Specify First and Last Name of the Signatory in Request E-Signatures

How do you specify signatory's first and last names while requesting E-Signatures?

When I click tools->requesting E-Signatures->Add recipients to eSign this document, there is a box below with greyed wording-> Add name or email.

  1. If I type in first name and last name of the external signatory, it says first, last name is an invalid email address.
  2. If I type in an email address of the external signatory, it shows the email address to the signer. The email address is NOT the signer. So that's problem with just typing in an email address.
  3. If I type in both first name and last name, and email address, it produces an error.

In DocuSign, you got 3 fields: first name, last name, and then email address. Problem solved.

So how do I list the First and Last Name of the external Signatory when requesting request E-Signatures from an external party?

Hi ruif84218077,

Thank you for reaching out.

We have checked that you are using the Acrobat Pro DC subscription that includes the Acrobat Sign individual.

The settings suggested by Steve will not be available in your account.

The feature to change the settings is available only with Acrobat Sign Business and an Enterprise plan.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi there,

This can be enabled by an account admin. Visit Account > Account Settings > Send Settings > "Require recipient name when sending from Adobe Acrobat Sign web application".

Checking this box will change the 'Send' screen to now have 3 fields for each signer: first name, last name, and then email address.

Hope this helps!

Steve
