Does anyone know if the zero-day exploit affecting the popular Apache Log4j utility (CVE-2021-44228) that was announced on 12/9/2021 will affect Adobe Document Cloud SDK solution?

I've got a modest amount of experience with markdown-->html-->pdf using puppeteer etc. but for speed to market the Adobe Doc APIs services can't be beat. Still, I can't seem to find any mention of code or mechanism to create a TOC in MS Word.  Any advice would be much appreciated.  

Hi, I have a question about using the Adobe PDF Embed API with a pdf file that has been stored within a database in a varbinary format, I have created a Blazor project to view a pdf which worked by setting the data of an object to a data url however it didn't work with large files in some browsers as they had a data url limitation. So I found this api and the example which easily loaded the same large files in this browser however I have not been able to get it to work.Here is the relevant codea div with id="adobe-dc-view"A function which is called by a button and calls upon a js functionand a js function within a .js fileThe js file is refrenced in the _Host File and already has another function within it that works.I believe the fault my lie in the js function code as I am unfamiliar in converting html scripts into a seperate file.Would very much appreciate any help that anyone has on this matter

I have to sign (with a Digital ID) a lot of pdf files with the 'Digitally Sign' feature where I have to enter the rectangle manually so it cannot be automated.It is extremely frustrating that the 'Digitally Sign' function is only available with Tools-> Certificates -> 'Digitally Sign'.Why it isn't on the 'Sign' menu?Why hasn't a Hotkey for it?Why I can't define a Hotkey for it?Why I can't call it from Javascript?Could anyone help make the digital signature process could be faster, easier...?Thanks,J 

Hello,Is there there  a way to generate PDF and add annotations that are created from the PDF Embed API?Currently, we are using PDF Embed API to view pdf documents and allow users to add some annotations.We store the annotation data into a database and we want to generate a new pdf with the annotations. We can do this for one pdf document using PDF Embed API but we want to bulk generate new pdfs.The reason for this use-case is we are allowing our users to download multiple pdf documents at one time.So we need to do it from the server side without using the pdf embed viewer. We cannot merge the annotations directly to the pdf document because we have a configuration to view original pdf and the version without the annotations, that is why we store the annotation data separately.We can't store 2 versions of the pdf either because we allow only specific annotations from specific users to be included on the generated pdf. Thanks, 

It seems the Adobe API endpoint for PDF to DOCX conversion did not work between approximately 17:16 UTC and 19:25 UTC. In that time period all our requests made with the .NET Adobe.DocumentServices.PDFTools API client either hung eternally or timed out. Was this outage of your API related to the AWS US-EAST-1 outage today?

Hello, I need to convert PDF files to XLSX by .NET with requests to the Adobe API, but when I make the request, the API gives me the following message: {"Error response received for the request: The underlying connection was closed: Unexpected error in a submission."} Any suggestions for a possible fix?Thanks. 

Hi!I'm trying to parse a PDF with multiple page and section. Basically, you have a kind of header par with some text and after a table. Both are parsed, but thetable are parsed in the CSV  and the "header" in the json and there's no way to match both part together. So I cannot know to which part the table belong too. Is there any solution for that? Or can we split PDF based on text string?Thanks

Hi, I want to show all the bookmarks for the pdf in the embed view. Please note that the pdf has the bookmarks. But it is not showing that in the embed view. It is only showing the thumbnail switcher in the left hand pane. Is this achievable?

Hi, One quick question: I contacted Adobe's tech support number and was informed Adobe Embed PDF API is only available to Enterprise subscribers. I am an individual subscriber of Adobe's Creative Cloud and have assess to all their apps for $55 per month. This is not clear to me.Doesn't my subscription include Adobe Acrobat among other apps? Why am I not allowed to use the Embed PDF API feature? This is an important feature that should be available to all subscribers.Have i misunderstood their tech support? Did he mean I don't have assess to their tech support unless I am an Enterprise level subscriber or did he really mean I can't use the Embed PDF API feature at all?Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

When you hyperlink a mail ID in Indesign, convert it to PDF, and render the PDF on a web page as API, the email link does not work. When you click the email link you get an alert:Do you want to open this link: mailto:abc@hpe.com?, when you click yes, you are taken to a 403 Forbidden page and the address bar shows: https://documentcloud.adobe.com/view-sdk/2.22.1_2.8.0-5d611c6/nullabc@hpe.com.Ideally, it should prompt user to open the link in email app. What is the resolution for this?

I'm trying to use .net sdk to create PDFs using URLs, when I try to convert HTTP site insted of HTTPS I'm getting an exception saying it's only working on HTTPS urls, Is there any workaround or option to enable this to work on HTTP sites as well.

For secure PDFs, such as embedding an expensive book for members-only, how can I stop them viewing the source and copying the URL into a browser to download the PDF? Here's the part that they could copy-paste: content: {location: {url: "https://documentcloud.adobe.com/view-sdk-demo/PDFs/Bodea Brochure.pdf"}}, Encoding the PDF as a base64 doesn't seem to work looking through the forum, and would make a massive line of code for this book. Perhaps setting something on the PDF file so that even if they download it, they can't open or print it.  I suspec this will affect the embedded file, so it might not be possible. Appreciate any thoughts, thanks in advance.

I have a{% repeating-section objectname %} element inside a .docx word template which I need to ensure starts on a new page instead of breaking mid-section. Here is a sample of how it looks in the Word template: {% repeating-section quotes %} {{Name}} {{QuoteID}} {{morefields_etc_etc}} Information about each quote goes here in a table, but I might have 10 quotes which are being iterated. Quote #3 gets broken across two pages in the PDF result. I want to include a CSS tag in the word template which performs the function of: page-break-inside: avoid; {% end-section %} I have tried{% repeating-section quotes page-break-inside: avoid; %} but it didnt work and the entire loop was ignored. How can I get a conditional page break? 

Hello,I am very new to using postman to make API Calls. I have started my trial for PDF Extract API and downloaded the REST API Postman collection file Extract.json. Imported the same in Postman as a collection and get the Submit and Poll requests. I have updated my Client ID as x-api-key value and pasted the jwt token after Bearer in the autorization key value. There're some libraries out there one can use for the task, but sadly their results lost doc structure, therfore they're not acessible at all.I wish to know what is the Doc API results accessibility level ¿Can I recommend it?

We're attempting to implement use of the PDF api for our external site, but we're finding that many of our clients have firewalls that are blocking the documentcloud.adobe.com since it's basically a file upload site. The product Zscaler actually blocks it by default. This has the result of blocking the necessary include files. We can whitelist it for ourselves, but not for the general public or our many clients. We've tried a reverse proxy, but that also didn't work all that well. Is there any chance to move these js files to somewhere that's not under a commonly blocked subdomain?
