Questions

I have a portfolio with several forms.  How do I make the portfolio link the required fields to mirror one text field?  For example, in all of the forms I'd like text fields "owner's_name" to all reflect the same entry.  The same goes for text fields "owner's_location" and "project_name".  Thanks in advance!

I would like to see if anyone is able to provide some assistance with configuring the Default State within the Layer Properties to always be "off".  I create PDF's from AutoCAD that contain several layers (more than 50) that I would like for them to initially be turned off and then have the option to turn them on one at a time.  Currently when I create the PDF's I manually go into the layer property for each layer and manually set the Default State to OFF.  However this is very time consuming and when modifications are needed to the project and new PDF's are created this process is started all over again.  Thus taking hours to perform a simple task.  I am hoping that there is someone that can provide some assistance with how to automate this simple task or maybe there is a configuration setting that I just have not discovered to set this value to off as a standard default setting.

I have  a script execute upon form signature that attaches the saved form to a new email and fills in the subject and part of the body. On the previous version of Acrobat Pro DC this worked great. We just updated to 2019 and the same script now attaches the FDF rather that the PDF. What do I need to change in the script to make that happen on a user's machine?For reference, the script is below:this.mailForm(true,"deptmail@company.com","","","Form submission");I know I can select the format to attach when using the 'Send Form' action, but this needs to be scripted so I can modify the subject and body of the email.Thanks!

I've used both of these approaches successfully but would like to know which is the preferred way to add numeric field values?     a. Is example 2 preferred to example 1, or 1 preferred to 2?      b. When adding a series of numbers as in these examples, is it always preferable to enclose the number variables in parenthesis?     c. In example 1, is using "this.getField" preferred over "getField"      d. Is there a better way to do this?     e. Hi. I have created a form in Acrobat Dc using form fields to input data, then finalised by initiating an actional button to make content 'read only' which was configured using a java script with mouse up action. This form is saved in an EDRMS as a template to allow the end user to raise automatically in their respective folder to submit for approvwl. When tested by a user that has adobe pro dc installed this works well and releases automatically once the form is completed and made read only by iniating the button. However if this action is completed by a user that only has Adobe reader, the form will launch another 'save as' window which will require saving the form through navigating back to their folder to save, even though the original form (generated by the template) is still in edit mode. I have no javascript experience at all, but a client has told me it was possible to have scrollable content within a PDF. It would look something like this, but on an interactive PDF. I can create interactive buttons and forms, but It seems that only javascript can create scrollable text/content like they are asking for. I just want to confirm if this is the case, and how difficult it would be for someone to accomplish this. Really appreciate any help from the community!- John

I’m working in Acrobat DC I’m creating a business card template. The fields are EmpName, Title, PhysicalAdd, Telephone, FAX, and EmailAdd. My dilemma is with EmailAdd. The employee can choose to have their email address on the card or not. Below in span 5 you will see that I have added the @HSa.co.merced.ca.us to the span. All the worker does is enter the first part of their email in the EmailAdd field. If the employee leaves the EmailAdd fieldblank/empty, @HSa.co.merced.ca.us will still print on the card. I am new to javascript. I have a PDF form that adds all the total services [TOTAL SERVICES COSTS]. The next field is TOTAL SERVICES COST 2, where I have used a javascript to deduct 10% for pre pay. It is in the custom calculation field and reads [event.value = Number(this.getField("Total Services Costs").valueAsString) * 0.9]. It is not calculating correctly. Any help is appreciated.

Hello, I have a folder of files having over 8-10 thousand pdf file on it.... most of these files has only one bookmark on them but maybe around 1000 of them has multiple bookmark on them...I need to split these files into separate file using top level bookmarks. Problem/bug that Adobe Pro split function has, is that for all those files with one book mark it creates duplicate file for it.... i.e. there is a file called A.pdf with one single bookmark on it called BM.  Now when I ran the Split function to split it using top level bookmark, it creates another file called A_Part1.pdf in the same folder now in the same folder I have two identical file called A.pdf & A_Part1.pdf.  I do not need duplicate file with two different name.  I need to stop this duplication of file... if there is only one Bookmark then splitting operation should be skipped so I only have one file in the folder called A.pdf or if it creates A_Part1.pdf then it should delete the original file if ther

Beim Remotezugriff und starten von Adobe Acrobat DC tritt das Problem auf, dass sich der schwarze Mauspfeil nur sehr langsam und ruckartig bewegen lässt. I have Windows 10 and Adobe Acrobat DC Pro. I have a Fujitsu fi-6140 scanner. When I attempt to use Adobe to scan, most of the options (greyscale, B/W. color document, etc) are grayed out. The only option is Custom - which is also crippled with most options blank. It will not scan both sides of page, even though that was option selected. How do I repair this so all options work?

I am trying to identify what page number a certain layer is on. So I am getting all the OCGs then comparing for 2 specific layer names. "No Color" and "651 Highways"I am trying to identify what page number these reside on in the document and output it to the console. Here is my code that I am running from the document level. Hi,Everyday I have to review several pdf documents, search for specific words that are not allowed, mistakes, typos, etc, and do comment annotations, either highlights, text boxes, insert text at cursor or replace.I have found useful tool sequence that finds specific words in the pdf and highlights them, this is very helpful already but I want to take it to the next step.I am trying to find a script that instead of doing the highlight annotation, it does the replace annotation and gives an alternate option to not permitted words, for example:Lets say that the word "colour" is not permitted, it should say "color" instead. In the sequence I already have I input the "colour" in the list of words that should be highlighted, and after running the sequence the pdf would look like this:"The colour is blue"what I want is, instead of highlighting it, it should do the replace annotation and suggest the word "color" that I should've already inputted as a replacement everytime "colour" is found.
