Lost Scanned Documents

Hi Community,

I have lost some crucial scanned documents from archives that I was using for research in Argentina (I'm based in the UK). They were definitely saved as PDFs on the app and I did not delete them but they have disappeared completely from the app. They are also not on the Document Cloud. They had not been backed up on the cloud yet, but were saved PDFs on the app. This only happened because I didn't have wifi connections when I was in the archives.

Is there a backup server they might have been saved to? Please can someone from Adobe help me with this. It would be detrimental to my research if I lose them and a real shame for what I thought was a great product.

All best

Khem

    Hi there,

    Sorry for the trouble caused.

If the files does not show in Adobe Scan or in the Document Cloud, there is no way to recover them.

When the file saves in offline mode, it get automatically uploaded to Document Cloud once the internet connection is available.

Did you enable the option "Save original images to gallery" in the Adobe Scan preferences? If yes, you may have the images of the documents available on the device.

As the file was not saved to the Document Cloud, it is not possible to recover it.

Let us know if you need any help.
