Question

Pages disappearing

Hi all,

I’ve been using adobe scan for a couple years now for work. I use it to scan my receipts for my expense report in which I typically continue adding pages throughout the week. This used to work great - at the end of the week I’d save them as a PDF and email them to myself.

Lately, I’ve noticed that after a couple of day (possibly even after each day - I’m not totally sure), the pages disappear and I have to start all over again.

Did something change? Is it not possible to continue adding pages throughout multiple days before saving it as a PDF? It’s been extremely frustrating to have to scan all of my receipts at once rather than being able to do it throughout the week. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Mcarp,

As you have mentioned that you used to take scans and continue to add pages to it through our the week without saving to PDF.

Once you take the scan, do you leave the application open till you take the next scan? It may be possible the application closes due to which the recently taken scans disappears as they were not saved.

Would like to inform you that you can add pages to the scan that are already saved to PDF. I would suggest you to use that option instead of the workflow you were using. It will save the new pages you add to the scanned file.  For that, open the saved scan file in the application and click on Modify icon  > Add page.

You may also enable the option "Save original image to Gallery" in the application preferences. In this way all the scans you will take will get saved as image in the gallery. In this way, even if the pages disappear, you can again scan them and save it to PDF once you are done with all the scan pages.

Hope the infomation helps.

Let us know if you are referring to something else.
