Can I use stock photo for web template thumbnail?

I would like to sell a website template through online template shop.

For the template thumbnail/demo, can I use stock photo(with standard license)?
However, the buyer cannot access/download/own the stock photo after they brought my template.
They only have the source code of my template as a final product.

Thanks!

No you can't. You can use the low resolution image with the Adobe Stock Watermark on it for free though.

Hi,

So is it OK  if I'm using standard licensed images from Adobe Stock in the template demo/preview on Theme forest and then for the actual downloaded theme i put in water mark images so the user cannot use them?

I would say no it isn't. Nothing stops the user from downloading the images from the preview. and replacing them in their template.

Thanks Brad.

The Demo is not for sale. People cannot download the demo. They can only see it and purchase and download the actual theme which will have the image water marked. A user can download the images from ANY website right? Adobe will probably penalize the user and not that website. Then isn't it fair to allow us to use standard licensed images in our theme demo because we're not selling the demo?
