After Effects CANT import

Writing again a few months later about the same issue, I create animations with adobe animate and drag and drop the files into after effects with no issues to edit the layers etc. No problems. But randomly in the middle of a project or two I go through the process of importing my Animate files into after effects and It gets stuck on "preparing to import" and then freezes and crashes and the only way to import is by publishing a swf file but then I cant edit the layers individually, If anyone knows how to fix this I would love some help

My pc specs are good, I have not changed any settings between how I import and what I import. Its all the same but it just randomly stops working. My softwares are all up to current date and have been working fine until now again.
