Good day,does anyone know how to convert a Binary file (BIN) to a Temporary Binary (1) File (BN1). I know this is old school but we have operating systems that read BN1 files, therefore I have to convert a BIN file to BN1 format.Apparently the BN1 format is a software component of Adobe Reader by Adobe Systems.BN1 is a temporary file that belongs to Adobe Reader, a freeware tool developed by Adobe to view, print and share files in Adobe's proprietary PDF format.[Moved from the Lounge (which is where you can "connect with your peers" from across all of Adobe's products for conversations that don't directly relate to help and support) to a product-specific support forum - moderator]

I have a form with a bunch of questions and then options Yes, No, NA. You can select a checkbox under each answer and then at the bottom i have a box that totals each column into "#Yes" "#no" "#NA". I have used the same script in ALL THREE boxes but only 2 (Yes and No) work. How do I calculate the quantity (2) by the cost ($10) and (discount)?  For example, (2*$10.00)*(1-15%)

I am using latest version of Adobe Acrobat DC on Windows 7 64 bit. Everything is by default like I made the only changes at the provided video.The problem is when I highlight any next in the pdf, usually in the previous version of Acrobat the icons for Cut or Copy are going to be "active"(dark grey), when some text is selected and not active icons(white gray), when there is no selection. In the latest version of Acrobat this icons are white gray and not active when the text is selected. For me there is obvious problem between the icons Copy Cut and Paste, when there are on the toolbar.Please, follow the link at acrobat bug test - Vidme Please, it's there anything which I do or that's bug? I don't have the same behavior with oldest version of Acrobat.

I have set up a couple of kiosks at my work to help people fill out forms faster. But as I found out the hard way many people who come in are very computer illiterate so I added a help buttons on each page of the form that links to a short video for each page. But the following prompt always shows up."Launch FileThe file and its view application are set to be launched by this PDF file. The file may contain programs, macros, or viruses that could potentially harm your computer. Only open the file if you are sure it is safe. If this file was placed by a trusted person or Program, you can click Open to view the file."There is a check box that says "Do not show this message again" but that only applies until the form is closed and reopened. I believe this is a trust issue, is there any way to turn it off on my kiosks or to make a javascript that will be universally allowed on my kiosks? I'm creating a user form using Livecycle designer.Here i'm not able to implement cascaded dropdownlist using javascript. I'm using ODBC dataconnection for data binding.Able to bind all data in respective dropdowns but don't know how to use cascading.I followed this link LiveCycle ES2 * Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES2  but is is not working.

Acrobat Pro DC: I've created a fillable form (with required fields which have error messages if they are "tabbed through"). After I return to and complete one of these fields, the tabbing sequence returns to the top of the form, instead of resuming from where I am. How can I make the tabbing resume from the current location?

Calculation results in a zero which appears in the field.  My form will be used for both online and hand-written completion.  I am K with keeping the 0 when viewing and/or completing online, but do not want it to print   Is there a validation script?

As all of you guys know creating forms and docs are ever changing. And, here I am in the middle of creating mine. I want to thank you guys for helping me with issues I've come up with. Now, I believe I've come up with yet another solution. Hi,I used adobe acrobat pro XI to create a form with a "Send" command button that runs the javascript below to create an e-mail with standard subject and body text. I am trying to distribute this form to my coworkers that are using the abobe reader XI program so that they have 100% standard work when sending the associated notice. Whereas this button works perfectly for me, nothing happens when my co-workers click it. I've already enabled javascript on their programs and disabled enhanced security, but nothing I see in the online forums is working. I have a PDF form that has numerous fillable form fields.  I am using a validation script that will turn the field red if an incorrect answer is entered into the field.  I would like to be able to calculate the accuracy of the form using a java script or some other function.Ultimately, I would like to be able to arrive at an accuracy rate of Correct Fields vs. Total # of fields.I also have some text fields that I would like to omit from this calculation (fields that contain instructions, for example).Any recommendations?

Hello,Here below you find a script. If you run that script on a single file, you are able to tag a pdf file in the metadata field Author (file>properties).Problem now is: I have 1000 pdf files, when I run the script and choose a "watched folder" and I proceed, then the first pdf will be tagged. After tagging the first file, I need to re set my checkmark again! This I would like to tackle. Using Acrobat Standard DC, Office 2010 under Windows 7.My Word document contains hyperlinks to other (locally stored) files. After conversion with the Office PDFMaker add-in, the resulting links are of the open a web page type instead of open a file. When the mouse is positioned over the link, a small letter W is shown). Clicking on such a link opens the default browser first, followed by Adobe Reader because the browser plugin is disabled. I expect hyperlinks to local files to open the corresponding application, not the browser.In previous Acrobat Standard XI, this worked correctly, but was not 100% reproducible.How can I control how PDFMaker is processing hyperlinks to other files (such as PDFs)?

Ist there a way to prevent printing a form until required data are filled into mandatory/compulsary fields?

I often need to convert emails to pdfs in my job, because sometimes the email contains certain information that needs to be redacted, such as student information.  I work for a university.  When the email being requested is pulled from several different accounts there is often the same email that appears in each account.  Is there a way to remove the duplicates before I start to review and redact, so I don't have to keep making the same redactions over and over?Thanks for any help.
