I have a multi-page form that requires the user's name in numerous blanks. I have named all such fields  the same (“Name”) so that when the user fills in the first field all the others are also filled in. However, there is one such blank down in the pack where the user might very occasionally want to  leave the field blank or type in different information. I am new to this, but I have created a button the user can hit and make the one selected field go blank, allowing the user to then either leave it blank or type in  new information, without effecting the other fields. To do this I have cobbled together the following code: I changed name of  the field to be made changeable from “Name” to “Name1”I created a field named “Hidden” that has a display of “Hidden”I put the following JavaScript in the calculate tab of “Name1” if (this.getField("Hidden").value.length== 0)event.value = this.getField("Name").valueAsString 4. Hi, I need help.I have document level script that populates fields depending on dropdown field items, that part is working fine.What I need is one of the fields is called "Weight" it is populated with numbers but lets say I have another dropdown that will populate same field butthis time I want value to add up to previous value. How would I do that?

Hello, I have something that may be simple to most of you but difficult for me. That being said, please forgive my ignorance and thank you in advance for your valuable help! I have a form where lets say there are 3 text fields with names. Let's call them: "name1, name2, name3" and in those 3 text fields you can add a name. Let's say: "John, Jamie, Bob" (name1 = John) (name2 = Jamie) (name3 = Bob). Now let's say I have a check box next to each text field (cb1, cb2, cb3 - checkbox1, 2, 3). So now let's say I have "textbox main" and let's say I click a value of "off and on" for each checkbox. If I default cb1 for "John" or "name1" then it will appear on "textbox main". If i click on "cb2" or in this case "Jamie" or "name2" then it will appear on "textbox main". Finally if i click on cb3 or checkbox 3 for "Bob" or "name3" then again, it will appear on "textbox main". Does that make sense? I have 1000's of PDF that all need to have their headers added and modified to show the following: "Filename" / "Page Number"  Thus far I have managed to use the Action Wizard in Acrobat DC to get all the headers in the PDF's to show: xx (Placeholder text) / 1 (using the page number function in headers & footers) Is there a way to replace the "xx" (placeholder text) with the PDF filename (excl. the ".pdf") in the header using JavaScript? And can this be done in a way to automate it for all the PDF's selected?

I am trying to format a timesheet I have created for multiple departments in our office. I am wanting: 1. Where the dates autofill when they select the period end date in the "WeekEndingDate" box (where the week ending date is a Sunday).2. Auto calculate time to convert into quarter hours. I essentially want it to calculate like:(MONDAYOUTLUNCH - MONDAYIN) + (MONDAYOUT-MONDAYINLUNCH) + "WorkFrom Home Hours" = "MONDAYTotal Daily" The employee would separate out their own time in the boxes named "MONDAYTotal Daily GL Hours" and "MONDAYTotal Daily Job Cost Hours"I am not savvy with java scripts and the simple notations are not working.  

Hello all, thanks for taking the time to read this. Not sure if this is the most appropriate forum. I use notecards to study that I type in word and save as pdfs. They are all laid out the same: the odd numbered pages are the front and the next even page is the back. Is there a way to randomize a pdf document so that I can shuffle the deck, so to speak, such that it is always odd then odd+1?If you are interested, I can send you a sample pdf of my notecards, I must have close to 10,000 of them from medical school through residency, but the lack of being able to shuffle them really does hinder studying a bit. Any help would be appreciated.Creating a form w/ Yes/No radio buttons that show/hide a group of fields (section1) based on response.I can get it to work fine using for the first set (radio1) using either of the below for YES buttons (and display.hidden for NO)this.getField("section1").display = display.visible;     or, if (event.target.value != "Off") {// box is checkedthis.getField("section1").display = display.visible ;} The problem is happening when I add a second group  (radio2) to display/hide the next group of fields (section2). The debugger appears with the below...   The form needs to assign 'section1' field group to 'radio1' button setthen 'section2' field group to 'radio2' button setand i can't figure it out. I am having trouble with my script. I can get it to change to white in the form field when I enter text as I wanted, but I can't get it to change back to transparent if no text is there or deleted. I want to take the requested date of a form and auto fill boxes 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 month prior to that date. Is this possible? I have tried a few other date formula's and they are not working. I want the requested date to be mm/dd/yy format and the boxes to fill in a mmm-yy format. 

I need a little help here. I have a form with many fields. Client will use fractions (ex. 30 1/4) to enter dimensions in some fields (such as width).I would like to add and AppAlert when one of this field is more than 30. Since I have no specific format on these fields, they appear as text. I can't do a math validation on a text.Is there any way to create an AppAlert by converting the amount in the specific fields or simply add a particular formating on these ? I am using Acrobat DC Ppro.Thanks, 

I have a date field that once filled in triggers calculations in other field (set due dates two weeks out).  This field is formatted as mmmm d, yyyy but when someone types in Oct 31 it shows October 31, 2020 but the calculation in the other field does not calculate.  The other field is a read only calculate.I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

Hello, it looks like this is possible, as i've found numerous examples of how to do this, but it seems like Acrobat DC makes this prohibitively difficult compared to all the tutorials I've found. So far, i've tried to open the document, open the action wizard, create a new action to execute javascript, and added a javascript file with the following code: function printOnOpen() {  this.print({bUI: false, bSilent: true, bShrinkToFit: true});}printOnOpen(); But when I click "Start" acrobat fails on me. I created a form in Adobe Acrobat involving radio buttons and fillable fields to type in text. It appears only on Desktop, no mobile apps are displaying any of the fields. The dropdown selections appear "flattened". The radio buttons do not even appear. I have tried the Adobe Reader app, Adobe Fill & Sign, and the native iOS PDF viewer.

Hallo liebe Community ich stehe vor einem Problem welches ich zu lösen versuche und ich bis dato keine für mich relevanten Lösungen im Internet gefunden habe.In meinem Scenario besteht meine Aufgabe darin, in einer vorhandene PDF mit vorhandenen Input Felder (Eingabefelder), diese individuel anzusprechen und mit bestimmten Werten zu beschreiben. Mein Aufbau ist wie Folgt: Diese PDF liegt in einem Ordner mit einer html Datei, worin sich der Script befinden soll. Man geht auf die html, lädt in der Webseite eine bestimmte csv Datei hoch. Diese tu ich auswerten, über die Webseite noch ein paar informationen hinzufügen, um dann des in die PDF reinzuschreiben und ausgefühlt anschließend herunterzuladen. Ich kann die PDF in Textform auslesen, worin ich, wenn ich zuvor Platzhalter in die Eingabefelder platziert habe, diese ändere, dann diese veränderte Werte zwar in der PDF sehe, aber wenn ich diese versuche zu ändern, noch der alte Platzhalter drin steht.Wüsstet Ihr einen

I am trying to create a calculation sheet that only shows the result of the calculation if there is a number put in the cells above it. The values in the cells can vary from a negative numbers to positive including zero. In the date1 field, I have a date in ddmmyyyy format. In the date2 field, I want to display a date from the date1 field in the d. m. yyyy format. How to do it?

Surely I haven't tried everything but it feels like it. I have a fillable PDF form with a SUBMIT button that emails the form to me. I want to receive the form in a non-editable format and I want the editable form to clear after it's submitted so the next user opens a blank editable form. I also have a signature field but it is not a required field. Some users may only have Reader, not everyone will have full Adobe (I'm using XI Standard). I'm having the following troubles: 1. When I receive the form, I don't want it to be editable anymore. Have tried running a javascipt to lock form before SUBMIT but it remains locked when the next user goes to fill out the form again.2. I want the form to clear when the next user goes to complete the form. I've tried adding javascript after the SUBMIT button but it clears the form when I open it as the recipient. I've tried to add this action to the page preferences (clear on page open) but it also clears the form when the email recipient opens t

Hello. I need to add a code/script in Adobe Acrobat so that the calendar / date field appears in a language other than English, particulartly, in Dutch.  Is there a way to do this?? I cannot install the program in Dutch because I don't speak the language. So I just need to know a way to change this field to a another language format so that when they open the form and click on the dropdown arrow in the date field, the calendar appears in Dutch.  Also, is there a way to do this for a telephone field?? change it to another country's format??Please HELP!!
