Hi, I am requesting support to censor words identified in a PDF using JavaScript from the console that incorporates the Acrobat Reader console. Which method can be called so that once that word is identified, the method is executed and censors the words?I hope this helps!

I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017.I want the form to calculate an amount (bonus) if a specific box is checked. If the box isn't checked, then no calculation is required.So far I have: event.value = this.getField("Salary").value * 25 / 100.0 which calculates the bonus (field called BonusTotal) as soon as a salary is entered, however, I don't want to see a bonus if the checkbox (called Bonus) is unchecked. What am I missing? Thank you!

I have a timesheet form that adds and populates based on a varied work week.  Normal work week hours can vary by each employee.  I want to auto-populate two boxes "Regular Hours" and "Overtime Hours" based on whatever is entered in the "Time in and Out" field.Regular work hours is 8 after that count as Overtime.Ex:  I would greatly appreciate any assistance with this. Thanks!

I recently uninstalled my Acrobat X Pro accidentally (experiment gone wrong) and after having a lot of trouble re-installing it, I can't get it to talk to the other Creative Suite applications anymore, i.e. Photoshop and Illustrator for PDF editing. This is the dialogue that pops up when I try to Edit Image/Edit Object: I went to Preferences and checked, and the paths to the applications are correct:but they still won't launch and the dialogue just reappears. So I'm not sure what to do from there.Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 "Adobe Acrobat has recovered one or more documents that were not saved properly before Acrobat was shut down. Click Yes to open the recovered documents. If you click No, your changes will be lost." is the message I get every time I start the application. Clicking either Yes or No results in the the app going dark and I have to open Task Manager to End Task to close the app to continue. What should I do?Steve

I want to silently print PDFs without user interaction. I’m considering purchasing a license for the Acrobat PDF SDK to achieve this. However, I want to ensure that the silent printing functionality will work for users who only have Adobe Acrobat Reader (the free version) installed, and not the full paid version of Acrobat. Could anyone confirm if it's possible to distribute my application using the Acrobat PDF SDK with silent printing enabled for users who only have Acrobat Reader installed? Are there any limitations I should be aware of, or is the silent printing feature restricted to users with Acrobat Pro?

I provide legal support to various lawyers. Part of that involves assembling documents (such as submissions, and briefs) that link to paginated bundles of electronic documents which are mostly in PDF format. I have no issue with assembling these and creating the pinpoint links to specific pages in specific PDFs on a PC. However I keep running in to the issue of when Mac users try to use the links they dont work.  The Courts have a specific format for the electronic bundles we make. Basically all the supporting docs are paginated, named by their starting page number and sit in a folder. The submissions and briefs sit in this folder as well.  I have used the Evermap plug in for Adobe to create relative links using a spreadsheet. Evermap uses this format "File://filename.pdf" or "File://Subfolder/filename.pdf" to make the relative links. However these links dont work when the files are copied to a Mac. I need to edit a PDF form but when I try to open it in Adobe Acrobat DC, it says I need Adobe LiveWire.  I guess the original document was created using this software. I would like to test this before I buy it but apparently there is no free trial available for this software, therefore, I believe my only option is to recreate the form from scratch.  I would also like to add a print button and a submit by email button so that someone can either print the document and submit or save it and email it to be printed.  As far as I can see, it is not possible to do this in Adobe Acrobat DC.  Can someone tell me which Adobe software can help me with these requirements?  I believe you used to easily be able to add print buttons to a form using Adobe Acrobat Pro.  It is very frustrating that Adobe seems to always take features out of their software.  It makes it very confusing for customers to understand which software they need to use as it seems to be constant

Has anyone written code to loop thru text (objects/labels? - NOT form fields) to retrieve blocks of text?  Looping thru all words is a bit of a kludge - I have code to do this.  Acrobat API must have a way to track text objects/labels in a document.  Just can't find the right object to reference.

Hi, I have JS that will not work for me. My goal here is insert two PDFs after it find a page with the keyword "Please make checks payable to:". I can do it for a single PDF and add to the last page. The issue here is I can have two or more page with that keyword. I.E. A single PDF with hundreds of pages. the first instance the keyword could be found on page 3. So this is when I would like to add the two PDF then the next instance would be page 5. so this is when  would like to add the same two PDFs. And this process would continue until it no long find the keyword. The problem here is all the files are downloaded as one PDF instead of single PDFs. When I print a fillable form I have created it is now printing with the check boxes filled in. The form was created in InDesign and the .pdf was made into a fillable document with Acrobat Pro. This file has always worked in the past however today it started to print with every box filled in. It seems to only be happening on my computer, my coworker was able to print it correctly. This is happening for all of the forms I have tested so far today.

I'm trying to get the BasicPlugin.cpp to compile, but it's having difficulties with the PIHeaders.h file. An error shows saying that it's missing a dependency file "ASBasic.h". I've looked around in the plugin folder and found no such header file.In one of the header files included by PIHeaders.h, there is a conditional statement to include these two headers that I can't find in the SDK. Is there a step I missed after downloading the SDK? Am I legitimately missing these files or is there another step to the installation? Is there an installation guide for the SDK after downloading it? This is the Windows 2021 v3 of the Acrobat SDK. 

I am using the starter.api extension as an example, all the extension does is a PIHandshake, set the extension name to ADBE:Starter, and set PluginImportReplaceAndRegister/PluginInit to true.when this extension is active, and Acrobat is in the "new Acrobat" UI, the Export a PDF button looks clickable, but when i bring the mouse cursor to it, it doesnt bring out the submenu. When it is in the old Acrobat UI, the "Export To" button does expand to the submenus. this happens in 2024.003.20112. Has anyone else run into this issue? do i have to enable anything special in the Plugin Initialization for it to behave in the "new Acrobat" ui?

Hello,I have scanned an old document, and am trying to edit the text inside. However, when I go to edit PDF, it does not allow me to edit the text itself. I OCR'd the document and it recognizes the text, but I am unable to edit it. I am currently using a trial version of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.The file can be downloaded here Dropbox - Sample Page.pdf .

I am using Adboe Embed API to display PDFs. I works fine in all browsers, except that when using Firefox, the print function does not work. Strangely, if I load a sample Adobe file (eg. https://documentservices.adobe.com/view-sdk-demo/PDFs/Bodea%20Brochure.pdf) it prints OK. But if I use a URL for one of my own files, all that happens when I try to print in Firefox is that the PDF is dimmed for a few seconds - but no print dialogue appears.  According to the release notes, a fix for Firefox printing was released on 27 June 2024. But I am still having problems. In all browsers except Firefox the print function works fine. Can anyone help please?
