New Adobe E-Sign is AWFUL!

So I have been using Adobe e-sign for the last year and it has done everything we as a business need it to, however in the last week my adobe has updated and it is awful!

As a company we have an adobe pdf form that we use for employee expense forms, however once these are filled out and sent over to us in accounts to send to the relevant manager for signing, when we send for e-sign through adobe all of the information that has been typed into it disappears and it sends a blank document to the manager to sign. To get around this we have to save every unsigned expense form and then upload and send for signature through the outlook add on, this is very long winded and a duplication of work...

Also, we have forms within the company that need to be sent to a form filler to fill out and then sent on to the manager for signature, the new e-sign doesn't give me the option to select someone as a form filler anymore which means that it no longer serves the purpose!!

Adobe Sign is still awful in 2025. I got an updated computer which switched to the new Adobe Sign and it has made the entire experience more difficult and incredibly frustrating. I used to be able to fill and sign a document then a simple click to start the request signature process. Now I have to open Adobe web browser, upload the document there and then battle with adding fields, changing the date format every single time, and now the programme freezes part way through so I have to start all over again. Utterly horrendous for the user, and it seems that this has been happening to others for 2 years.

Hi kay_1961,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the trouble caused.

Please let us know if you are experiencing issues when using the Acrobat Sign in the Acrobat desktop application. If yes, could you please share more details about what happened? It would be helpful if you could share the screen recording.

Also, please share the Acrobat and OS version numbers on the machine.

Feel free to let us know if you need any help.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

I cannot find out how to request signature in the desktop application. Our IT dept said the way that request signatures have to be compiled now is in the web browser.  Acrobat version 2025.001.20577 64 bit / OS - Windows 11 Pro. OS Build 26100.4652

Got a banner notification in the system today saying that the classic experience is being decommission on April 22nd, 2025. "Ok, let me try out the new expereince then...." JFC it's frustratingly terrible. Sent a routine template package I normally send out with every contract on an almost daily basis. Something that usually takes 5 minutes took me nearly half an hour to prefill and launch. The system was ungodly slow. The further I got into the package, the slower the field responsiveness became. I'd prefill a field and wait 10 seconds for what I type to populate. There's absolutely no way this level of performace is sustainable for us. I will absolutely spearhead the effort to shift our entire university to another service provider if this is going to be the case.

Well, if I'd compare their e-sign of today (end of March 2025) with the one in 2024 (that all of you consider and awful garbage), well... the one in 2024 were A True Beautiful Piece of Art, cos only today they really succeeded to attain Perfection in obtaining a Trully Awful Horrible Garbage! But let's face it, it's not the only software that became dumber and dumber...

PLEASE bring back the Echosign interface!

My company has been using Echcosign and now Adobesign for many years.

Echosign was seemless, intuitive and worked so well - we could even have 2 users setup on the same account so that documents could be shared  and viewed etc.

Now all that has gone. the new linsing pricing means that we have to have 2 separate accounts, otherwise is double the cost for a 'team' account.

When adding multiple templates to one send, they are now called 'binder' and you have to change the name manually for the document AND the cover email message. in Echosign it would default to the first template added.

In Echosign the initial screen where you seleted document and added email address sent you straight to the prefill screen, now you have to open the templates in the edit mode, change the names, add the signature and then send to prefill... if it works as a lot of the time it errors.

Utter garbage Adobe.. why change something which worked so well?

My client spends upwards of $1500 annually to use this in their 4 sites for rental operations.  In the last week, they started getting server error 500 on every attempt to send a completed form for signatures.  I have spent the last 3 days trying to troubleshoot and this afternoon chatting with support only to find out that they do NOT support their Adobe Acrobat Sign app for iPads or tablets.  They tell me I must go to forum.adobe.com which no longer exists.  Crappy help from a big company!  I am now researching alternatives and my client will be cancelling their subscription before it renews next month!

It has really gone from bad to worse.  The original version worked just fine. Check out the layout for adding a "Message" to the customer. Doesn't even fit in the box and no room for adjusting.  Been using this for years and its getting slower on every update.

Like big goverment, big companies are have completely disconnected with the working people actually inpacted with the products/services they provide.  Time for a cleanup in both.  Gonna try something new now.

OMG this is the worst tool EVER. I cannot do intuitive things (oh, but Docusign can). So I should just cancel my subscription (oh, you cant without paying a hefty fee). You did not deliver a good product but youll take my good money

Pre-filled forms you upload still ERASE ALL THE DATA WHEN YOU SEND IT.

You said this was being worked on in October 2023. This is over a year later.

What is going on over there?

The built-in email system is horrible as it doesn't provide any options to prepare the email to send at different times. If you use an email template, it can't be used. The whole system is a non-familiar and non-inviting email environment.

It truly is complete garbage.  I try to sign with my pen and the lag is absolutely horrible.  I commend Adobe in delivering an absent terrible product I'm honestly now looking at DocuSign or something similar.
