Questions

Is there an easier method to moving the timeline instead of selecting and dragging all of the layers? I have a bunch of folders and layers and I'm working on my animation in different areas. For example I started working on the end of the animation, and now I'm working on something in the middle and I have to push the timeline forward now. Sometimes it messes up the timeline when I move the layers forward. 

Hi everyone, Here I have a symbol(symbol1), it contains 3 layerslayer1, named 'as', it contains only one line on frame 100 removeChild(this)​ layer2, is a layer contains pic1layer3, is a layer contains pic2 It goes all well. Until I changed layer2 and layer 3 into symbol2 and symbol3.After layer2, layer3 are changed into symbols.Symbol2 is put back on layer2, and Symbol3 is on layer3.Everything keeps same, just all key frames are now contained in individual symbols. And then,  code on layer1 raises error.  IT DOES NOT WORK NOW.Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: flash.display::Stage@5e12d25d0d1  cannot convert to flash.display.MovieClip I've also tried  removeChild(this.symbol2) to remove one layer directly. I imported audio into my project, 44 kHz Mono 16 Bit 2.5s 31.5 kB, it doesn't play the sound at all. It's an ActionScript file. It's not in a symbol, it's on a layer. Audio isn't muted in Animate. I'm very lost.

how can i set mute/unmute button synchronizedly when I want to changed to next scene. example I already play the sound at scene 1 but when I go to the scene 3, I was muted the button, and then when I go to scene 4, supposedly system will muted the sound because previous sceneI have muted the sound. But when I changed to scene 4 the sound play from the beginning of music. and this problems continuously to others frame also.  I very need a help, thank you

I'm pretty new to adobe animate so if someone could help me out that would be great. I set the opacity to some of the layers on my aniation to 50%, but when I preview the animation all the layers are back to 100%. Is there anyway I can prevent this? 

Does anyone know why when I generate a sprite sheet from a symbol it leaves a blank space in between each sprite (I have used a non-transparent background to show this space). This is one of many sprite sheets that I am attempting to make with this program and the other ones seem to work just fine with and export without this white space.

Flash Player 35 supports a much needed larger address space, but while that player is included in the Animate installation, at least since Animate 2023, it's not listed in the pulldown of the available player targets in Publish Settings, which still stops at Flash Player 32

Hello guys! I'm pretty new to animate (I come from after effects) but I've been ask to create some html5 banners. So I'd like to ask you if you know tutorials/courses that can help me in understanding the basis and how to create/handle the process of making and deliver html5 banners. I've seen some options on udemy but the feedbacks aren't that great. Can anyone help me? Another point is what are the main skills one should have to create html5 banner in a professional envirnoment?I'd say knowledge in Animate CC, html, css and javascript and experience with the major publisher.Do you think these skills could be enough in case I need to hire someone?Thank you very much!!!Mario

so im using different music in an animation in animate. ive made a new layer and named it music. i make a black keyframe and put music on it. i want it to play for a few moments and then stop. how do i do this? i know this is a dumb question but i put it down and tried to remove all of the sound by removing the frames, whidch is usually how i get rid of frames but the music stilll plays.

Can anyone help me with making the walk cycle smoother? i am so mad that its not that accurate. and its not that smooth. does someone have an idea how to fix it? i will show the video how it looks and how i wanted it to be 

Has anyone seen a limit to the cumulative size of swfs that can be loaded at run time in Flasg Player 32? While the Animate preview loads and plays those swfs, Flash Player 32 hangs during the load of multiple swf after the total exceed ~500MB. Has anyone else seen this, and found a way around it?

Hello, My son uses Animate to make short videos and episodes of a little series he shares with his friends. He's never had a problem exporting any of his work to a video except for this specific file. I'm not familiar with how the program works but I thought I'd share the file on his behalf to see if anyone could try and see what's causing it to freeze during export, whether trying to covert to AVI, H264 or any other format.  I have been messing with this for the better part of 2 hours. I tired to attach an FLA but it wouldn't let me. its 1152x658 all shapes no imagesMy OAM file is 10.5 MBQuestion 1: Why is my file so big 1 there are no images. I broke apart the SVG's its still 10.5MBI had some text layers I deleted still 10.5textured / Image assets/sprite sheet all 10.5 - 10mb Question 2: Whats the proper publish setting for the scenario below?I have literally 70 designers I want to unleash in the animate community, I just need to make sure I train them right an I know what the F I'm talking about everything we will do will most likely 1152x648 and placed in indesign, probably a mix of SVG's, pngs and Jpgs what would be the next publish settings for our needs

So far everything looks very easy to control in this program-- but the FPS is stuck on 30. and I don't see any way to change it. I'd like to have the option of animating in 2's (12 fps) or using standard film frame-rate (24 fps)-- this must be an option right?

Many fonts are not working in Adobe Animate. Spaces are not rendering correctly within letters. I used Adobe Fonts, and the fonts work well in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc., but not in Adobe Animate. I am using MAC.  when I send a File to a Windows user Font works well for Them.

Hey all! After I zoom in past the 400% mark, a grid pops up and I cannot figure out how to disable it. Is this a new locked in feature? It just slows my computer down.My grid is off, and I cannot find another way to mess with the settings.  Thank you all for your help!-Nick

I created a interactve file in html5 canvas, I need to publish it andupload thethe MagicInfo platform. The site works fine when published using animate test.  But it cnnot run locally because of the security issues .but to be able to upload it to magicInfo, the file has to have no security blocks. That is to be able to be oppened in a browser. even offline My question is,  are the security blocks a result of the browser, or do they come in the code of the published files form animate.thanks for the help.!  

I'm trying to build a really simple clickable prototype. There's a movie clip with an instance name "emailFocus" and when I click it's supposed to go to frame 5. Really easy, right?But, it's not working at all. There's nothing happening on click.Possible complications...1. There is a large bitmap background2. Hello, Recently, I had a problem with my Adobe Animate project that had to do with the scenes, my ActionScript code, and my camera. Ever since I added my buttons for the "Intro" scene, things started to get weird. I got ActionScript output errors stating my Dream and Room scenes don't exist, a lot of ActionScript #1120 errors on my Room and Dream buttons, and even my camera not working in the Room scene. I don't know why, but when I try to change some segments of my code, the errors persist. Is it because Adobe Animate updated, there are errors in the Camera functions, or even the code itself is outdated? I have no clue what's going on, and I hope to find a solution to it. Furthermore, I'm new to ActionScript so I don't know a lot about it. The code snippets were extracted from our textbook. I've been trying to export my animation, but the file never shows up in the queue in Media Encoder. Can someone help me out? 

I would just like to know how do you save a project in Adobe AN and then return to finish it later?

I've been animating for a few months and I took a week off, when I came back when I try to move a symbol when it is in a layer instead of adding a keyframe it selects the entire layer and doesn't add a keyframe. Any help would be nice.
