Rejected for Quality Issues – AI Fantasy Art Critique Please

Hello Stock Contributors community,

I am a new contributor and all my first 5 AI-generated fantasy hybrid illustrations were rejected for "Quality Issues" (likely excessive filtering/artifacts/noise).

Here are screenshots of the rejected images:

Can someone please review them and help me understand:

- What specific problems do you see (noise in dark areas, over-smoothing, unnatural sharpness, artifacts on fur/scales/wings, etc.)?

- Is it from AI generation or post-processing/upscaling?

- How to fix it (prompt changes, reduce filtering, add grain, other tips)?

Thank you so much for any feedback, critique or advice!

Best regards,

ShadowTales AI

Sharpness and paying attention to detail will help you going forward. I marked the borders on one image, but I assume these weren’t included when submitted.  I would also recommend that you submit the original images in the future, rather than screen shots. Unfortunately, the new forum has a 5 MB limit, so some reduction in file sizes may be necessary until the limit is increased.

I’m no judge of AI fantasy art. There might be a market for it somewhere, but it’s not a genre I deal with personally or professionally.

That said, the same quality standards apply to all artwork, regardless if it’s real photography, illustration or AI. It must make sense visually and be suitable for commercial use in print, digital and textile products (T-shirts, tote bags, etc...).

This is what you’re competing with in Stock’s fantasy inventory.

    https://stock.adobe.com/search?k=fantasy+art  13.7 million results.

    Good luck.

Update: Thank you for the previous feedback!

I reduced sharpness, added grain, and softened some edges (especially the tail as you marked).

Here are "before" and "after" versions of one image:
[прикрепи два скрина рядом: оригинал и после правки]

Could you please check if this version looks better and would pass Quality Issues now?
Any remaining artifacts, over-smoothing, or tips?

    Thank you so much!

I mean more in the sense that it should look like an actual tail, not a tassel. Or even this. As far as whether or not ANY changes you make will guarantee approval, that remains to be seen. I’m not a moderator and I have limited knowledge of their criteria, especially when it comes to fantasy images.
