobat Std 7.0 & recently needed to wipe & re-install my computer, I'd obviously had at some stage run the updates in the previous installation of Acrobat, but when I went to use the program since installing it noticed the Typewriter Tool was missing.I have learned that this was included in the 7.05 patch, but I am having difficulty locating this update.The Adobe ID page only includes the original release 7.0.0, with no links to incremental updates,..I've tried to run the "Check for updates now...", but it says no updates are currently available.Can anyone help.Thanks

I have a form that has 5 different radio button options.  The group name is Unauthorized Debit.  Each radio button has a unique export value, i.e. button 1 is value 1, button 2 is value 2, button 3 is value 3, button 4 is value 4 and button 5 is value 5.Each of these radio buttons has a text field in the sentence they are attached to that i want to populate ONLY if that sentences radio button is selected.  I have written a script to do this, and it populates when i select an option, HOWEVER, if the user decides that they didn't want to click that radio button and they select a different one, the previous selections text field stays populated, even though a new selection has been made.This is the script I added to each radio button.  The getField changes in each, button 1 has a field that is just COMPANY NAME, the below example is for button 2, and so on for buttons 3 (COMPANY NAME_3), 4 (COMPANY NAME_4) and 5 (COMPANY NAME_5).  I cannot find anything on how to

Hi I am trying to compile the c++ samples from the Acrobat SDK in Xcode on a Mac and I get several warnings from Xcode like: "Possible misuse of comma operator here" and also "Non-portable path to file '".."'; specified path differs in case from file name on disk". Looks like the SDK has not been updated to deal with changes in Xcode for a long time. Anybody else who have experienced this?

Hi,I need to execute a folder level javascript in Acrobat Pro DC (Version 2019.008.20071) which was accessible in Acrobat Pro XI through the Add-on tools menu item and worked just fine. Unfortunately I am missing the Add-on tools menu item in Acrobat Pro DC.Does anyone know how to use folder level javascript in Acrobat DC via a custom toolbar button, like it was working before in Acrobat XI Pro?I tried both, installing the script in the user and app javascript folder of Acrobat DC.
