I have a couple text boxes as follows:text1 = number that doesn't change (6.5459673)text2 = number that will change based on input from another text box (box1F6)in excel the calculation would be: 6.5459673 (or text1) * (LN(F6))I tried doing this:var nBox = + getField("box1F6").value;event.value = math.log(nBox);but that didn't even put a 0 or any input for that matter.  Any help is appreciated! There used to be a list of simple commonly used lines of code for various actions.  I can't find that list.  Does anyone know where that is?I have a multi-page pdf.  On the first page, I have a list of important dates.  These dates are based on dates entered elsewhere in the document.  I want to enter default statements in the date fields on page one, for example "Enter Delivery Date on pg 2".  Once they enter the date on page 2, I want that entered date to populate the field on page 1. Good evening, everyone!Here's the problem.  I have a numeric field which is filled in by the end user.  After that question, the user is asked to select from a drop down menu of text options.  If the selected text option is "Text A" then the numeric field should be validated to a max value of 12.  If "Text A" is NOT selected then the max value of the field is 20.  I'm trying to use the following script to validate an if/then statement.The script works well when the text is selected first, however, if the numeric value is filled first then the script does not validate the numeric field to 12 unless the user goes back into the box..  Is there a way to have the numeric field automatically correct to 12 if the value is greater than 12 if Text A is selected after the numeric field is populated?  Any help is appreciated!// Custom Validate script of a numeric text field(function () {     // Get the value of the TextChoices field, as a str

I set up my doc with layers to hide/show all active fields, etc. from anyone not using Adobe Reader DC or Acrobat. I use the script below with .hidden or .visible to control the fields and other script to hide/show text on different layers. I have the script located in a doc level script so that it runs every time the doc is opened. I also have app.runtimeHighlight = true; to highlight the fields automatically.It works, but when the document is initially opened some of the highlighted fields on the first page do not display at all on the screen while others further down the same page display with no issues. If one scrolls to the very next page and then scrolls back to the first page, all the highlighted fields are then displayed correctly. Is there a way to save data from an attachment when it's opened from Reader?I created a JavaScript enriched PDF form and attached it to a digital flyer. The flyer opens the attachment using the Doc.exportDataObject() method. Everything works great in Acrobat, but not so much in Reader.When opened in Reader, the buttons on the flyer open the attachment in a new tab properly.The form attachment, however, says data can't be saved. I have a form where my end user checks boxes next to a list of items wherby selecting each item they would like to include as extras in their new home. Each Item has a different price and some may have more than 1 quantity. At last there is an Amount column. At the bottom, the individual amounts are calculated as a Total of Extras to add to the Homebuyers Purchase. It is currently set up in an excel spreadsheet and is formulated to calculate the amount (Price X Quanity =Amount) based on the true value of the checkbox. Hello everybody,I'm getting some weird behavior when doing a custom calculation for a form field. Here is the Javascript I'm inputting:event.value=(this.getField("Purchase price").value-this.getField("Loan amount").value-this.getField("Additional loans").value-this.getField("Deposit").value-this.getField("Seller credits").value-this.getField("Agent credits").value+this.getField("Reserve req").value+this.getField("Closing costs").value)The problem is, the last field's value is appending to the calculated values above it. So everything calculates and display in the form field (except closing costs), and when Closing costs is filled in, the value gets appending rather than adding to the rest of the values like it should. Does anyone know how to fix this problem, or does anyone have any idea what is going on?Thank you!

On my form I have several numerical fields that must be completed.  I checked the "Required" property box, but I don't see any benefit.  So I used a "On Blur" script type with the javascript below.  This works but the function fires 3 times before the cursor is back in the field for correction.  Below is my script.var oal = this.getField("OAL");if (oal.value == 0){app.alert('Must complete Over-All-Length field!');oal.setFocus();}

I want to create a script or find one someone else has written that searches a 30-40 page pdf for specific text, and links to a specific page of another document. For example, the script would search for this text: "CF, pp NNN" (where CF refers to the other document, and NNN refers to the page number in the other document), then the script would add a hyperlink to that specific page number in that other document. Obviously, this can be done without a script by adding separate links, but that can be extremely time-consuming when there's hundreds of links to add. Any thoughts on how to accomplish this? 

I have a PDF form set up that when someone opens it, the cursor is set in a specific field.  My form has to be signed four times so it's passed around.  I'm trying to set it up where each time a part of the form is completed and passed on to the next person, they open the form and the cursor is set up in their part.  Here's what I have right now set up in Page Properties Action tab but it's not working:if this.getField("Sig One").value = "";{getField("Date").setFocus();} else if (this.getField("Sig One").value != "" && this.getField("Sig Two") = "";{getField("Sup Name").setFocus();and so on.  What am I doing wrong?

I have created a Form with a submit button that sends to different locations based on the result of 1 drop down menu created using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. The problem I have is that those who will be using this form only have Adobe Reader XI, and when sent to them the submit button fails to work. I have java scripted the button so not sure whether this is where the problem lies. Please assist.

I have a signature field on a form with the name "Signature of Employer or Authorized Person".For some reason, nothing happens when I run the script like this:var f = this.getField("Signature of Employer or Authorized Person);I think it's due to the spaces in between the field name. I can't change the field name through Form Edit mode since I do not own the form.Is there a way to have this field name changed or replaced with a simpler name like "signature1" via JavaScript?

I'm attempting to automate a timely monthly task that involves taking many pdfs (A, B, C, etc), combining into one document, and then sorting the pages. It is the same order every month, but there is no method for how the pages are sorted.For example, the combined document is in the order1: A pg12: A pg 23: A pg 34: A45: B16: B27:  B38: C19: D110: D2I need the order to be1: A12: A23: D24: B15: B26: A47: B38: C19: A310: D1The only idea I have is this.movePage(9,2); and so on...but that is rather clumsy and would require a pretty intense set up for the 160 pg document...I'm new to JavaScript and Acrobat, so any advice is greatly appreciated!

FIrst I apologize if Java is not what i need to be doing in this situation.   But I own a wheelchair service and we want to go paperless for the drivers.  So i created a pdf file ( by the help of google and youtube),  and so far its gone well.  But now I'm stuck.   I have realized there is alot that goes on in PDFs that requires Java Coding. What I am trying to do is this:   I have a dropdown box that list our local facilities.  Under that i have text boxes for address, city, state, zip.  What i would like to do is make it where when they click a facility name that the other info auto populates.  But I cant find anything on how to do this or even if its possible.  Again I apologize if this is not a Java task but any help Id greatlly appreciate.  ThanksTravis

What's the AVCommand's name for Optimize Scanned Pages "Scan:OPT" action? I want to call AVCommandNew, but the name for this action is not documented in the SDK. Is there a way how to call it from the plugin? Thanks.
